went back to my unit today guess wat so to see that my 3 rooms have been screeded !! hopefully they did in the right measurement otherwise have to hack and redo again

Well i ever read up on a particular website that the appliances should cater to the kitchen not the other way round. Guess i will have to look at Mit in terms of design not that bad.

been calling around those small electrical shops to find out the prices for the appliances i intend to get. So sad that my panasonic fridges both models are discontinued now i have to wacko for other alternatives. New models only come in June. Got to discuss with my HB tonight whether should we order our appliances first or not to beat the raise in GST. Many shopping tomorrow for my fridge and my gas hob & hood. Anyone got good recommendations for fridge?

dun really see the point of comparing with other IDs cos we are very comfortable with this current ID, very responsible and able to suggest practical ideas. Most importantly we are very satisfied with the previous job his team has done mine is at 302D. this 40k includes lots of hacking from toilets, kitchen, study room, few standard carpentries for the kitchen, 2 rooms, study room etc. i guess really have to weigh which part of the house should spend the most. Initially my HB didnt even want to hack away the kitchen tiles but i insisted and i got my way. Really cant stand the ugly workmanship & colour of the tiles they have given. Given a chance i would also want to change the windows for the whole unit and the sliding door but cant cos this budget has to be given to other areas. A lot of decision making process. The ID i am engaging is Ron from ID Emboss. His work is being featured quite often in this forum. A very responsible guy and able to contribute practical ideas. Was happy with the work his team has done for my current house. Hopefully this time round everything would also turn out well. Looking forward for his revised quotation and drawings.

finally decided to try to start a reno blog in here Location: EA@SK (130sqm) Collection of keys: 9 Feb 2007 Submission of defects list: 12 Feb 2007 DIscussion with ID: 1 April 2007 ----------------------------------------------- Going to be 2 months since i submitted my huge list of minor defects to HDB; but until now so disappointed that nothing has been done. This defect list has already excluded all the ugly tiles i am going to hack away in the common toilet, master toilet and the kitchen. Will try to post some "before" photos of my unit. Nevertheless, we still went ahead to have discussion with the ID on the things that need to be done, initial quote was close to 40K excluding lightings, furniture and appliances . Not sure if thats the norm for an EA flat. But for sure it has exceeded our reno buget of 30K, already told the ID this magic number now the ball is in his court to help us materialise the reno within this budget. Now waiting for his revised quotation before he starts to do all the perspective drawings to show us. Really excited abt the whole process afterall it is going to be our own "nature park" in months to come. looks like i not the only one having problem with the TO, called him this morning guess wat he actualli can tell me normally take 21 days for the rectifications to be done. I told him i waited for 2 months liao, sigh... then he will start to tai chi here and there. Seriously i also duno have to fierce or nice to them.

hi all good to hear that most of your rectfications have been looked into. My unit until now nothing has been done. I requested them to do screeding for my 3 rooms already, heaps of sand left in my living room. Went back last weekend, so happy to see that portion of the sand was gone thinking that they started to do the screeding for me. But to my horror nothing was done and a pile of sand was left intentionally behind my main door; duno where on earth they took that big portion of sand to. Met up with my ID on last sat; was told that the balcony floor has to be hacked cos it was already screeded hence cant lay tiles on. So made a trip to the office on Mon to request or should say try my luck to see if they can do for me FOC or not. Guess what the officer who attended to me told me that balcony is for houseowners to do parquet flooring. OMG, i tot to myself how can they decide which part of the hse would the hseowner wants to do what. I told her how can they do things a bit here and there; of cos i also told her abt the sand thing !! (might as well dun give anything). All she said was to inform my TO. That TO of mine also cant commit a date when can the rectifications be done. Now duno how long i have to wait for them to finish my rectifications; intend to start my reno sometimes in May somemore.

yap its the block where the showflat was. But me not taking the showflat; didnt really quite like the design. i called to the hdb today and told them abt my case. Also managed to get the direct no for my TO but dun seems to be able to get him. Will try again tomorrow; my contractor had asked me to submit my screeding too he mentioned that take another 3 weeks. In my heart think it will be 1 month. Sigh

my unit is @302D, never mind i will write to the office and ask for the right person who is handling my house. thanks. but does this screeding have to be done during this rectification period or that i can ask them do only when i abt to start my reno? I will ask my contractor for more details. First i must get them rectify my house ASAP.

o at yours have started to do something, mine not enough a single job done. so fed up with them, 2 weeks and another 2 weeks they say they will do it. DO you have the contact for the TO at SK office? Is this the only one person whom we can speak to? Also check with you something: must we let HDB do the cement screeding or i cant let my contractor handle it? Thanks.

happened to read into your reno blog; just some info for you. Me too bought an EA @SK and have submitted my defects list one month ago b4 CNY and as of today nothing has been rectified yet at all. sigh.......very bad of them cos already taken 3 mths conservancy charges and not doing anything.
