  1. Ya, admit that asthetically, the R81 looks very impressive. But the retail price of the 40" is more ex than Sharp 42" PX5. Is it worth paying more since it is not Full-HD (one more additional HDMI input) like the Sharp PX5. hiaz, Liverpool lost
  2. Stile having up to 80% discount until 30 June. Massimmo giving 15% Discount for all Sofas and Rugs, and a 20% Discount for Caffeine Bed Frames from 25 May to 22 Jul.
  3. Yes, AIR have a showroom at Park Mall. They have a bigger showroom at Changi. You can refer to here.
  4. You can check out here I think Sharp PX series pretty nice. I also an asthetic person. Maybe too many people buying Samsung that is why not getting. Or maybe Samsung is the sponsor for Chelsea (nemesis of Liverpool), don't want to watch Liverpool on a Samsung TV !! Lucky Sharp now no more sponsor Man Utd liao (another nemesis)
  5. Class maybe but not necessary so for service. Anyway, tks all for the recommendations, will check them out.
  6. Find that on average, hotel price per table is about $3-400 higher than restaurant and their food is not necessary better. Furthermore, most popular hotels are located in busy shopping areas which make parking for your guest a nightmare. This means that it is almost impossible to start the dinner on time. Besides the "free" hotel stay, what are the benefits of holding in hotel over restaurant? We think that good food is important and find that Peony Jade at Clark Quay is pretty cosy. Anybody held their Big Day there? Furthermore, there is also a complimentary stay at either Merchant Court or Conrad thrown in. Any other restaurant recommendations?
  7. I think it is call urinal. Is there a need at home?
  8. Our favourite place at the moment, AIR. Lifestorey also very nice.
  9. Hahaha, no lah, we cut down on our reno cost and saved up for the past years to buy.
  10. Very "deep" leh, still go to do cost-benefit anlysis before having children. When my brother and sister decided to have children, the think that was going through their mind was the financial planning within the short term to median term. Don't think most people would plan for 50-60 years down the road and whether the benefits out weigh the cost, or think about whether they would support you. It your baby and your kids you are talking about. Isn't it is supposed to be your 爱情结晶?
  11. Don't have means you are doing well.
  12. It's the opposite for me, my FW work late very often. I always try to plan all my work to be done for the day and finish them on time, leave office on time. Work can never be finished. It helps that my boss believes in work and family balance. But I do work on weekends sometimes.
  13. Hi, Air, like the overall feel of your house, the colour combi looks good and the various places are well defined without building articial boundaries. Love your "catwalk". Are you placing your sofa on top of your it? How much did you spend to wallpaper the MBR? How big is that wall? Your passage way and household shelter door also wallpapered? Like the look. Ya, doing feature wall with door leading to another door a bit cumblesome.
  14. Looks like you already done all your homework. I am a layman when it comes to this type of HTS thing. Just give me a reasonable size TV to watch my EPL and sports programme and I will be happy liao. Hmm... watching EPL on 100" screen would also be nice, like in pub. Btw, your choice of HTS very nice, asthetically.
  15. Aiya, never mind lah, We all got our letters liao, which means we will get our keys soon, which means the fences will come down soon .... although I also very kan cheong.
  16. Hi snowiee, Yup, its the one at Park Mall but bought mine at their Changi showroom. Prefer there as it is a much bigger place, more variety and can see the other brands under Air Division (although there is a PLANK showroom at level 2 of Park Mall). So far the only furnitures I bought from them are 4 pieces of dining chair. They are showroom piece and also they are discontinuing with the designs, so got it cheap. Will probably be going down soon to place my order for the bed. Dining Table and maybe sofa will come later. So far my experience with their service at their showroom have been positive. Their sales staff are friendly and are eager to engage u, giving you suggestions, ideas and matching of furnitures. No, I did not engaged their ID for reno ideas. In fact did not realised this until you mentioned it. But then again, do not think will engaged cos may end up buying all AIR stuff (though we like them all but some are pretty ex), big hole in pocket.
  17. Oops, just realised cannot shift cooking area to service balcony. HDB Reno Guidelines
  18. Not sure is it got to do with platform but as per HDB Reno Guidelines, the height of the balcony parapet from finished floor level must be at least 900mm.
  19. Have been using ceiling fan (those without lights type) at my current place for the past 7.5 years and do not have this problem. Maybe its because of our parquet flooring that does not reflect lights as compared to those shiny homogenous tiles that are more relfective, thus causing the shadow effect that some are experiencing.
  20. Where is this furniture shop? Any website?
  21. Wow, 3-3.5m to watch 100" screen! Won't it feel like sitting in the front row watching movies in the cinema?
  22. If u really want an island in your kitchen, then you may just have to construct the island in the centre of your kitchen and forgo the traditional cabinet along the length of the kitchen walls, else there will very little space to walk. Make the island the focal pt of your kitchen and install cabinets above the island. Can also consider shifting the cooking area to the service balcony. As for lack of storage space, can make use of your pantry store. Build some storage shelves to store pots, pants and kitchen appliances which you think your are not going to use often. Btw, where is your place? There is a lot of odd corners. May have to do a lot of customisation to fit the odd corners.
