  1. We got it from Light Source in Balestier for $305. Got it from Cottage Craft at Samford House. PM you the price.
  2. Our Cosy and Simple MBR Our Adjoining Study and Wardrobe
  3. Serious? I tot all debris are all dump together in the same bin. Dun know there is such an "environmental conscious" ID/contractor. I may be wrong.
  4. My false ceiling was quoted as "to supply and install false ceiling at XXX". Painting should be done by the painters. This was how it looked when almost completed.
  5. Was on MC 2 fridays ago and saw a big group of students with a young teacher (think she is the teacher) at the "massage pebbles", they were quite noisy and i tot what happened. Not against neighbourhood schools from coming into our neighbourhood but they should be mindful that there are residents resting in the daytime also, and hopefully they do clear up before the leave. Regarding the delay in the closing of the lift doors, I think it is a safety feature, not forgetting that there are studio apts in our blocks. I do see them doing maintenance on the lift and the sand contractors certainly does not help things when they move sand up to the the renovating units and the sand gets in btw the gaps of the lift and onto the lift mechanism. The cleaning standard can definitely be improved but the residents should also play a part. Many a times, I see items being left at the common refuse bin area. I think it is not too much effort to bring it downstairs. Pardon me from saying this but Blk 89 seems to be in pretty bad shape. My mum visted us last weekend and ask why Blk 89 seems more dirty. The rooftop garden is also subjected to a lot of vandalism. One door from the MSCP to the garden is already damaged. Will take some pics and send to TC. Anyway, we should continue to feedback to TC to really keep them on their toes.
  6. Can see scratch lines easily. For the price, will be very heart pain.
  7. Tks, got it at 50% discount, if not might not have bought it also. Tks, we don't cook often thats why decided to go ahead with the open concept as the original layout makes the whole house feel very small. Come to think of it, have not cook at all since moving in, except instant noodles. Yup, that is a dishrack, with a aluminum shutter door. (cannot really see from the pic)
  8. We bought it last year from the Changi Showroom before the gst increment, plus another 10% discount. From my understanding, Air has revised their prices upwards and plus the gst increment, I think may be difficult to get the same price again. Anyway, the changi showroom has now become sort of a warehouse, selling discontinued design, display set or clearane set. May be able to get some good bargain sometimes. Our dining chairs are also from Air, it was a discontinued design and we got it at a good price.
  9. Our journey to Tanglin Halt started one evening in 2006 when I “chin chai” asked my girlfriend whether want to spend $10 and apply for the flat (yes, typical of most Singaporean man but that was not my proposal, I did proposed to her when we got our flat ). Come to think of it, that evening also happened to be the last day for the balloting application, and lo and behold, we were not only successful with our application but also got quite a good queue number . This neighbourhood is not new to me. I spent my childhood days growing up here (at Tanglin Halt 16th storey), studied at New Town Primary School and mixed around with “the gangsters”, who btw were pretty notorious and plenty during those days. So, moving back here again was kind of nostalgic. Just the other day, I brought my wife-to-be to the 16th storey neighbourhood, showed her where I used to hang out. We have completed our reno and moved in since Jan this year. Some pictures to share of our humble abode. Floor Plan Living Room
  10. Electrician install toilet spray? !! Better get a plumber. If ur reno is done by ID/Contractor, there should be an item to install toilet accessories, get them to install also.
  11. This is our marble dining table from Air, 80cm x 150cm, abt $2.2k. 160cm also cost the same but we cut ours to 150cm due to space constraints.
  12. Angie at the Great World City branch is great, we bought our stuff from her. Unfortunately, Mayer after sales support cannot match up.
  13. Kids like to play with the water and ice dispenser.
  14. Wow, this is a good idea. Went to aztech website and found this diagram. Assuming I want to buy the homeplug adaptor for use in my living rm to connect to my tv, do i need to buy the aztech router also (so that the router can "talk" to the adaptor)? Does the adaptor work with other router also? Currently using linksys router.
  15. $480K is definitely too high for me. Do consider Serangoon area (not serangoon north), near to Bishan, TPY and AMK (do check the 2km radius, maybe you can still qualify for the $40k grant). Valuation is lower as compared to above 3 areas, yet within close proximity of them. With the circle line and possible new shopping centre coming up near the current serangoon interchange, this is an estate worth considering. Btw, me no property agent , just that stayed in this estate for abt 8 years and moved out recently. Nice environment.
  16. Haha, "sell hi-fi" until SGH carpark .
  17. If there is really such a belief, are you gog to follow it? Following chinese tradition/belief is one thing, but to have them getting in the way of true happiness?
  18. Tks for the invitation, will let u know again. Really ah, me too amateurish for this type of photography thing. Anyway, like the "doggy pee" diy decor in your bathroom, cute!
  19. Planning to buy either playstation or wii. Which one is better? Asked around and was told Playstation offers better picture but wii controllers are cooler. With Sony winning the battle with the blue-ray HD format, is it better to go for Playstation?
