Marble and granite are very heavy, if you diy yourself and did not do it properly, it may come crashing down. Suggest to leave the diy to the professional or buy off the shelf.

Hi KM, tks for the reply. Actually, we have a built-in ariston microwave oven and my thinking is to replace that with a built-in oven. Mistake in not getting a built-in oven from the start. Have checked with our previous ID and Mayer that just need minor alteration to the current microwave space to fit the oven. So i guess Ariston is a better choice than the Rowenta countertop oven.
-
Is rowenta oven good? Wife wanted one but I thought it is very bulky and would eat up countertop space. My preference is one of the ariston built-in oven (purely aesthetic reason) but she insist on rowenta. OK lah, I will not be using, just want to know which is better.

Err... fortune telling or fengshui? I am not a believer in either.

Maybe I am biased, but I prefer Jap electrical appliances, though we have previously owned a LG fridge and it lasted for 10 years without problem.

If nothing overlooking into your living room, probably not necsary. For bedrooms, some may prefer to sleep in total darkness, so may be necessary if you sleep during daytime.

Is the current climate really that rosy? Maybe for some but I think for the majority, pay scale have not change much. Earn 5K, buy 4-500k HDB flat. Earn 10K, buy 1mil condo. Can retire by 50? Children education? Car (and more new car), travel, spa, etc... can afford when retire? willing to give up?

A friend managed to appeal to sell his Punggol unit before MOP to buy private few years ago. Maybe his appeal was successful bcos his unit was fully paid and he is buying private, and market was not as hot and crazy as now. No harm trying.

This was one of my shortlist but wife dun like.

Actually there will be some awkwardness, may not have much to talk even if you try to inject some topics. Depends on the personality of the parents, some may not like to talk at all or not comfortable talking as this may be the first time both sides come together. We had 3 tables after our ROM. 1 for my wife's parents and siblings, 1 for my family and siblings and 1 for friends.

I love Golden Retrievers, their affection can really grow on you. My frens have them and one of them moved to a condo specially to keep her Golden Retriever. Labradors are also very affectionate. -

The owner may not have leashed the dog but there is no necessity to "kick fly" the dog, especially if u mentioned it is a small dog, that is cruel. Just carry your daughter out of the dog's way. Most small dogs just wanna play. When our dog was still around, we were already teaching our nephews (1 and 2 years old) to love and play with the dog. We should not be introducing fear into children by saying dog will bite if your are naughty. -

And what happen to the other dog? If I am the owner, I will be very sad to part with them. -

Agreed. Used to have a Spitz and Shetland, both passed away. Now thinking of adopting one. -
Correct me if I am wrong but memory foam does not remember your "butt shape". It provides better support for the weight which compresses it, and decompresses to its original shape once the weight is removed. I am also contemplating getting a tempur pillow.

This is not revolutionary, it has been around for some time. Many moons back, the products were sold thru MLM. I bought a bed spread, pillow and bracelet back then from a friend, ex man. Is it effective? Personally, unable to see any benefits.

When And How To Engage Id?
TYM replied to rawmeat's topic in Renovation Contractors, Interior Designers & Suppliers Reviews
Assume your reno budget of $50k excludes furnishing and appliances, then maybe you should tell your ID your budget is btw 40-45K, cos along the way sure got something to add here and there. My budget was 25k, told ID only 20k and final bill came up to slightly over 25k.
