I am also not doing any feature wall and have this problem. Some ways I can think of is to block with speakers, photo frames or mayb some nice potted plants/flowers. As for drilling holes, won't work for me cos behind the wall is the corridor.

Not really sure if it is expensive but our ID charges us one lump sum for our electrical wiring and lighting installation. Besides retaining some of the original HDB switches and power points, we shifted and added quite a number of switches and power pts, and they are all concealed (shhhh...). We also changed all the "MK" switches and sockets. All in all, happy with the electrical work and the hassle of co-ordination. Agree that this traffic light is a bit "camouflage". Especially since the road is straight, it is always tempting for people to speed and not knowing there is a traffice light crossing.

Not the interest rate in the CPF OA and SA account but the accrued interest ie. interest your cpf would have earned if it was not used to purchase HDB flat.

Any neighbours know how CPF compute accrued interest? Wanted to ask cos was just checking the CPF website and realised the accrued interest seems to be accumulating quite fast. Our first deduction (10%) was in Feb 07 and the rest was deducted when we collected our keys in Jun 07. So does CPF start calculating accrued interest from the day of the 1st deduction? What is the interest rate? 2.5%? Can't seems to find the info on CPF website or anybody can point me to the link. Tks.

I was there just now also. Btw, there is a "bai shi" at the pavilion. Seems like since the opening of Koufu and Sheng Shiong, there is lesser crowd at the old hawker centre area. Hopefully they dun close down the hawker centre and the shops there. Mayb time the area gets an upgrade.

Mark it out on your own? I tot your contractor supposed to coordinate all these for you? I am not so sure cos if you mark it out on your own, there is a risk that you floor may end up uneven as the base for each rooms may not be at the same level to begin with. Anyway, our screeding was done by ID so his tilers know the final floor level for the whole house.
