  1. puppy sick? hmmm, i am skeptical also. why don't you go 'spot-check' the puppy?
  2. Yes I have gotten not just the hob, hood, microwave oven from Kuche but also their washing machine The only things we didn't buy from Kuche were their built-in oven (ya like you, we are not Nigella hahaha), dishwasher and the dryer (just 2 of us so we will hang our clothes HDB-style!). Check this out: http://www.apslifestyle.com/catalogues/kuche-catalogue%20cover.pdf We bought KGH93X (hob), KCW398X (hood), BM-25 (microwave oven) = around $1000 (can't remember the exact amount cos was bundled with our other electrical appliances).
  3. I forgot...somemore I even asked you earlier if you were keeping your marble flooring. But this look is nicer. And your Before and After pictures are very different....congrats! Post more pix of the other parts of your house and your little doggy too!
  4. Wow cement screed floor! Nice! Like the spaciousness of your living room!
  5. We took a new brand 'Kuche' which is a German brand and commonly used for commercial kitchens. They have a home range and we got a good deal from the electrical shop at Jalan Kayu. Think it cost us around $1k for a chimney hob, 3 burner stove (using cylinder gas) and a built-in microwave oven. Oh they sell SMEG cooker hood+hob etc also but SMEG is a higher-end brand with higher prices
  6. 加油! to prepare for both is not easy but am sure both you and mrs merry can do it
  7. Hi, you can consider built-in microwave oven if you do not need many functions. It looks nice, steamlined and there are a few options available.
  8. That's really cute...now need to see which friend coming back from HK soon...
  9. Wow your contractor so on, tomorrow start work on your renovation. Mine only willing to start this thurs
  10. Nice clock! Is it 2 clocks hanging one on top of another as a set?
  11. Nice, especially the first one (cos we chose that for our bathroom flooring
  12. A little missy addition to your family - congrats! How old is she and what breed?
  13. Hmm i think can still try if you have tried installing the bigger Ikea items but you definitely need a few pairs of hands. We just ordered a queen bed from TB which requires self-assembly. Bit worried about it and we are prepared to pay either our contractor to install for us or pay privately to the ikea guys when they come to install our Pax wardrobe!
  14. No we haven't asked any seller to ship direct to us - I think that would be too challenging as our written mandarin is so 'broken'. We got all to ship to the Guangzhou warehouse of Amcon forwarder who will consolidate and ship altogether.
  15. VERY nice! Like your wardrobe a lot! Can't wait to see the study room cabinets
  16. Hi I found out more about my Mom's new toy.The brown rice we buy from the super-market is unpolished which many people find it hard to eat. So this machine will help to remove bit of the outer to make it more delectable. You end with having grains that are between unpolished brown rice and fully polished white grains - nice & fluffy and 'lighter'. So don't think it will help in saving $ cos it is more to enhance the taste. It doesn't take much time to polish the brown grains and you can keep the leftover water to be used ala 'SK II' for your face The machine not cheap though (I almost fell off my chair when mom told me; wondering if we have given her too much pocket money monthly). S$844 if you are Diamond member. There is a promo at S$1400 for 2 sets so you can share with someone else. Malaysia is retailing this at RM3000+. Hope this helps!
  17. @summer, curious what are your new tiles for? An Huat has such nice designs right?
  18. Didn't know Mayer has their own version of Airfryer & it looks nicer! Any idea how much it is? Windows - we have confirmed those 'cottage' types, hmm those white frames and the middle divided into various small windows. Not sure if I am describing correctly lol
  19. Ikea is our best friend! For you, not easy, running away to different homes now. Lucky we only do renovation once in a long time or else we will age much faster!
  20. Alamak by the time the card is ready, sale already over lor! Any kind bro or sis out there going to Robinsons closed door sale? Can help me buy one?
  21. Ya S$11 is ok! Errr 15% is sale price but what is the second 15%? 5% rebate due to ocbc robinsons card? We didn't apply for this card but we have other ocbc cards; not sure if the rebate amount is still the same
  22. Actually your renovation seems quite fast leh and that's a lot of craft bricks used! Nice! Can't wait to see the end result of your place! Oh craft bricks laying shifu, is that same as the tiler?
