  1. Perhaps it is the garment steamer. The result was not really as good as we thought. In the end, we bought an iron and ironing board, still the best.
  2. I like this model from Massimmo, although it is not really a Chesterfield. http://www.massimmo.com/sofa.php?id=49
  3. We bought a few items from both Air and Massimo, no regrets on the quality of both companies. Delivery for both was on time and no fuss. We had some problems with Massimo on the sofa when it was first delivered. Called them up and they took it back without question. They even offered to send a temporary sofa if we need one. The sofa was re-delivered few days later but there was still some problems with the legs. Called them up again and the owner said he will come down personally to take a look. The owner came down the next day, took a look and immediately got his workers to rectify the problem. All this while, their staff was very patient and professional, never once tried to push away the blame but took time to understand and working to rectify the problem. If we were to reno or get a new place again, we would want to go back to them. Actually, we do missed those days when we were shopping for stuff for our house and talking to our ID
  4. How about this sunday? Say 3pm? Will not be washing mine thou, just cleaning up the inerior.
  5. Hi, is it $18 or $10? The link to the website says $18.
  6. Aiyo, how can i not see our "Chairman" mayb bcos i always deep in thoughts recently, busy with work. After office hours also ok for me, just sms me.
  7. Kind of like the idea but will this inconvenient the old folks going to the senior citizens' corner at the rooftop garden?
  8. Don't like that say leh, very pai seh since I volunteered but have not done much. Ok, so when should we revive this?
  9. Saw 2 girls from Queensway Sec lying down near the lift (from Koufu) on Deck 4 of MSCP this morning. Yes, lying down side by side. Rushing off to work so did not exactly see what they were doing.
  10. A friend of mine also sold off his flat in Punggol within 3 years, fully paid-off.
  11. I have seen how the cleaners do their jobs and i do not envy them. They are a pretty diligent bunch, especially this old uncle who I always see at the MSCP. The cleaners have done their part, we as residents should do ours.
  12. Thought renotalk and facebook is good enough for sharing and discussion. Even with Renotalk, participation in the Tanglin Halt thread is also not as active as before, not sure what will be the response for our own website. But then again, if really going ahead to create one, I will support it.
  13. Just the reply I need, our silicon also need to clean liao, tks!
  14. The lightning and thunder were pretty scary yesterday. I was sleeping at home and was jolted from my sleep. The thunder seems like just outside my window.
  15. 1. Kind of regret getting my clear glass top study table, can easily see smudges and dust. 2. Regret getting the stainless steel bathroom accessories from Poh Joo (not to say that their ss products are lousy), rust set in within 3 mths. Given another chance, will buy Welmi brand. 3. Regret not getting the 1.6m dining table. My ID advised 1.5m but after looking at the space, 1.6m can fit in nicely also. Somemore, 1.5 m cost the same as 1.6m.
  16. We considered Peony Jade also but bcos of the limited tables (was told max is 25, optimum 22), it was not possible. But agreed with the rest that their food is good.
  17. Can meh? Won't the elect and water be turned off for the upgrading works? Can, if got people go, will join in also. Finally get to see the photo, I got no Facebook. Paiseh, cannot remember all the names and faces. The news article appeared in the evening chinese papers on Friday. The deceased is an old man.
  18. How you know? You measure? Wind changes direction all-year round. The climate in Singapore is predominantly affected by the monsoons. Northeast monsoon (wet) from Dec to Mar, and Southwest Monsoon (dry) from Jun to Sep. Therefore if the hotspots start appearing in Sumatra, be prepare for haze during the SW Monsoon period. In between the monsoon period, the winds are light and variable.
  19. Read that the old Hawker Centre (blk 1, 2 & 3) will be closed for upgrading from 1 Mar.
