Homogeneous Tiles In Ceramic Tiles Packaging?
white_affair replied to babyQ's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
Hi bullet, thanks for your reply.. However still not too sure about what you meant by "The new design of homogeneous tiles are still using "Bai Gao Ni" and only printed with dark colour on the surface." I thought homogenous means the tile is same colour throughout. It may not be exactly the same pattern as the surface but should still be same colour right? If not, then why would I pay for homogenous if its going to turn out like ceramic tiles? -
Hi Fire-ice and applefreak, I can't remember how much is the tap and the wash basin cos my receipt shows only my total payment.. But I think for the wash basin, tap and the sink support, the amounts was about $260. Wash basin about $100+ and tap about $50 i think... All were from Elite Sanitary Trading at Changi Road... Really sorry, can't remember the price..

Homogeneous Tiles In Ceramic Tiles Packaging?
white_affair replied to babyQ's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
Hi, hope someone can help me... I found some of my homogenous tiles are chipped.. Like the worker dropped something n there is a small hole... But my tiles are dark brown/black colour ... and the chipped area is white... I thought that homogenous should still be the same colour when chipped? Also I checked with one of my friend who used to be an ID, he told me that for dark coloured homogenous tiles, they are only made in Italy and not in China.. But my tiles were made in China Anyone can help on this? -

Painting Kitchen Wall Instead Of Tiling
white_affair replied to purpledino's topic in Kitchen & Bathroom
Plastering will achieve the same results as your bedroom or living room.. Plain white walls.. If you want different colour for your walls, then you paint it.. The good thing is, you can paint a new colour in future to achieve a different look or feel.. If you still want to maintain tiles for your kitchen and do not want to hack, you can also have the option to do spray painting on tiles.. Its quite nice and saves cost on hacking.. There are some topics on that too, can just do a search.. -
Painting Kitchen Wall Instead Of Tiling
white_affair replied to purpledino's topic in Kitchen & Bathroom
Yup, there is also stainless steel backsplash. If you want plain plastered walls for your kitchen, you can plaster over your existing tiles without any hacking.. This is what I did too ... But of cos, must check that the tiles are not hollow, if not, they may pop in future.. For the wall behind your hob, best to have backsplash or tiles... easier to clean away oil and grime.. -
Painting Kitchen Wall Instead Of Tiling
white_affair replied to purpledino's topic in Kitchen & Bathroom
I too did not do any wall tiles for my kitchen.. I only did glass backing between my top bottom kitchen cabinets... But since I have my hob on my island and I do not have a hood, I do forsee that I have to paint my walls sooner than most people... If you want plastered walls instead of tiles, make sure its not the wall near where you are doing your cooking.. Other walls should be fine.. -

Hi Wen & Min, Congrats on your beautiful home!! When I saw your pix, actually I got a shock ... cos we have got so many same items.. My toilet doors look exactly like yours, same Ariston heater, your BRM 3 lights, and your WIW light is the same!! HAHA ... Although my WIW lights dun have the beads.. I almost got that but last minute the lighting shop told me their supplier have the ones without beads so we took that.. But it looks good either way... Good luck for your home!!

Im not sure about that.. In fact I wasn't there.. The whole process was done by my FH and his mum... My dong tu ritual also done by his mum cos we were unable to take leave..

Yar, super super excited!! So sad that I can't take leave to go see anything!! I tink the painting was done by HDB.... they hav horrible (x100) taste! so disgusting colour for sewage pipe.. Haiz, but nevermind, will paint over it and although its got so many pimples.. have to live with it.. cos changing the pipe would cost a bomb.. I got some doubts about my WIW.... Wonder if anyone can help... My ID is giving me polykem wardrobe.. its an open concept kind... so the backing is off-white colour and the shelves are black... I keep thinking that the material looks quite cheap.. gives me a feeling its PVC although when comparing the 2, polykem looks slightly better.. But the colours are so limited.. Any idea if change to laminated shelves, will it cost alot more? Anyone feel the colours dun suit a lush concept?

Very Cheap! Anyone Try Buying From Them Before?
white_affair replied to Relacker's topic in Electronics & Electricals
of course they will ask you to transfer the money before shipping the items.. If not, they will also worry that you take the goods and run.. Then they also no business. In my line, we see alot of these fraud cases... Alot in Nigeria, but also in US... Guess alot of ppl tink that because its US, its safer but its not always the case. When the offer is too good to be true, it most likely is...
