  1. Thanks! This is the Besta range and I think it is around $600-700? Sorry we are still unpacking and the receipt is somewheerree out there
  2. As our kitchen cabinet is not installed yet, we focused on unpacking and the living room Living room (work-in-progress; accents not added yet) by Makanology, on Flickr There's still a lot to do here - clearing up the mess, trying to squeeze as many of my toys in the display cabinets as possible etc. think a house is never really one without adding the personal touches so we will work on this as we wait for the completion of our other rooms.
  3. Here's how our ikea tv console looks like: Living room (work-in-progress; accents not added yet) by Makanology, on Flickr Not much space left for a decent size coffee table haiz...
  4. We are facing the same challenge! Where to find a petite coffee table that matches our furniture?
  5. Haha post-renovation cleaning up is REALLY scary. We are either vacuuming, mopping or magic-mopping or sometimes all 3 steps daily! Earlier someone commented that I have lost weight! Housework is the new form of exercise now.
  6. Bought it at Home-Fix at $99 as part of their GSS promo. It looks cheem to me but Mr E figured it out and used it for the first time in his life. Haha there were some holes wrongly drilled so have to patch up ourselves. Actually what makes it difficult is how stubborn our prefab walls are. Have to apply more force to drill anything!
  7. We are almost like giraffes from waiting for our contractor to finish up bits and pieces for us so we took advantage of GSS and invested in a Bosch impact drill. Project DIY started: DIY by Makanology, on Flickr Organizing our little store room by wall mounting things to free up floor space! DIY by Makanology, on Flickr Even the Electrolux vacuum cleaner is not spared. Also wall-mounted! DIY by Makanology, on Flickr Can't wait for the plumber so we fixed the bidet spray ourselves! DIY by Makanology, on Flickr Drilled the unconventional 'towel rail' from Ikea as well as the Evrilholder Magic Holder to organize all our cleaning apparatus! DIY by Makanology, on Flickr Fixed our 1st set of curtains for our MBR. Obviously Mr E gave in to me with the lace and floral design and the pink walls
  8. We are facing the exact plight now. No updates at all and we have to keep a lookout outside to see if his subcons are here to fix something. Just yesterday, my Mr E was walking back home and saw a lorry turning into our carpark with a shower screen. He went to ask them which floor it is for and found out it is ours! No advance notice etc!
  9. Haha you are so funny! We have also donated several years of our lives to him also!
  10. Wow that is a commendable effort! Well done!
  11. Found them at this hardware shop in jurong west extension! Hock Siong was selling them in black at $30 each and of sturdy quality! For red or green, have to spray them. These were sprayed by my hubs...green spray paint from Artfriend and they have tons of colors to choose from! for 2 lights, you need 1 spray can but to be safe, buy 2 cans.
  12. gorgeous furniture and agree with you, the coffee table totally rocks it...would you mind sharing where you have seen these pieces?
  13. Hi MHB, if you are using the painted cement tiles, yes I agree with retchlow. They stain easily. We brought some extra pieces to be displayed for our ROM buffet presentation and someone put the gravy pot lid on it. After the event, the gravy went into the tile permanently!
  14. Hi Vanessa, no news yet as she just got back from a work trip.I took a look at the TB links shared by Freaker; the first one has better and more reviews than the 2nd one. Found another seller that is selling a similar design to the first one but she seems to have a better track record: http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=18110830630
  15. Wow it is a very big mirror and very nice! Think the shipping is worth it. You used Amcon or Peeka?
  16. Oops the soundbar is out of our budget but it really looks nice. Good choice for taking LG!
  17. Kitchen cabinets not done yet Met carpenter but no update when they will be installed...
  18. Nice sound bar! Can share how much it is? And congrats to collecting your keys today! The wait for the keys is over but another wait begins - the wait for the renovation to be over and then move in! Jia you!
  19. That's good! Would you mind sharing if the additional items you have added increased the total bill by a fair or big amount?
  20. Hallow! We have been busy! Busy sorting out the house, the remaining renovation works and our ROM/ wedding (yesterday!). Today our new sofa cushion & covers came for our 20+ years old solid teak 3-seater. And also our OSIM uPhoria. Living room (work-in-progress) by Makanology, on Flickr Will try to add something to the wall on top of the sofa and on our red shoe cabinet (sans the white border protective sticker).
  21. I like it but Mr E feels so so about it. The other problem is I don't know where to put at home though I do know we have underestimated my Hello Kitty collection and we are seriously running out of display space.
