  1. Haha, Melvin is no where near plump! And He doesn't wear specs! He is a young fella, quite handsome looking. Er . . . Rides a bike, not sure how to describe him . . .
  2. Somewhere between $34-$38k? But it doesn't include any electrical, bathroom fittings, air-con etc. But it was a very resaonable sum, considering I redid the entire house minus the service balcony.
  3. Melvin Yick from Ideal House!
  4. Tough luck. My advise is to take the painful way, take down the TV, put in position all the possible cables you will ever use and mount it again. Better to do it once then repeatedly!
  5. I think you got a bargain! Mine was almost double your quote for the feature wall. But I think my ID Melvin gave me a good discount on it too! Just talk to him about it. You have to make sure it is carefully secured at all ends. Dun think your cables will come loose, so far it is working for me. But to change cable is going to be a nightmare. So plan ahead, put in extra cables and plan for future expansion. I've place 2 x component, 2 x Composite, 2 x HDMI and I am praying it will be enough for me!
  6. All the cables are hidden inside the panel and routed through the pivot. Completely hidden, cannot see anything at all, really cool!
  7. Hi Air, the egg shaped seats are actually quite heavy and solid. Its more like a soft stool. Think it was around $60+ each. Cannot really remember Think was around $200+
  8. Hi, the model is 15WHPA, the fan itself cost around $120. Yes it needs a dedicated powersupply so you will have to get your electrician to run a powerpoint in to get it to work.
  9. Now let's look at some of the lights. Never knew that 1 house needs so many lights! Balcony lights! My fiancée's favourite! Balcony lights with the cosy egg shaped seats. The other end of the balcony with a platform and a half tiled wall. This is where the future water feature will be. This is the light at the main door. Actually I don't think we will use it much. Crystal uplights for the dinning hall. My favourite rose crystal lights to light up the walk way to the bedrooms. Another shot. Ok, I think I will stop for today. Thanks for viewing! Thanks thanks. Yup, the WIW is on the small side. We didn't hack into any other room to claim space for it. Guess we will have to make do with our limited space in the MBR. The frosted glass is to hold up the ventilation fan. Behind it is the old type louvered glass window. So the frosted glass will serve two purpose. To hold up the fan and to obstructed any uninvited "view" into the bathroom. You can visit KDK Website and look for Sensu fan to get a better idea.
  10. My ID also did me a great favour by doing up the KDK Kensu ventilation fan for me. If I get the entire fan plus acrylic panel from KDK, it will cost me clost to $500 per fan. He did it up with frossed glass and cost me less then half the cost! Photos here! Ventilation fan in common bathroom. Ventilation fan in Master bathroom. Must remind guest to be careful of the glass though, might bump their head. !! Let's look at the tv feature walls! The idea is to hide all unsightly cables. So far so good. This one allows me to rotate the TV 360 degrees. Unfortunate the HTS cannot turn with it! This is the MBR TV feature wall. Yipes, didn't realise 32 inch is so big especially when we position it right in front of the bed. Now lets look at the cornice. Cornice in warm light. Cornice in white light. I love the angles it creates!
  11. Hurray! Alumix finally done up the most important room for the woman of the house, i.e. the Walk In Wardrobe! Took them 3 sessions over two days to do it up. Tsk tsk. Fortunately everything turned out fine! More photos on the way! Board view of the entrance of WIW. The sliding door to the WIW done by my ID Melvin, really nice! Thie mirror was given free by Alumix! The centre compartment The right compartment. Hopefully it will be big enough for the two of us. Else my clothes are going into the boxes!
  12. Hi All! I didn't realise my ID firm has a topic here! Blur me! If you are interested to see what my ID has done for my home, do take a look at my reno blog here: Photos of my home by Ideal House My ID is Melvin, he is a very nice guy and has been most accomodating to my requests.
  13. Hi predaking, sorry I took so long, had to go dig for the receipt. Here is the Shop: Tiong Yeong Hardware Pte Ltd 1 Syed Alwi Road #01-01 Song Lin Building Singapore 207628 $120 for Square Glass Bowl
  14. Oh, those are mosaic tiles. I've used quite a fair bit of mosaic throughout the house. Really love the effect it gives. Credit goes to my ID! Thanks!
  15. Yup, single compressor for all 4 units. I tell you, that **** thing is so HUGE!!!! I mounted it inside my service balcony, when I turn on my air con, it turns my service balcony into a drying room.
  16. Mine is Tosiba System 4 Inverter, about $3.4k Got it from All BEST!
  17. You are good! How could you tell the mirrors are from Ikea? I thought they were big and classy plus value for money! The air con? er . . . its the one with higher BTU, I think around 30,000 BTU? Not too sure . Alone, it is unable to chill the entire hall, but combine that with the ceiling fan, it does wonders! In fact, it gets very chilly!
  18. Total reno cost? Around mid-30s. My ID was really great and helpful. He helped me save quite a fair bit! Er . . . name? You wil have to give me till Monday to find my receipt. Sorry, I do not have sliding glass panels in any of the rooms. What are you referring to?
  19. Got it from Ikea Tampines. Er . . . . Not dirty enough to warrant cleaning as of yet, so cannot comment on cleaning ease or difficulty. Its quite cheap though! I only remember it is less than $100 !! I got mine somewhere near Jalan Besar as well! Hrm, I think it was slightly over $150 . . .
  20. You liked it? It's was a good buy from Ikea! We jumped at it when we saw it, and we loved the price too!
  21. Fan is from Amasco. Only around $190 without the lights and remote. Fiancée choose it as she loves the gunmetal colour. And yes you are right, its a great space saver and moves lots of air!
  22. Thank you monsieurlee. Well, we still have the WIW, the platform for waterfeature on the balcony, exhaust fans for both bathrooms and plentiful of defects which cannot be seen on the photos waiting to be rectified. The feature wall is around 2k+. Was quite worried about the TV falling off, it was **** heavy! So far, it held. TV was up for almost 5 days. Still no SVC, only free to air channels.
  23. Next up, our open concept kitchen! Came under heavy fire from my parents about being hard to maintain, clean, etc. Oh well . . . guess I’ll just have to be real disciplined! Perhaps you may have noticed that we really like black! And here is our common bathroom. Simplicity is key! See the windows? Our ID is suppose install the KDK kensu exhaust fan for us. All right, let’s show you our walk way to the bedrooms. My fiancée complains we wasted too much space here. I guess it just give us some depth. First door on the right opens up to the MBR. Not entirely ready, but you'll get the idea.
  24. Hi everyone! I've been reading the forum for a long time. Since I am about to complete my home reno, my fiancée and I decided to share our home with you. It is about 80% complete so do bear with us! Let's start with the floor plan: It is a 5 room flat purchased during the last walk in selection. Its 135 sq metres in size, really fortunate to get it although our queue number is in the 900 over range! Let's start with the main entrance shall we? What you see here is the main door with the build in shoe cabinet in the background and the dining table in the foreground. Let me try to give you a better look around the dining hall. As you walk further in, you'll find our living hall. Sofa just came in today! Full recliners!
