  1. Hi Latitude, How big is your HHS and how much did you pay? Is it the bolt type or slot type. Thanks.
  2. Oh... Dun have. Bought from Courts. Maybe kenna ketok? Haha..
  3. Oh so not all Best Denki lah. I also got 500 taka voucher. Hee.
  4. Wah so much. One question. Are there any restrictions on the use of the vouchers?
  5. Haha. I sacrifice.. Take your vouchers cheap cheap to fulfill your dreams.. Hee..
  6. Huh? Latex cover? Dun have. Only got 2 pillows and 1 mattress protector. Yah, round 2 this wkend..
  7. Updates for the week. After a long break.... Most impt item of my home 2nd most impt The rest, not in order of preference Fridge - on the right, kitchen tower holder Washer n dryer 1 full day of washing... Dead tired..
  8. Done! Got the lock installed. No scrapping needed. Hee.. Thanks.
  9. Haha.. Yah, me too. So far big items from them. !!
  10. I think depends on where the strings curtains are from. Was quoted $80 for about 3ft ~ 1m to ~$2xx for the same length. Cheaper one from China, cant wash and the expensive one is imported, can wash. So must see if which one, coz price diff quite alot.
  11. Aiyah, read here (Renotalk) read there (Sg brides), ask my mom and gather some truth from Court, Best, HN sales person lor. Yah, like Applefreak say, research for new home mah. Usual lah.
  12. Oh, one other thing that might sway ur consideration. Brandt and Thomson I think same parent company. And we all know that Thomson is a very good brand. Jus that Thomson has a very small opening at the top which make it very inconvenient to load. Brandt I am referring to is the front load manufactured in cheaper location ones. Those from Europe are still very expensive. Haa..
  13. Like wat Mist said. And u can insert the key from inside or outside. So no need to find the key hole, take out the lock, etc.. Haha. Yah, i think should be ok. Since I got the big one (Art 338).
  14. Er.. Suppose to spin more dry so dryer dun need to work so long. Dryer clothes = less time in dryer. Once u switch on dryer it is sapping electricity one. Dryer got set low temperature and cool air one. So delicates use low temp lor. But longer time. 100% cotton use dryer ok. Some polyester better not so long or high heat. Also, I no time to put clothes outside mah, dun wan the smell, so dryer is best option. Agree..
  15. EW need to pay lah. So far i think HN's EW is the best liao. Coz they warrant the same as manufacturer. If they cant repair will replace. Typically, neighbourhood store all 1 yr warranty mah. Unless u buy those they advert on papers got free 5 yrs. Those i think difficult to cut. Coz they may be clearing stock and price already include the warranty. No freebie lae. Coz i sit there very long to cut their price. Only manage to get stacking kit free. Which i think u will get anyway if u buy washer and dryer.
  16. Goh Ah Bee. Nearest recommended neighbourhood store. Hehe. Yah, i believe they are quite established brands. Got others, but those are more ex, so ppl usually dun consider them. Best, Gain, HN, Courts all can bargain. Its how u do it and if u meet the correct sales person. I once walked into HN at funan. Was offering to take down the price of Sony LCD if I was interested. On top of the standard store offer. I was jus shopping at that time, so didnt really poke how much better deal they can give.
  17. Higher rpm will spin dry your clothes dryer lor. But if u wash delicates also cant spin. Typically ladies clothes need handwash function. Shirts also cant spin dry so high lah. End up all clothes will spoil faster. Think only denim type material can withstand. So didnt bother to get higher rpm machines. Besides they cost more.
  18. Er... Dunno, I used HL as benchmark before I bargain. And extended warranty is on top of the price they quoted lah. Dun think got catch. I bought my fridge, Tv from them also. Thats y maybe can bargain abit more.
  19. Brandt i guess only recently started manufacturing in Asia or lower cost countries. Before this cant imagine Brandt's price matching Bosch or Lux. This is prob the reason y ppl go for the 2 main brands traditionally. If u usually wash odd sized load Brandt should be gd. Go shop around, compare the functions. Coz u are the one using, some brands might have the function u die die must have. I dun buy from neighbourhood shops coz i tend to go for extended warranty for major appliances. Happy hunting. Go GAB to ask for price and use this price to bargain wif Best.
  20. I got the cheapo 600rpm model lor. I dun really know the exact price coz i bought. Should be around lah. Total price was about 1.45k for 7kg washer and 6kg dryer. Since I got a few more items. Got the extra 4 yrs and 2 yrs warranty from HN for the washer and dryer, but the price before adding warranty I remember was quite comparable to Hong Liang.
  21. Brandt is supposed to be better, coz it has this function which allows u to wash from 1-5 kg depending on load. ie, if it sense the load is only 2kg, water used and time taken will be adjusted accordingly. Other brands typically only do half load, so not so efficient. According to my research lah. But, it is not cheap. In the end I got Bosch. Coz the price I got is 7kg. Price should be about $800. But I added additional 4 yrs warranty from HN. Hope it function well. Typically, front load continental washers ppl go for Bosch, Electrolux.
  22. I heard about it. But mostly from competitors trying to discredit the brand. Main reason for getting the lock is coz it is convenient. I am sure for any lock, as long as u have the right equipment, any lock we use on the gate can be broken. Jus my view.. It is more worth if u get the set. Think got 2 locks for the price of 1 ($148), advert on their website. ie. the Art 338 plus another that fits in the original HDB gate hole. Uses the same key, very convenient. Yah.. I saw Mint's post. Maybe i should prepare to bring scrapper to scrape away the thick thick paint.
  23. Haha.. Okok.. Sorry, I examined the lock. Took the lock apart but haven gone to my new place to fit yet.. Coz I currently work and stay in the West..... Can only go during wkends. Hee.
  24. Yah.. Aiming for something with this price range. Will see more during the wkends for some other models and compare. Does anyone knows if Pana or Sharp is more energy efficient? Thanks..
  25. Oh. No wonder! I missed the part that says must pull apart D and E!! They didnt include the manual. And I did not check before I bring the lock to my place. I must go examine the lock tonight. Thanks! If got prob will activate you Mr Ahnah..
