The switches in tmall are so so much cheaper than singapore. any idea if it's okay to use them?

I was trying to get the shipment charges waived. But they wouldn't budge. Still considering whether I should give in cos the shipment charges is around usd 130. I've spoke to three different CSOs and they refused to waive it. When I told them I had friends who had theirs waived, they asked for the order numbers to verify. Just a reminder that you should be prepared to pay for the shipment. That would take the price to usd 530. Sigh.

How much did you pay for the double glazed windows? Are they effective? Do we need special HDB approval cos they are heavier? Can I have the contact please? -
Why do you need a ventilation fan by the way?

I see. Thanks for the detailed explanation. By the way, what if I need more than 1 LAN ports per room? Is that technically possible? Based on conservative estimates, I would need 6 for the living room alone. 1 TV 1 Router 1 Apple TV 1 Media Centre 1 PS3 1 IP Camera I was told also to use a switch as well. Where or how should I install that?

I'm thinking of buying those Legrand socket outlets which is multi-standard. Reason being i find plugging in those adaptor for two pin switches a pain and unsightly. Anyone knows if it's possible?

So, have you spoken to Louis' contact? I agree. I've stayed a little bit in europe and the quality of their furnishing and fittings are way way better than Singapore's. The windows are not only double-glazed but also has three different ways of opening. I have no idea why singapore being so noisy and hot has such lousy windows fitted. Don't tell me the flats are cheap. They are anything but that.
