phew what a relief jan just called up the HDB officer and after checking, apparantly our HLE has been approved too so now we're waiting for the letter to come to confirm our 2nd appt with HDB to settle the paperwork! Things are finally moving along - CAN'T WAIT!

June.. hmmm... maybe we might even be conducting the moving together. then we can compare notes on which is the best moving company around... sigh. my keys... it's illegal to call a locksmith down to make a set right? nah... just kidding.

nah mate. got schoolbus! Things are finally moving along, albeit slowly. We got our reno loan approved and we finally got to see our drawings. So all we need to do now is to wait and pray that HDB works a bit faster so that we can get started quickly. Going to select tiles and colours next Sunday.... *fingers crossed*

*peng* the only alumni my wife and I are on are the Old Rafflesians Association and for that school, they have to go in via merit - not through connections. *hmm* Henry Park has been trying to get me to join their alumni association... maybe it's never too early to prepare... oh wait i just checked the alumni association website. i only need to join the association 12 months before phase 2A(1) registration for my kids to have priority. No worries on that aspect then. I have loads of time!

oh dear.... that's a gd point... i actually wanna enrol my boys in Henry Park and my daughters into SCGS but i'm an old boy of Henry Park and my wife is an old girl of SCGS.... won't that help? I mean, no offence, but I'm not keen on sending my kids to Coronation Primary...

afraid not mate. JK has already stated emphatically that there will not be any more after the 7th book. Neither will there be a prequel, like Star Wars. She will, however, be writing books that we read about along the way in the Harry Potter series. She recently wrote the book "Magical Creatures and their properties" under a fictitious name and all the proceeds went to charity. Apparantly, she's considering the possibility of writing "Quidditch through the ages" next.

nah bro. There are several things for sure - 1) 2 main characters will die in the final book 2) Harry, Ron and Hermione will all survive.

we went on the last day, so the prices were slashed even further. We got it for only $799 inclusive of the delivery charge yeah lah, was worried that the akira brand CMI but when we're on a budget, cannot ai pee ai chee. so take la! grin hopefully it'll work well then i'll let you know...

grin it was super super crowded.... we really shouldn't go to these places, especially when we're on a tight, tight budget.... ended up getting an Akira LCD TV. then, as we were going back to the car, we went by Goldheart, went in and got our wedding bands too. Lousy brand, but budet tight lah...
