  1. Wash you car? or grow some plants so you can water them? lol That is my final conclusion also.
  2. Oh yes its here.. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=22523244134 and remember to intro in the forum here http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=2252...&topic=5100
  3. My contractor also mentioned about this. If you got a toilet bowl with a different mounting hole position then the original, you have an option to drill or not to drill. By drilling, you may damage the water proofing but its more secure and easier to remove next time. If not drilling, you have to use cement to secure the base to the floor and cannot use silicon, which makes removal next time more difficult. Without drilling it should be less secure (especially if the water tank is not bolted to the wall). But if the cement is done properly and left to cure properly it should not be a problem with stability. Well I choose not to drill anyway. Seems like our estate is not the only estate having this toilet bowl problem. From the Jalan Membina thread, some of the owner are also having other toilet problem relating to the connection piece (pan collar) not aligned properly causing the bowl to be choked easily etc. Oh ya, you MIA very long liao huh. How is your 2nd kid coming along? your wife due already? Mine is due this week (finally..)
  4. Actually i just replaced the MBR one first as a test to see how the new toilet is working, since normally you cannot test the bowl in the showroom. Later then consider changing the common room one. I got the eco-washer from this company (a japanese boss) below. But the price to install the toilet bowl by his contractor is a little steep. Eco-Washer It won't drip anywhere, just the bath room will be wet. Just make sure the contractor drys the bowl before carrying it out. During the installation, i requested the contractor to throw away the old toilet bowl for me. After he left, then i found that he threw it at the common rubbish area!?!? In the end i got to move it to the bulk garbage area myself Yup, the toilet bowl is mounted above the tiles. You do not need to get the exact size of the base, just make sure the distance from the wall to the center of the drain match the toilet bowl (ours is around 160mm) . When replaced, the cement/silicon connecting the bowl can be easily removed/sanded away by the contractor. You should not see any mark if they do a proper job.
  5. Got it from Inhwa marketing model CW661 (which can fit out drain hole position): $389.48 (incl. 10% discount as its recommended by a japanese contractor) excluding installation and minus the seat cover as I add in a bidet washer. Installation have to find your own contractor as they don't provide installation. My contractor did the installation including a bidet washer cover for $455
  6. Abit more update about my toilet bowl. Just about the time that I have decided to buy a new toilet bowl two months ago, I received a phone call from HDB asking me if I got toilet bowl problem (remember something like Mr. Tan ...) and say they will look into it with the contractor. A week later, got a HDB officer knocking on the door to ask if we got toilet bowl problem. Both time they cannot confirm any time for replacement. Seeing their enthusiastic response, we decided to wait for HDB and postphone the decision to replace the toilet bowl. After a month, no response from HDB and don't know who to call, give up, we went ahead to replace the toilet bowl ourself. For a peace of mind, we get toto. During the replacement the contractor found the black drain connection damaged due to inferior material. see the link below (warning: hope it don't make you loose your appetite) Damaged toilet drain connection Furthermore the position of the drain and the hole on the floor was not in-line causing inefficient drain. That maybe the reason why it did not drain properly. Now, i simply love my new toilet bowl!! The new toilet bowl can drain fully with not backflush with only 4.5l of water. Cannot imagine how i can live with the old one for a year now...
  7. sorry, off topic a little bit.. have anyone notice that the price of products in SengSong has went up quite a bit after Malaysia cuts their petrol rebate? Now, even some stuff in Cold storage and Isetan is cheaper then Seng "Siong" not to mention NTUC. My wife also notice that alot of people walking to quenstown ntuc to buys loads of stuff instead of SS. Time for SS to rethink their marketing liao.... And for the Sers, it should be a good thing to lifen up the neighbourhood. But as of now there are heavy demolision works on the replacement site, then this replacement site will be rebuilt with new building of "up to 40 storey", then the old 74-80 will be demolished. THEN when will we have a little bit of peace huh?
  8. Yah, i noticed that too.. and its a ikea's box. Which means that it should have been left there by the owner himself and not some contractors. Very inconsiderate!! Initially also wanted to throw it away, but after thinking, seems like that will encourage the litter bug to hit again. pek chek... Anyway thanks for throwing it away and hope these posts here catches his attention. Maybe we should start a 'catch the litter bugs contest...'
  9. Thanks Chriz! Even if HDB can't do anything too much about it, at least they ackowledged that this toilet bowl is a problem. As my wife said, she frequently saw original toilet bowls being thrown away in the rubbish dump. Wonder whats the main reason these people replaced it. Yah, it looks powderful, where you got that from? In the first place, why was your toilet bowl choking frequently last month? I start to have this thought that there is something wrong with the main pipe.. (just a thought).. as yesterday after i come back, tested the toilet a few times, it seems to be flushing again .. will have to keep trying again these few days to confirm if it is ok again..
  10. Seems like the forum is getting quiet again... Just a few things about the toilet bowl (again??) to vent my frustration... I was away for 3 weeks, two weeks ago, my wife complainted that the toilet bowl of the MBR appear to be choked, when flushed, water doesnt flush away. And she is sure that nothing big is thrown into it. With my advise, she bought a plumb and was ok after plumbing it. However the next day it happens again. So i advised her to call the NTUC plumbing service (as listed in the HDB's booklet) and was told to pay $40 for transport fee. Which she agreed. When the plumber arrives, he thinks the toilet is choke or the connection at the bottom of the bowl has gaven way (as my bowl was replaced once by Rigel). So to clear the choke (which my wife already did) is $40, and if it is still not good, and have to check the connection (which has to remove the toilet bowl) its $120. My worst tought was that if the bowl's pipe connection has really came off, I would have to spend $40+$120 just to repair this ****ty toilet bowl. I would rather replace the entire toilet bowl and spent the money to buy a new toilet bowl instead. So I ask my wife to just pay him $40 and send him off. Will just have to replace the toilet bowl and get it done with... too sianz with it liao.. but by doing so, it seems like giving the supplier an easy way out...
  11. First of all, kudos to khriz for being so proactive in all the issues with this neighbourbood. Actually my most worried part is not about getting the toilet bowl replaced, you can just call the BSC to get Rigel to replace it. I am more worried if the replaced, 'modified', toilet bowl will still be the same, then its a waste of time. Like one of our neighbour ghui that had it replaced three times and sometime still have the same 'backflow' problem. What we need is a new toilet bowl and that works well, i don't mind topping up if we can get a better model. Probabily if anyone is going to get the toilet replaced, i would also recommend using the dark soya sauce method and test it a few times before saying ok. Or better still use the 'soya bean paste' and dark soya sauce method as sepcified here http://www.cwwa.ca/pdf_files/freepub_6Ltoiletreport04.pdf
  12. Oh, almost forgot that term.. thanks for highlighting. Or probabily it means Suffer In Silence, Pekchek and Endless Complaintss in this case.. btw, T3 now uses Rigel urinals.. wonder why.. it quite obvious they have no idea of the technical side of the toilet bowl, just the look of the profile makes me sick. Somemore Singapore is the country that initiated the World Toilet Organisation..
  13. I have both toilets replaced once (one day per toilet) taken me two days and once have to rush back from airport. After replacing, they just do a test with the toilet paper and determined its ok. But actually both still does not flush properly if you do 'big business'. SISPEC, well, i can only remember the Suffer-In-Silence part, as for the PEC, forgot liao. As i once requested for a petition in renotalk and singaporebride, but seems like not many people have the problem (only four of us) or not responding. So as to how to go about getting the correct action (and not to just keep changing the toilet bowl), what can we do? All suggestions are very very welcomed! Come to think of it, if it is so difficult to get it work right, spending all the time and effort, might as well spend that few hundred bucks and have it replaced. save time save money save headache. Sorry that i emphasize on the toilet bowl so much, coz when i comapre to cheap hotels in places like india and china (e.g. cheap brands like China Standards, Aihua, noname etc) works better than this.
  14. Thanks will check that out, any contact person or address? It should not damage the tiles as the toilet bowl is supposed to be fixed to the ground with silicon or 'pe he'. Can be taken off without marks on the tiles if cleaned properly. That is how they replaced my toilet bowl with a 'modified' one the last time... well its still not working well as i mentioned before. Seems like actually alot of us is having the same toilet problem. and seems like most of us (including myself) prefer to suffer in silence and do our own remedy... are we all from SISPEC or what?
  15. sounds like a good bargain. Still remember i bought the 37" PX5M from AV for S$2150 nett without the wall bracket last year aug. It was a bargin at that time... thinking of adding a lcd in the bedroom, but fengshui says otherwise.. anyway, now budgeting to replace the stupid toilet bowl.. any good recommendation besides Toto? anyone installed washlet?
