first delivery supposed to be 07jul.. 2nd delivery date on 14jul.. delivered date was 17jul.. think for your case, have you check whether they have placed the order and check on the shipment arrival date?

updates.... my dining set and coffee table were finally delivered last nite... after 2 missed delivery dates!!!! i din update after the 1st missed delivery date.. to keep the story short, they called me on the morning of the 2nd delivery date and told me that the shipment will only came in around 4-5m that day.. unable to deliver.. so requested for rescheduling.. think they are numbed to all scoldings cos the person just calmly asked me to reschedule even though i questioned angrily why they cant fulfil their promise.. haiz... rescheduled to yesterday evening, around 7pm.. but the delivery guys started calling me since monday and asked whether got people at home.. they wanna deliver... i just told them no.. when we reached around 645pm yesterday to my new place, the workers oredi outside my flat, assembling my dining chairs... inspection were done very thoroughly... okie, no much defects... except for some sewing defects on one of the dining chairs' cover... deliveryman said will come and change the cover for me... hearing so much abt them, i told him i am not paying in full.. think he also know... so he offered to get balance less $50... in case he dun come to exchange, i save $50.. that sewing defect, i can alter myself if need be will post the photos of my dining set and coffee table later...

i also read that story more than once... personally i feel that watever decision you make, dun blame others or envt.. how you wanna live, its your choice.. yes.. BY CHOICE.. dun give excuses that you have no choice but to do this, do that... 人在江湖身不由己 do exists.. but not because you have no choice.. 'no choice' exist probably in third world countries.. but in Singapore?? think we are affected/ bothered with the society's judgement.. our frens and family's views... wat's supposedly to be 'right' and 'wrong'... and to be morally correct or adhere to society acceptable stds, we chose that route that may or may not be wat we want... my 2cents worth..

before you decide wat to learn... maybe you wanna ask yourself exactly wat you intend to do.. your interest... dun study halfway, then discover you are in the wrong course... many took ACCA and halfway dropped out cos too tiring.. to stressful... not their cup of tea.. if you are interested in that field, it will be much easier to persevere till the end...

wah... they treated you good leh... they quoted me extra $300 after they came down for exact measurements... only after some serious bargaining, then got better prices.. and they asked for full pmt... haiz.. guess cos they need to record the pricing as per before GST increase bah...

I am a CPA now and i majored in Financial Analysis in uni... many of my classmates took CFA which seems to be the next level upz from my degree.. which i resisted... cos i cant bear to stare at derivatives, futures, options, stocks etc again... what's the difference? CPA is actually as what another forumer said.. certified public accountant... basically, to become a CPA, you need to have an accountancy degree.. this means studying accounting.. consol accounting, tax, audit, business law, contract law etc... your cup of tea?? CFA is certified financial analyst.. its generally on analysis on stocks, derivatives, futures, options.. if you are really keen in working in stock exchange or related fields, this will be for you... to be honest, actually, there are some overlapping.. cos you need to know some basics in accts.. like financial ratios analysis in analysing companies' financial statements... from wat you wrote, i think both fits the bill... broadly, i mean... but exactly, what will you like to do?

Air, so you have not pay off the last 10%? how long have you stay in the renovated flat oredi? raincole, the kitchen cabinets could be done up in a week... no problem.. that's wat my ID told me.. he said the issue is the solid surface... he himself is worried over the solid surface... the rest, he said should be ok...

hihi i just encountered this problem too! actually dun think can blame my ID.. he was as shocked as me when i told him my carpentry not upz yesterday.. supposed to be upz... he called carpenter.. found out carpenter kanna accident.. my carpentry can only be up next week... now i am frantically trying to change all my delivery dates, get new moving dates etc... headache.... but when i told my housemover, he said this is common excuse used.. he said he heard many times when they cant handover... anyone experienced such instances???

i tell you... i ordered in april.. and when i asked them in may whether they ordered oredi.. they say no... not their practice to order to early cos they scare customers change their mind... so your order may or may not be ordered loh... haiz... i can just hope that they wun delay again...

Air, i suspect your salesman same guy as mine... is his name kenny??? think you better call now and ask whether they ordered oredi or not?? precisely... they should call and inform if they know that shipment will be delayed.. not for the customer to call and check, then they say.... if i din call, i will be waiting foolishly for the items on sat... thumbdrive, there is no use complaining to CASE.... if they are scared, the horror stories would have stopped long time ago... haiz...

actually, i can tolerate late delivery if reasons are valid.. but Red Apple has too much bad comments.. so i am not going to be nice to them... have to be stern and firm loh.. or else, will kanna... also, they must have the courtesy to call and let me know if they are going to be late rite?? ... he din bother to call me at all... after reading so much negative feedbacks, i called them last week to start asking abt my delivery on this coming sat.. that salesman said dunno yet.. ask me to call this week... i called yesterday, he said he is busy, going out.. can call back later in the afternoon... when i called back again, he said give me 10 mins to check.. will call me back... and the result is as expected... late... now i am worried whether will my furniture be as wat i ordered... haiz....

was fuming when i called today to check on my delivery.. as expected.. the shipment was late... **** dumb.. said wat they only ordered in june when i ordered in apr loh... reason given was that in case customers wanna change order... the salesman asked me for a week's grace.. i told them that if they dun deliver on the date promised now, i wanna cancel my order! he said okie wor... wat ya think???

Hi Air, i also just placed my order at Art Living... she really got lots of business... did day and night curtains for living and dining.. night curtains for one bedroom and 4 roman blind sets for MBR and another bedroom... all for $1750, GST inclusive.. is that a good deal??? tientien, the material was quite good... she boosted japan materials if you are making roman blinds... entirely made in japan, she said.. and it comes with 5 years warranty..

Hi all, i just got my Fisher & Paykel fridge from HN Millenia Walk.. it was quite a good deal and the salesman gave me a 10% disc from the list price... cheaper than then neighbourhood shops too... can go and take a look..

for info, those made in japan have plastic shelvings... japanese dun like tempered glass shelving.. and it seems that its also cos of safety reasons... so if you are getting made in japan fridges, they will all have plastic shelvings... Sweetson never close down leh...
