Finally decided to start a T-blog after so long ! Hehe ! FH and me bought a house at Telok Blangah during the Feb 07 WIS. It's a 5room flat (119sqm) and we love it to bits ! Chosen an ID and now justttttt started the electrical works. Wish me luck ! thanks cha_alex.. i have decided to go with FH's original plan. looks weird on floor plan to me but after seeing our place again, it's nt so bad afterall yah.. ID says that she will do a curtain pelmet for us at the balcony door... hmmm... hope it's free.. hehe !

me and FH loves the nice open windows that we saw at expo too.. yah it's expensive ah. we were quoted abt 2k for our balcony. plus also we wanted to do powder coating of a brown colour to match the HDB windows. hopefully got more budget after the wedding then will do it at a lter time.

hmm... upping this topic as I have some queries. so it seems that the $2.50 psf is the most common rite ? i'm quoted this as well but i thot that i would nt get nice tiles I'm also thinking of having slate tiles for my bathroom. is this considerably more expensive ?

hehe ! glad to see i'm nt the only one. for me, i keep telling FH (and myself) that it's our home and I just want to see it nice. No point later on I complain about it. hi chucky monkey (do u like ben and jerry's ? hehe !) i've engaged closet design to do up the master bedroom wardrobe. michael tan was the guy who served us. at first i thot that he was rather distant but after talking to him a while, quite a nice guy. he did up lots of idea for the internal specifications for us and did not push us to take him at all. my FH initially wanted the aluminium type of wardrobe as he feels that it will look much neater. however, after talking to michael and reviewing our needs, we decided to go for the normal "wood" type ones. reason being is that for those type, it's easier to keep the folded clothes, which i have more of. hope the info helps !

hi devilaz. my concern is that if having false ceiling at foyer and l-box **** room will make the room look smaller. plus, since i'm having a ceiling fan as well, the ceiling might look messy. thanks lawry ! glad to know i'm nt the only one who keep changing ideas ! hee ! the electrician take note of all the lighting points liao but haven start anything yet .. anyone else fickle minded as well ? hehe !

Hi all, would like to ask your opinion on how often u change ur mind on a design ? maybe u change theme halfway or chage of colours ? i've changed my mind quite a few times and it's driving FH nuts ! my electrical works are to begin tomorrow but i'm having concerns on the false celing and l-box at my ceiling. it's decided that there will be false ceiling at foyer area and L-box **** room area. But I prefer having all L-box all around so as to give a more spacious look. Plus, me having ceiling fan also. me worried that if i tell FH now he's going to me cos he just wans to get the reno started and dowan anymore changes liao. But if i don't i tink i will regret it lor . please !

thanks fr ur advice sumobear. i agree with wat u said about new home owners being more critical. anyway, me and FH have pretty much decided. initally we wantd to replace the toilet tiles with window grilles. but i realise that even if we have the budget later on, we wun likely do the toilet anytime soon. !! but we will do the grilles later on when we have kids !! so we've decided on toilet tiles now and grilles later .. wheeeeeeee ! !!

Sigh.. me nw have to think about this. both FH's and my parents wan us to put up grills but we thot of putting it up after the wedding. plus also, i would like to have the nice uninhibited view for a while since we live on 24th floor. the both of us have nieces and nephews so guess our parents are concerned about that lor... should i get it now ? or later ?
