Using balls as projectiles to hurl at opposing team with the aim of hitting them and knocking them out of the game. Used to play when we were in primary school, using tennis ball/baseball. Ok, my bad. But sometime, ignorance is bliss. -

For those staying at Blk 91, recently there is this group of Indian youngsters playing at the void deck lift landing of our blk, and they seems to be playing "hamtam bola". Saw them in action a few times, stared back at them and they knowingly stopped playing. Not sure if they are the same group playing "Risk" at Blk 91 but playing "hamtam bola" at the lift landing sure is dangerous. I have sent an email to the TC to feedback on this. Somebody jumped, somebody died, I dun think it really matters which floor they took off. -
Wife likes such furnitures but I think this would be the only piece in the house, really pricey . Anyway, we bought it bcos we thought it would stand out in the room.

Song - Cho(wel Mi) Product At Universal Union Enterprises - Geyland
TYM replied to cjb's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
Song-Cho is the name of the company. Welmi is just one of the brand they carry. Not surprising if other co carry Welmi products. Saw Welmi products at some neighbourhood hardware stores also. We bought our Welmi products from Song-Cho showroom at IMM and AMK. Song Cho main office at Jalan Pemimpin. http://www.songcho.com/default.asp -
4.5cm? Such a big gap? Even 3cm gap also very big. I think most gaps are less than 1 cm. 4.5cm? Mayb have to use magnets or hooks liao. But 4.5cm gap is still very amazing.

We are also happy residents of Blk 91. Main complaint so far is the littering problem around the estate . -
Agree. So far we never make any special request. Mayb can request them not to give us bittergourd. Cos when they cook bittergourd, both wifey and me dun eat, a bit wasted.

How was the briefing yes'd? -
Feel that the quality and finishing is better than Alumix/Ximula and price wise cheaper than Cupboards (that was in mid-2007). If you go down to their showroom in Balestier Rd, the Closet Design staff will also demonstrate the quality of their products by burning their wooden planks and kicking the wardrobe doors (pretty hard). Marketing gimmicks mayb but pretty convincing. Installation was pretty professional and so far no complains abt the wardrobe. I would say we got quite a good deal ($3000 for 11.5ft) and that was just before the GST increment in jul 07. Also Closet Design is now a GST registered co so they will be charging GST (our package was not charged GST).

Ya, we always cannot finish the food, a bit wasteful. Need to pay extra $10 for the microwave plastic containers, but worth it for the convenience. If not, got to wash the stainless steel container and hang it outside your unit, and if missing, you got to pay (stated in the T&C)

We stayed at Novotel. Nearest BTS station (or skytrain) is Siam. BTS station at Chatuchak is Mo Chit, takes abt 8-10mins from Siam Station. If u take the MRT (the stations are underground), the MRT station at Chatuchak market is Chatuchak, but there is no MRT station near Novotel. BTS/MRT Map The Red line is the MRT. The Blue line (dark and light blue) is the BTS.

Our wardrobe from Closet Design, 3-door.

Choo Chiang sells legrand, clipsal, hager and quite a few other brands also. Look around and get from Choo Chiang. We got ours from them and get ID to install, can save quite a bit. Was told by Choo Chiang stuff a lot of contractors get from them also.

Ya, they got some very nice vases and a lot of other interesting stuff, but quite pricey . Really like their CD racks also (the human series one), will be going back to get one. We got this bar stool from XZQT (orange colour), but must wait until end May for the stocks to come.
