Any simpler ones that I can just buy in Singapore without having to go through an online purchase?

I just bought my 42" LCD TV from Mustafa yesterday. The sales guy from Mustafa is very pleasant and nice. He even made some small talk with me AFTER the purchase was made. For most salesmen, after sale is made, bye bye!

I've been to their warehouse before. But when their IFC outlet was newly opened, there was a notice directing customers to the IFC outlet instead, and the warehouse was closed. So I thought the warehouse is permanently closed because of the IFC outlet nearby.

Talking about smell now, my neighbours below are really smelly. Not only are they smokers, incense burners, there's also a type of bawu (body odour) emitting from their unit.

Apparently in overseas, you can sue your neighbour for causing you health problems from their secondhand smoke that drifts into your home. !! Alternatively, I think it's ok if you pay a visit to your neighbours and tell nice NICELY that their secondhand smoke is causing you health problems. Heh, I might just do that if it gets too much!

Nope, no mosquitoes. Our fishes will eat up all the larvae before they can become mosquitoes! Haha. Maintenance wise, I was told if there's gravel in the tank, the gravel will help to trap the dirt. Only need to change the filter once it's dirty. We only need to change the water in the pond around 2 months once if there's a turtle. If just fishes, around 3-4 months once. That's what hubby told me.

I see some neighbours washing their own common area instead of waiting for the town council. Will intend to do the same. That's one of the difference between HDB and condo, where the latter have cleaners washing the whole estate and every level EVERYDAY! Since our's HDB, so I'm not expecting much. I only hope those millipedes, big & small will all go away!

Thanks, my husband still needs to make a platform for the RES to rest, and a hiding place for the fishes. After that, then we'll bring over the RES who is living in another home now. Ya, the old father and daughter in her late 30s or 40s came up to my doorstep within minutes of the drilling. VERY FAST and extreme reaction.. They were not there to tell us nicely, they were at my doorstep to SCOLD! I opened the door, and without even a cordial hello, BOTH of them immediately started scolding and scolding me at the SAME TIME!! Very nasty neighbours I have. Talking about smoke, I also keep smelling the neighbour's cigerette smoke whiffing into my home, quite annoying too. Yep, I'm staying at Blk 91. Aiyoh, what to do, a little bit of annoyance in exchange for a great location..

I think it's pretty cool to have an open concept if you intend to splurge on the toliets. But your visitors might look at you in a kinky way for adopting this concept in the MBR toliet. I remember a few condos who adopt the open concept in the MBR too, in a different way. The bathtub opens up to the bedroom, and can also be covered for privacy.

Last evening the technician who installed the aircon dropped by, checked, and said there's nothing wrong with their installation. He said probably the aircon compressor is not working well and asked us to call Daikin to change it. He said there have been a few cases like this. He assured my husband Daikin will definitely change the compressor for us. Hmm..not sure if he's trying to push away responsibility or what. Last night is too cooling to waste our electricity testing the aircon again. I'll leave it to my husband to settle this problem. Enjoy some natural air-con first.

Last night I got a very warm welcome from my neighbours below!! My husband was doing some late drilling at 10+pm. The father and daughter tag team came up, scolding and ranting away at poor me since I was the one who opened the door to them. Good grief, even if they're unhappy, I thought they could have been abit more pleasant about it. Moreover the woman was ranting away about kids stomping away which was totally irrelevant since there're none, and asked me rudely if there're kids in the house. In all my years living in different neighbourhoods, just my good luck to meet such friendly lovely neighbours! Thank you! We slept throughout New Year's day, woke up, took pictures, post on blog, eat, sleep again, then finally started clearing away some mess again. It's so cooling here at Tanglin Halt I didn't even on the fan last night! Ahhh...first time in years, saving so much electricity!!

I expect this month's bill to be quite high, sigh! In a way, blessing in disguise our brand new aircon is not working (thanks to All Best), so we're forced to get use to the fan again, which we already plan to anyway. Doing well on it. But our new electricity consumption includes our new pond which uses 24 hours electricity for the light and pump, clothes dryer, & roomba. Hope we don't get a heart attack this month..

If I were to sell my house, I would remove all my hanging lights and replace with some ordinary ceiling light. I wouldn't include my chandeliers in the deal too, and wouldn't let prospective buyers see them in case they want it too!

My personal experience wasn't good. Firstly, we signed up with them not because they were the cheaspest (Best Tech is), but my husband likes the specs given. End up, we got the same specs as what Best Tech was giving, although the technician gave "valid" reasons for that. Also, we were told the Starmex system 4 non-inverter aircon cannot fit through our window, we were told to take Daikin system 4 instead. At that point we signed up, Daikin was $2100+, they told us the rates have already risen and charged us $2288 instead. I felt quite cheated. Moreover, I've heard that they could've removed the window to fit in the Starmex aircon, but guess the technician was too lazy or don't know how to do that. They told us they've done lots of Tanglin Halt units, they should've know whether the Starmex System 4 can fit through the window or not, yet we were not informed. I kinda suspect they just want us to sign up first, then later on reveal the truth and by then we're tied to them! Worst part is, after installation of aircon, we tested it, and found that it wasn't cold at all! Overall, unpleasant experience with them, poor aftersales service, poor workmanship. !! All Best is supposed to call us today to arrange a technician to see what's wrong with our aircon. Well, I'll update if they can fix the problem.

Yes, it's at Tanglin Halt. You mean the one in the MBR or living room? It's a wicker sofa actually, I split the whole sofa set to fit one side in the living room, and the other side in the MBR.

I saw remnants of the fireworks sparks from my master bedroom window. Haha. Before midnight, hubby already asleep. I had to wake him up and say it's the new year!! He mumbled happy new year, and promptly fell back asleep.

Hmm..looks like we have been eyeing at the the same stuff, with the aircon and Sitex promo! LOL, I also feel sore about the Sitex promo, wasn't paying attention to it at all until the day after it ended! And this All Best .. I feel that we installed aircon but it feels like we never installed any! It's expensive and useless unless they fix it! Imagine...BRAND NEW aircon which is NOT COLD...speaks alot about their installation skills..and lousy workmanship...

Few months back, the Daikin system 4 non-invertor was $2100+, I sign up with them at that time for Mitsubishi Starmex instead, weeks later during installation of trunking, the aircon technician said the Starmex model cannot fit through the winodw, tell us to take the Daikin one instead. So we told All Best about this, they charged $2288 (9,9,9,18) instead of the price we sign up for weeks ago. I felt abit cheated. Now after installation, the aircon is NOT COLD AT ALL. We've to get them down again this Wed to check on the unit. Overall expeirence with them is unpleasant, poor aftersales service, and poor workmanship. Might as well get from Best Tech seriously, cos I believe it's cheaper. We took All Best thinking they give better specs. End up during installation time, the specs they gave were the EXACT same specs as what Best Tech was giving. Chey! And they had "valid" reasons for doing what they did despite writing down a different spec as stated in the agreement. And Best Tech offered free gifts at that time too. Now, if I wanna opt for these 2 companies, I rather take the cheaper one, if you wanna take the risk with these companies.
