Actually no leh but we don't have a preference. Choosing this because it is similar to the kitchen tile and also if we have a dog in future, the dog hair will not be that visible.

Oh ya didn't notice the laminate grain... Maybe will get Alan to lay it the other way? Living room is those typical 3 room narrow types so if need to elongate, then need to focus on its width. It is very hard to find a real solid black tile so we opted for the non-slip tiles shown above. From this angle, the 'black' looks more like very dark grey but it has a bit of shimmer so hard to capture the true color.

Today we contemplated to do wrought iron window grills but in the end settled for usual ones cos they will cost twice more expensive & will take longer time to wipe. Your house will definitely stand out from your neighbors when viewed from outside

Haha go to Daiso to buy the Muji replica transparent boxes ($2 @ Daiso but $6+ @ Muji). Best containers to organize the smaller items and stackable and definitely can fit in your fat drawers! Oh rain shower sets from TB & all taps (basins & kitchen) from Amazon, brand Delta. Bathroom accessories from TB & Ikea.

As we took half day leave for tile selection, we had some time left after meeting contractor. So we went down to City Gas to understand more about gas heaters & do a transfer of utilities account. To our horror, we are not eligible for town gas. Or rather, our block is so old that there is no piped gas facility! So bye bye to Gas stuff and ... Prior to meeting contractor, we have visited 5 times to Unlimited, An Huat, SBH & Hafary on our own. Also we are pretty fixed on what we want from the beginning. During our 2nd meeting with contractor to revise the quote, we already showed him tile samples & told him to revise the quote based on the tile size & costing. Minor changes we made along the way are more due to impracticality (hard to clean) or exceed budget.

We are toying with a similar idea but using a smaller & slimmer beer bottle from 7-11. We already have a set of 3 pendant lamps hand-made & bought from Thailand but broke 1 bottle recently it is a pity to trash this away... How do you intend to cut the glass bottle?

Living Room + 2 Bedrooms: - this is the closest matching floor laminate color with kitchen wood tiles. We are more particular on aesthetics and practicality so we didn't choose top-range products like HERF. Also never tried if this laminate will give the floaty feeling as it will be used to overlay the current tiled floor.
