was discussing with my ID on the various options... he was against the roller blinds and curtains.. for practical reasons. think cos my toilet door's wall is besides the window and it will be kinda ugly and not practical... exact reasons, i also not sure... will ask again.. but i am now trying to jio jio him to do cheap cheap for me using his proposed feature wall design.. hee...

2708soul i feel so sad reading all your posts... i guess it really takes lot of courage to do wat your heart wants to do.. you really need to think very carefully before you take the plunge.. if you know you will regret your decison, then take a step backward and review your decision. I'm glad you let it out as keeping everything inside will be very miserable... view it in another way.. you still can review your decision... why did you meet B again? Fate? maybe its God giving you a second chance? guess wat we can do here is to share with you our experiences and thots... ultimately, you have to make the decision... Ganbatte ne....

Hi ilys, as for me, i dun have any exact theme in mind.. but i do have some design ideas which were formulated along the way... from magazines, fren's flats etc... dun worry abt changing the concept.... i think no one can beat me and my sister's fickemindedness yet... kanna scolded many times.. as for the lightings.. for info, he worked as an electrician previously so he is very experienced with lightings.. you can pop any ideas and he can tell you whether it works or not straight away... today just finished my wall and floor tiles selection.. as expected (from him), we found our tiles from EI's showroom instead from the factory... cos we have insisted to go see see look look at the tiles factory display.. but then, all not within our quoted price range.. sianz.. so in the end, after one factory, we gave up and proceeded to his showroom to select the ready-selected tiles... kanna suaned from our 'additional works'

hihi... ya, getting excited over the reno.. mine is starting coming monday... expected completion date is beginning of jul. told him i got to travel end jul so he must complete by beginning jul.. my home is in the east... ilys, no worries.. you can cut anything you wan.. actually for me, i gave him a budget.. but in the end, we actually exceeded the budget.. kanna scolding somemore.. actually, most importantly is whether you feel comfortable with him and of course whether you like his designs... the budget can be discussed.. i keep bargaining with him but at the same time adding designs... think he nearly wanna strangle me.. hee.. ya uniqlo...

hi teddy... you are referring to the one at Marina Sq rite? i have shortlisted them too but dropped them cos my sister preferred another ID's design ideas... overall, i have good impressions of them... look for Jackie.. he is quite accommodating and nice... not pushy and willing to share ideas with you...

i have checked with my BO officer... only helping me to remove the old cabinets and wardrobes... no replastering... though they offered the re-wiring, my ID said no point cos they will run the wiring as and where they want... may cause more problems for reno... hacking is also no-no...

hihi... the idea of the feature wall is good.. but costly.. haiz... i cannot extend the wall out any further to have cabinets/wardrobe due to space constraints...

hi... as the title indicated, anyone has any creative ideas to hide/beautify the MBR toilet wall with the door to the toilet? one way of doing is to do up a box-up feature wall.. sth like feature wall for bomb shelter... but then, it will cost a bomb... i have thot of using wallpaper.. but then, long term wise... the wall paper will peel as the toilet is prone to dampness... anyone has any other ideas???

actually, i am also reconsidering Simmons.. cos i recalled the heavenly feeling i had when i stayed at Langham place hotel in HK earlier this year... i went to research and found out that they are also using Simmons... can i check where did you buy your Simmons mattress and how much is that? Simmons Glendale also posh comfy type? thanks!

asp_23, why not you get the direct no for specific ID instead? benedict is quite popular... i met him once at EI's woodlands's office... heard that he is very very busy though... if you just wanna seek a quotation, i can recommend my ID to you... he is quite obliging...

Hi all, I have been reading this thread for sometime and think its time for me to make my 2cents worth... i have yet to sign with EI but have been in serious discussions with Frankie from EI for the past 2 weeks... uniqlo.. we will have the same ID. I got to give to Frankie cos he is really patient and tolerant to our requests and demands.. haha.. I am not a nasty customer but then i am quite a perfectionist and cost-cautious person. A very meticulous guy.. the first impression i had when i first met him was he really checked the feasibility and practicality of the designs we wants... his ruler and pencil plus the floor plan is owae on the table when we meet up for discussion... He was able to meet my demands at the most reasonable cost, not lowest cost, something i owae suan him.. of course just a jest.. EI has not been known for the lowest cost but quality at reasonable cost... To me, though costs is very important, i think the other impt factors to consider are the quality of workmanship, rapport, communication and design ideas of the ID. Though we have not sign the dotted line, he has already accompanied us to funiture shopping and offered lots of ideas to our reno plans.. We are already into the 8th quotation... due to our indecisiveness and itchy fingers.. the moment we see his past works or any new interesting designs, we start probing... owae kanna suaned for our itchy fingers... but i really salute him cos when i chatted with him over phone and requesting for designs, he could provide me with not one but at least 3-4 different space planning designs... kudos!! just wanna show our appreciation to his dedication and hardwork here.. thanks, frankie!! we will sign with you... but of course... price.. price...

hihi silverx2c can i know how long have you been using sealy luxembourg? did you find it sagging? Serta salesman was saying that as the comfort came from the layers of foams, the foams will sag after sometime.. is it true?
