3D's quote came back abit higher that my budget ... and after factoring in those thing that have to buy on the side, it became over by a lot. however, she did put in a rather good effort to quote and if i were really going to do up the house nicely, i would have signed her. but all i wanted is just a normal/standard reno.

ok, you received a few quotes for you reno and finally selected one. so what will you do for those rejected quotes ? you call them or just keep quiet and get along with your reno ?

after getting so many quotes from renovators and you finally decide on one, how do you havdle the rejected quotes ? do you inform them that you have not selected them or just keep quiet and get along with you reno ?

during reno, where do you store your existing electricals , eg, fridge, washer and furnitures　？

anyone got experiences with them ? there are quite a number of furniture shops with webpages but i simply hate those which does not list prices for us to consider and compare. however, the above comes with prices as it s full online shop. only downside is cannot feel the actual product.

just met up with a female ID from 3D this evening ... went through my floor plan and explained what she had in mind. my reno require is very,very simple for my 3rm ... bedroom + hall = new floor tiles 2 toilets and kitchen = full rework + kitchen cabinet. let see what quote she can come up with by tomorrow. ** btw, anyone else has anymore experiences to share ?

nice ... provided if you intend to stay alone or with your wife only .... and no kids in the floor plan. i thought about it too, esp with my 3ng at only 69 sq ... but i think i will need the second room sooner or later. as for the wall btw my hall and kitchen, it already removed by the previous occupants. you drew the 3d yourself or your reno contractor did it ?

is there a difference btw taking a reno bank loan and paying cash without loan ? will it protect us in the renovator goes rouge ? i mean previously i paid cash full for a used car and ended up being cheated by the car dealer when he took my $21k cash and did not transfer the car to me. (make police report also no use ... civil case they say) anyway, back to reno; will taking bank loan ensure that we will not be cheated by the renovator ? when comes to work not done or relay .... etc？

got two rough quotes from reno company for 3room rewiring ... $1.5k to $2k. but ST classified ads got ads for under $800. why so much diff ? also, if opt to do separate rewiring, should i do rewiring or reno first ?

so far seen quite a number of reno websites and their galleries .... was thinking of doing my kitchen and two toilets ... but it has dawned on me that HDB toilets , being so small, don't really let IDs or contractors express their creativity or skills ...because i have not come across a pic of a done-up HDB toilet in all the reno galleries. all the toilets featured are all landed or condo ... huge (double of HDB size) and expressive ... but no HDB toilets !!?? anyone come across any galleries by reno firms which show HDB toilets ?

i am considering doing up my kitchen and 2 bathrooms of my 3ng resale. however, just want a clean functional place ... so thinking about a no frills, no need snazzy designs package. anyone done something similar recently can recommend ?

my 3 rm corridor resale unit is currently fitted with the standard longer 4 panels sliding windows. would like to replace with the above type. contractors, feel free to send me a quote too. Thanks.
