am trying to find a new cover for my TV/ FM ...but it's been very hard as this type is from ages ago... anyone know where to get it??
-
during these 3 weeks wait...we found the wooden door frame the master bathroom rotting at the bottom!! decide to change to glass door and hack away the wooden frame just in case but everything in the bathroom is already tiled and done.. with the week, it's completed. very lucky for us, ID got us a skilled tiler or someone who hacked away the frame without damaging the wall tiles!! phew!!
-
and all these from JB...cheaper but have to drive around to find what you want... so if you are busy and dont want to drive into JB, then suggest you buy in singapore..
-
went to a lot of places....including Universal Union, Sing Siang Jun and even to JB... in the end, we bought mainly from 3 places....Universal Union, JB and Lite Fusion...Lite Fusion is by accident as we were at ID's office to discuss colors and we saw that shop a few doors away.. Things bought from; Lite Fusion things not seen here are basins and mixers for bathrooms. from Universal Union..
-
so many thing to buy...toilet bowls, basins for bathrooms and kitchen, shower heads, shower mixers, mixer for bathrooms and kitchen...the list goes on.....
-
and now we choose wood laminate color, paint color... very easy task...since it's all white....white for laminates and walls...my parents want to have glossy white for walls but unfortunately, there is no glossy white...so we choose white will a little gloss...matt white will not do as it tend to get dirty easier (?) something along that line based on what we had in our current place... week 6-8 no activities...so we went shopping with sanitary items for the house..
-
false ceiling done in week5... bedrooms living room
-
went searching for sockets and light switches... the variety are only 2-3 brands... Hager brand Legrand A comparison... in the end, use neither....went with schneider instead...as recommended by ID and he said it will look nice and sleek....
-
after week4, the living room is done and covered up with cupboards. work started on false ceiling and wiring.. lots of wirings and holes on the walls...

very sleek looking bathrooms you have there... -
kitchen within week2 to 3, bathrooms and kitchen and yard are almost done...very fast and good it seems...left the living room which is the most important critical when coming to tiling....
-
master bathroom also almost completed rather fast....
-
thanks!! i am also surprised at the 3D drawings ....let's hope the drawings match the final product...
-
back to reno... Week 2 thru Week 4 ... the wetworks continue... the common bathroom is almost completed...am impressed with the tiler...he's fast and good...and friendly as well... looking good...all white and reflective...at least didnt made a small room smaller... dont understand the cement on the floor...is it water proofing? or just sceening for the floor before the floor tiles...
-
my living and dining areas have changes made to the 3D drawings due to the wrong colors for woodworks..so dont have the final version...but it's all white as well....
-
kitchen this is another surprise visually... not expecting a white and grey kitchen to look this good...hopefully the actual product matches the pic..
-
unfortunately, bathroom door color cannot change ...we keeping the original door as it's plain, simple and in good condition....but getting the ID to re-vanish it to look new....in fact all the rooms' doors are kept and revanish... for wardrobe glass...i know it is green tint in color as glass with white backing will look a little green.. ask my ID how...he said can upgrade to white glass which is really white but will be expensive...an add $500 for each wardrobe! so 3 wardrobes will be add. $1500!! ...after thinking...not very worth it to spend that much on glass doors....though i would like to have really white glass wardrobe doors... sigh... for laminates...my ID choose for me a white laminate that is white and not bluish in color...dont know what that means... he mentioned something about the thickness or surface of the laminates..hope it will look white and not blue...
-
the bedroom. nothing wow here...i keep the existing panquet floor and choose white for wardrobes and walls...
-
the master bathroom everything is similar except there is a cupboard and wall tiles are not pure white as seen here...there is slight grey lines on white...will show the actual tiles when i post up the pics of the complete bathroom..
-
haha.. thanks!! ya, i choose the very basic white wall tile...all white and it's rather cheap as well.. as for floor, i choose a slightly rough surface with some shiny dots dark grey tile...bottom left hand corner at thread#16... would love a white or lighter shade floor tile but have to be practical since lighter shade or white floor tiles will be very obvious when dirty...
-
my common bathroom i know i want a white bathroom to make it look clean, big and minimalist but am totally not expecting this visually...LOVED it!! all white everywhere but with grey floor tiles...of cos the shower head, basin and toilet bowl will not be the same as in the pic...everything else is as what i want.
-
after work has started for 1 week or 2...ID called to say that the 3D drawings are ready... great!! can't wait to see how the color choice and layout will look like...
-
after the water-proofing the floor...the works for tiling starts... the sand and stuffs all arrive and fill up the living room...tiles arrived earlier
-
with the lights and fan out of the way, let's go back to the reno. after 1 week of hacking and clearing the rubbish...the tiling and wetworks start... i think this is water-proofing the floor...didnt get to ask the person as i went there after work...

After many many weeks of light and fan hunting, we finally decided and bought all the items. for bedrooms - from downlight+cove lights to pendant light to finally downlights...so many changes.. in the end, we bought 26 LED square downlights, 1 LED T5, 22 T5 for covelights, 4 LED norm lights, 3 halogen lights and 1 effect light for foyer....sooo many lights...bought all from JB..the recommendation from you guys...thanks! definitely saved a lot of money! dining table light and fan will be delivered and installed when the paintworks are done. fan will be amasco as seen above..the white 3 blades one.
