Haha cos we have 2 chins ourselves - a male 2 years old and a female 5 months old!How long have you been staying in with the renovation going on? We have stayed a week and everyday, there were new installations and more dust. We have been vacuuming and mopping everyday and it is super duper tiring!

Ikea stuff is actually quite nice though the quality for some of their lower-end range is not as good. However, 一分钱，一分货。Few years later, once we sianz of the design, can change easily. Our house is gonna be an ikea showroom except for the kitchen LOL

Same here! We are considering a switch also. We give very regular updates to our contractor. We coordinated directly with some of his sub-cons too! We even helped him bank in the 2nd payment! But we told ourselves - this is our love nest so worth sleeping with the dust. Same as Apple, we have moved in last Friday and only this week, most of the things are installed gradually. Right now they are installing our kitchen door and main gate ><

Hi hi, no lah A hasn't handed over to us but as our lease ended last month, so we moved in first. Only met the carpenter today for our kitchen cabinet. Window grills also up today but we still don't have a main gate yet!

Mr K is very good cos so far, we have never heard negative feedback of his service and workmanship! A pity that his quote for our resale flat is higher than the other contractors or else we will surely go with him.

For the bigger items like our wardrobe, we engaged their assembly services. For the TV wall-mounted cabinets, we also got them to assemble. We made a mistake for our bathroom basin and ended up with this: Our puny basin with the 'Evil Queen' mirror by Makanology, on Flickr In view of the petite sizes of HDB bathrooms, we went for the smallest size of the color range. Alas, the basin ended up smaller than our 'Snow White & the Evil Queen' mirror... Now it just looks so comical LOL

No place for a fireplace! Today Ikea came to fix our TV console and some display cabinets. Now the living room looks like a war zone as we have boxes of stuff everywhere! Will show pix once the area is cleared!
