guess i will share my renovation quotation here: My ID work include: Half height shoe cabinet 1.4m with internal carcass (colour PVC) Glass door for kitchen Window for service yard Kitchen cabinet - Bottom Cabinet 14ft with Caesar Stone top 9ft top cabinet (all drawer with Blum runners/hinges) 2 tall unit (1 for oven 1 for my little pantry) Shower screen for both toilets Master bedroom 9ft wardrobe with internal carcass Painting of whole house Total: $13K Evorich Flooring: Living room, bedroom, corridor and kitchen - $5K Electrical Work: Too much to type guess i will skip total $1.5K Plumbering: F.O.C =x Wet Work: Craft stone - < $1K Labour - $1K Kitchen base and toilet base - $X Curtain: Venetian Blind - $1,430 (whole house except kitchen yard and air con ledge window)

just check with my contractor(electrician), he is tied up with work at the moment dun think he wan to take on any job... Sorry haha~ sorry... craftstone i got it for less den 1k and the labour to lay the craftstone is around 1k =) Will PM u ^^

Hi 11finger, my stove and oven is at the shorter side of the kitchen wall as the water point (fix by hdb is at the longer side) the craftbrick wall is done by other contractor. They haven't invoice me yet (despite me chasing for it =.= ) but the price is about 1k during our initial discussion. we paid $1,430 (we nv do the air con ledge window) Still waiting for invoice. Will update when received >.< Kensaiz, overlay cost nearly 5k (inclusive of GST). As the method of installation is clip on, i foresee not much difficulty in removing it in the future. Not sure is it because of premium flat and standard different, my friend (premium) tiles is those gloss smooth finishes like marble tile whereas mine is matt rough surface which trap dirt easily..... Pricing for my renovation unknown yet cause my builder and electrical yet to bill me~ will update again =D

hmm... actually i nv really research much on hood~ i have purchased my hood before i went to Hoe Kee where they introduce to me this hood (the one eelnaes purchased. which they do not need any filter, just to wash the tray. Save cost in long run as well. haha~ too late for me to think about it now~ is consider as carpentry work right?

ur ID nv include tile sourcing for u? How much is it to screed ur kitchen and toilets?

haha PTopaz, technically we still need to wash and wipe the hood. my "maintenance free" mean no need to buy/change filter. Just wash will do. is it expensive to have design at the bottom half of the wall?? nice~

ask ur id to come out with two design of diff colour for you to choose =x i would choose dark colour for light wall as there will be a contrast. but light on light also go well with one another.... haha~(like giving you "Fei hua" like that =x) u have put your furniture colour into consideration as well not just the wall colour.

hijack ur post =p, for me i find that heating up of water will took about 10min or lesser (did not measure but quite long... i could have finish wetting my head and shampoo while waiting for it to become hot) You can leave the electrical power on as the heater will only start to heat up when it detect water running through (when you on the tap) similar to electrical heater....

if u feel comfortable with the contractor/ID i guess is okay to do so ba... but of course at least get a rough quote how much it will cost. My ID passed me a price list and we count the number of point/lighting we need/want to do and multiple by unit rate to get a rough guide on the total cost. Then i get another contractor and went through the same items and he quote me lesser den my ID so i just ask him to proceed. there's always someone lowest than the other but it is quite a tiring process to source one by one. as long as there's a bit of saving(100 and above not few dollar different) i am fine with it pm u =) my wife and i were satisfy with the fan. but the coverage areas not as big as we tot.... overall can feel the air blowing~ initially there is sound coming out but we call crestar and they send guy down to inspect and do adjustment. After that no more noise problem....

Er.... actually i am waiting for my contractor to invoice me the price =x they proceed with the works before coming out a quote =D but roughly he gave an estimated price of < $1,500.

did u report as defect to bsc regarding the toilet tiles or your contractor will make it good? when cleaning toilet i also found those chip off tile, still thinking whether to report to BSC.....

btw i like to update fellow ppl, that this lock CANNOT be used for HDB metal gate =( Sorry if i have cause any unnecessary purchase; as we wanted to kept the lock till move in then use hence we din try out till recently. cannot fully lock =( we have to think of else where to use the lock.....
