Yeah, but the view isn't that fantastic after all. And the facing for the balcony is the main road, which is a little bit more dusty, noisy and dirty. So, maybe the money for the sky roof is better spent elsewhere bah.

Day 7 I happened to be in the area that evening, so decided to pop in to check out the progress. It was getting late and I only had my crappy iPhone camera. The men are quickly putting together the Kitchen area. They have leveled the walls, ready for tiling. Yard area Kitchen The MBR tiles for the feature wall arrived. But there was some strange gluey substance between the seams. ID rejected the tiles and asked for replacement ones. MBR tiles are here! But...

Day 5 Ok, the one that broke me was this... Roof Roof So there goes my plans for sky roof! We felt that the result of building a sky roof here will not be worth it, especially when the view from here is the ugly walls. Oh well, now we will be considering the type of tiles to use for the roof awnings.

Bro Texas5, Do you know the quality of the products from Bed.sg? I have never bought anything from them, so I am sceptical. Thanks. Rocky

Apologies for the long absence due to the festivities. And so, our shopping spree started... went to Cellini (recommendation by Renotalk, ;P) We are considering this sofa for the living room: Yeah, it may be an old model, but an oldie but still a goodie. Considering the recliner on the left as well. A relatively good package, they offered $3998 for 3 items: sofa and 2 others for you to choose. It could be bed frame, dining table, recliner, coffee table, etc. Quality is great IMHO. Promotion ends this month (Feb 2013)

Wah, bro Texas5, where you get your $700 vanity mirrors?!

kooky, Thanks for the welcome. Looking forward to see your pictures! Are you engaging an ID as well? Rocky

summersann, We are getting a system 4 aircon, that's why maybe a bit more expensive. More for health reasons than anything else. Definitely these contractors will charge more when they use longer wires, and they will use these as excuses. The thing is, my toilet bowl is in an awkward orientation - it faces the wall! So we want to change that. I should take a picture and post the picture up... in for a good laugh.

potatoes, Yup, we are in the same boat. The original layout was a wash area and not a toilet. I haven't seen your t-blog but will pop in to check out your toilet later.

Spikedoll, From the looks, your toilet is much bigger than mine. The previous owner turned the bowl around so the bowl faces the wall with about 5 cm gap. lol... looked really strange, we wonder how they used it. And yeah, rewiring a maisonette is more expensive than a regular 3/4/5 room. And we are install two heater tanks (personal preferences), so costs add up.
