Where did you buy your kitchen mixer?

Can check what is the brand of Solid Surface top you choose? Coz I seldom see blink blink kind. Btw what's your laminate brand too? Nice choice.

Hi Bengologist, For the shoes above your height was actually shown on TV. And my FSM explained the reason to me: Shoes are constantly stick to Earth when walking and carries a lot of Earth on them. And if you are "buried" by Earth, you should know what it signifies. TV's (Mark Lee) explaination is: You keep getting "stepped" by people coz shoes are above you.

My current one is full frosted. Cost wise I don't know coz it was done some time in 2003 by my parents. Yours is $400 for what size? I got back the same contractor/ID who did my current place (a.k.a. my parents' place) and was quoted $150 per 1m frosted glass door for wardrobe. I find it quite reasonable but due to superstitions, we will not be doing glass doors ( ) and even had to hide the TV in the wardrobe. This means gotta diligently close the doors every night before we sleep. Anyway all these are still concept coz we haven't selected anyone after almost 6 months!

IMHO, air-con is never a need, it's always a want. Our parents grew up fine without air-con and men go through NS on an island hotter than Singapore, all without air-con.

I'm not sure if the others are marketing gimmicks but their composition are usually the same. Alternatively there is granite and quartz.

I guess it depends on the tracks used. My full height frosted glass doors have been serving me well for >10 years and each door is about 1m in length, so it's a huge and heavy door. I agree with you that in the eyes of fengshui, avoid any reflective surface that is facing your bed. Even TVs they advised against it.

You can build false wall to fill up the space. That's what I plan for one of my rooms to make the wall flush.

I was told that the China and Israeli quartz differences is in the certifications. E.g. Caesarstone has sent their products for lab test to show their chemical composition does no pose a threat to humans but the China ones being cheaper does not have. The other one I was told to test is the weight of each similar sized quartz. One which is denser is also heavier, the other is slightly lighter. Anyway this is my personal experience and should not be used for professional judgement for quartz. -

My experience with them is different. I met this Mr. Lee at our neighbour's flat and after informing him about our requirements and when we are getting our keys, he said okay but we haven't heard of him since. I manage to see our neighbour after his renovations and he advised against choosing him. His comments are that there are a lot of delays and hidden costs involved. And if you have already signed with him, make sure he shows you the full laminate catalogue. My neighbour was almost smoked into choosing from one of the simple and probably cheaper laminates. We felt quite lucky that he didn't contact us.

You've got PM blueeeeie, hope you can assist.

It's cheaper and has more functions. But repairing it will cost more due to lack of parts as the two Mitsubishi belong to two different companies.

I'm interested to know too. Can PM me? Thanks!
