Depends on what you need lor. If you need someone to design and plan your space, look for the ID and don't complain so much on the 'outsourcing'. Otherwise if you're able to supervise, space plan and come out with your own design, get a contractor. They'll just follow what you ask them to do. -
Your kitchen's tiles make a part of it looks so dirty, like so orh-so-so. Hahahaha. Anyway good job on your t-blog! I enjoy reading the texts, you can probably be an author already.

Woah you've got really bad luck! Paid 100k for a disaster prone reno. x.x Go to his shop and bang table daily! -
Ah, my favourite brickwall! Good luck for your reno!
-
Good luck for your reno! I'll be looking forward to stalk your blog!

That's a very nice concept you have there! Must be a real hectic, to prepare for both renovation and wedding! Hubs and I are leaning towards the vintage/cosy feel, with brickwalls + spotlights but at the same time adding hints of minimalist (small space, sigh!) inside. Ahhhhhhhhh, such an exciting period! Goodluck!!

Nowadays contractors are disguising as IDs too, so the rates wont be that cheap la. Perhaps 20% cheaper lor i guess......... But you need your own design, everything also do yourself. Phew, so mafan!
-
At the end of the message can say that you'll not hesitate to refer them to your friends if needed lor. Like that they also feel better ;p

As long as you dont take the quotations that you got from other companies to the next, should be quite normal lah. I did the same afterall hahahahaha. Just that I got lazy after awhile and just take up the quotation from the most friendly ID. Hubby doesn't know this yet, LOL.

Kitchen cabinet quite chor one leh, easily few thousands.
-
My guess will be around 20k to be safe. Tiling + Carpentry + plumbing + Electrical works + hacking + paint + labour to remove (Old) and install new accessories.
-
Contractor price maybe can, but ID price cannot one la.... 5 rooms easily can reach 60k *Ouch!*.
-
Alot of self adverts here. Hahhahahahhaa. Resale flats generally will be more expensive I guess especially if you'll need to hack away the current tiles and accessories. Depending on what you want lor, if you add alot of carpentry then.... Cannot la. But 35k should be quite do-able since the most basic renovation will cost around 18k liao for a 3 rooms resale?

Kitchen normally quite expensive one leh, especially the top and bottom cabinets. The price are scary! ><

Then the dining / kitchen! Not a heavy cooker (poor hubs!) and to save on space, we're thinking about open kitchen concept, as well as a island to settle our meals on! Not too sure whether it'll be a good idea. Bathroom! Sigh, no space for my bathtub, T_T Hubs is secretly happy cause he didn't have to buy the pink tub for me, hmph! > After posting I feel even more confused than ever LOL. Please help!!!!
