  1. Hi June, we faced the same problem with our LED bulbs... Changed 6 over the last few months. Switched to ikea Ledare bulbs which hopefully, can last longer!
  2. Ah yes, Smeg fridges have very short wires for their plugs. Love how the pink fridge fits in so well in your kitchen
  3. Haha we share almost the same theme for our common bathroom with vintage bath and tap fittings! Good taste
  4. Hi ProjectH, sorry we thought we have Ah Kiong's number but apparently we didn't saved it but we do know he works as a team with Ah Gui. So best to get his number via Gui.
  5. Hi just wondering for the soft toys placed at the base of the tree, wouldn't your cat or dogs just play ad toss them around? We are thinking of putting a fence around the tree so our dog cannot 'disturb' it.
  6. Who's your plumber and your electrician? Our plumber was Ah Beng. Electrician was Ah Kiong.
  7. Haha Ah Gui is really nice but a bit blur at times. A few weeks back, we saw him buying 4D. Almost wanted to 'disturb' him - Ah Gui, eat snake har? Lol Anyways we intend to look for him directly next time if we need more carpentry work. Good for u to keep the numbers of the better sub-cons...
  8. Cool! Like what you are doing to your place!
  9. Haha tell me about potty-training! And Aki seems like a fast learner! Less than a week, he can pee correctly 3 out of 4 times? Wow, impressive! Our Leia has been with us since July and she still cannot pee/poo at the right spot she has also chewed off the paint at a corner of a cabinet, spoilt quite a few rugs and scratched a bar stool... Comes with having a puppy at home.
  10. Oh my gosh! Aki is soooo cuutttteeee! 佩服! Settling in the house, unpacking and potty-training, all at the same time. Not so easy! 加油!
  11. Hi Royal & Rumble are so cute! Yes thankfully our renovation is over. Looks like both of you have settled in nicely!
  12. Hi Piaget, we bought this at Home Depot: http://m.homedepot.com/p/Unbranded-Lily-2-in-x-4-in-Ceramic-Tile-House-Address-Number-1-30241-0/202544482?MERCH=REC-_-email--_-na-_-202544482-_-N&restrackid=ca_W236254909&cm_mmc=hd_email-_-PP_OMS_Ord_Conf-_-_Ord_Conf-_-Certona1__W236254909
  13. Sorry guys, this is totally not related to renovation but just have to share this warning. When you do DIY work at home, make sure your fur-kids are not nearby... Leia & her mischief by Makanology, on Flickr Leia & her mischief by Makanology, on Flickr
  14. Another joins our 3 roomer club - welcome!
  15. Nope we didn't do anything to the bricks... Left them as they are. Only wiped off some dust with wet wipes whenever we remember (haha this is not frequent)!
  16. Lacquer over the bricks will give them an artificial glossy look right? Our bricks were not lacquered over.
  17. I think stacking the bricks this way with a not-so-wide grout is better as the bricks will act as a support for one another. We laid our bricks in a random manner and after a few months, the cement cracks... We have been experiencing falling loose bricks now and then
  18. Bought this online and like how much it accentuates the quirkiness of our eclectic place. Finally, we have a door sign after more than 5 months of stay! New door sign by Makanology, on Flickr We also bought 2 wall-mounted mail holders from Urban Outfitters which turned out to be a nightmare! Bulky items which jacked up the shipping cost (my bad!) and they are rusty! Mr E is gonna do some DIY work on them to salvage it.
  19. Waiting for Black Friday! Now busy short listing stuff and hope that there will be good discounts by then *keeping fingers crossed*
