    i ordered from peeka also..easier for noobies..cause i find the previous recommended by a colleague forwarder abit x..but i realised peeka i use econ shipping whilst my recommended by a colleague forwarder i use air freight...maybe for bulk item i might go back to my reconmended forwarder as his charges are cheap..the joy of TB is addictive..i cant read Chinese as its not my mother tongue..had to rely on goggle translate and chrome..so many things to buy so many choices..once u start u cant stop..hahah

    If ur on MIOvoice aka digital line u need to connect the phone to directly to the modem/rg or even ONT if ur on fibre..if ADSL or even old package fibre connection its need to be connected to the modem back port label phone...

    SIM LIM TOWER hor not SIM LIM SQ...the mecca for electronics and DIY projects...the other is SLS the mecca for chop carrots and IT stuffs.When i was doing a project in KL for one of the pay tv service provider,the contractors have all the IR stuffs for watching 2 or 3 tv using one decorder. Theres always TB and Amazon to your rescue. you can always do the 2 cables to 6 ports switch.but its redundant cause you still need to run cabling to the 6 port switch.Logic rite?You will need a switch regardless cause the default RG/modem comes with 4 ethernet port. So the ideal scenario is to house all ur IT equipment and FTP and modem set up at one centralised corner.Like how office set up is ,all goes to server room.

    peeka?theres a note saying their last shipment is 15Jan. Hand itchy also cannot add in more orders.TBC after China CNY break.Hahahha...Bought few stuffs for wedding DIY from TB already and survived with goggle translate. I find Peeka quite responsive and meticulous.

    hi fellow TPY-ers..from the window pic ur staying at block 126 ..the market has plentiful of nice eats and have you tried Creamier ice cream located at the other corner of block 128 facing the playground?Creammi-licious wallet friendly upscale ice cream.Btw dont buy the prata from the indian stall @ block 128 its appetite suppressant prata The nasi padang stall @ block 125 is delicious but price is quite x if you overload on the nice stuffs.Its been there for ages since i was in primary school.

    Hi Pelect, I will only start to collate my list and buy after my wedding next year and when my BTO flat is about to be completed.Originality wise every country will have OEM kind of factory and authorized factory/agents.Only in SG everything is mark up.Comparing our nearest neighbour Msia,JB its cheaper there if u wanna source and travel.

    Pre fab house is the most easiest to drill.cause it's hollow at most of the loading.The drill has different mode.the screw mode,the hammer mode,the screw+hammer mode.for drilling of holes use the screw+hammer mode for ease of drilling.The wattage of the drill play a important part of how fast the RPM of the drill bit turning and it's strength .Dont forget to use wall plugs for screwing part as it hold the screws in placed.For tile drilling buy a tile drill bit and do not use too much forced as it might cracked.I have 2 types of drill,batt operated drill for assembly and screwing and power drill for drilling holes.Hope it helps.

    =( ..tell me about the refined burlap,only able to find online and the price after shipping is *faints*.The one i got are for marine industry usage and that's already cost me $5/metre.Linen mix cost cheaper you can get it for $4-$7 per m.Chinatown has the best price for normal run of the mill fabrics.Arab street and spotlight to me is OTT pricing for cotton/cotton mix/linen/linen mix kind of fabric but spotlight has better patterned and up to date design.Worst case scenario i need to venture to JB for softer refined burlap(if i can source) especially to JASKEL a multi level fabric shop.Will give you a heads up if i manage to get my hands on it.Wedding DIY projects 1st follow by house later.I'm a hands on groom who likes rustic shabby look kind of wedding decor which SG decorators is so way not updated.Hahahha

    Hey June, You should go to people parks market to source for fabrics.Plenty of materials to choose from.For a gunny sack look like,you got to find jute(very hard to source in SG).For more pleasing aesthetic wise go for linen. Theres plenty of cotton,cotton mix or linen that has gunny sack or the correct word burlap look.Burlap has many version the ones i got for my wedding project is really the gunny sack kind.Cotton calico is a good cheap material too.

    helpdesk personnel all talk doesnt use their brain.Depending on your house layout,drilling would be required. Electrician will do short cut like the above you mention but you can always ask them,you want all points to be parallel from the main source no sub splitting.By sub splitting your signal will be weaken.

    Urs condo right Bluecheeze?ur existing telephone connection is Cat5 ready looking @ your ip point,can do conversion but the end point must be original wires and point,some places i go to the owner installed eg a tv wall feature and reconnect and extend using new wire from the original point/wires.The BT point you can do like Ongs setup and use patch panel.If ur in the east i can drop by and help you and and use a cable tester to test the connection after conversion.Your existing phone socket should be rj11 connection and need to change to rj45 faceplate with keystone.

    Ladies and gents..go down to choo chiang on a non bz day maybe weekday after lunchtime and slowly ask for individual switches/sockets brands pricing quotes.They will need to key in SKU/Brands and one by one check the price Comparing Mk vs Legrand theres a difference of $0.50-$1.50 per switches and sockets.Sockets=power point outlet switches=light switch - thats how the uncle define them.haha there are different range for the brands that has been mention Mk,Legrand,Schneider --- Entry,Mid,High End.Different levels cost differ.Best choo chiang outlet you guys can recce is the wooodland main hq branch..most of the branches have display switches and sockets on a wooden board to have a feel2 touch2 but not in stock most of the time.

    ur using the single/double switch socket with the middle rocker,should have used single/double switch socket with external rocker..ur electrician uses the Belanko range which is the basic range.It cost less than $3.80++ (need to check receipt)but i bought MK range from Choo Chiang yesterday.DIY installed as replacement for existing non brand ones koyak socket and switches in my sis place.DIY lo if you have the time,replace the faceplate is quite simple.For socket its all about d/c the mains and replace 1 to 1 LIVE/EARTH/NEUTRAL wire from socket to socket using test pen.Maybe you ask your electrician to do 1 to 1 exchange?and maybe he can reused the faceplate @ another project?
