hmm, i think hor furniture is more or less the same.. unless u ask ID for modern home design n u looking at resort theme furniture then that perhaps will be totally different right? for our case, we shop around.. note down stuffs that is within our acceptable range n budget. usually for 1 particular item, i will have a few design.. so i will just consult the ID. most importantly, u need to know the spec.. like length of sofa and dining table. My frd went shopping with me, had a diff time looking for sofa. Those she like is 2.8-3M but her ID advise can only accomodate 2.4M based on floorplan whereas for mine.. must be 2.7-3M so we target on this criteria to shop Meantime , waiting to see 3D drawings... so when time comes for furniture shopping, we do where to go Yah is so maifan and time consuming. you can start looking around.. for ideas too So have u confirmed what kind of style or theme your reno will be?

That is the contradicting part. Young Couple with High pay no saving , cannot get a HDB and cannot afford to buy a condo/resale how to get married?? Other eligible for HDB, yet cannot get 1 easily from HDB.. have to wait for years for BTO By then even if get married, it may also be 3-4 years later... So at age 30 or more... then just start to settle down Govt still want to encourage and increase birth rate.... How to lor??? By 30+ want to have bb also difficult not to mention have more kids!! N seriously... if the standard is to have 3-4 kids.. and stay with parents n a maid the 5 room hdb will be very very packed! How to stay together... Dont factor in the cost of raising a kid.

Set a budget for your reno only, not including furnishing/appliances Set a separate budget for each individual pc of furniture you will need in you house, then start window shopping and you will be able to know if your budget fits your perference.... Hehe, we saw all the stylo chio furniture in the deco magazine... very nice but when we go window shopping, the price tag lagi nice!! My hubby almost got a heart attacked... he is not s'porean and never know abt all these he never know sofa, dining table can cost this much!! Sofa can go from $399 to $5999 or more. Of cos $5999 is what we like, but never be able to get it as its way over our budget You can go for 1 round of shopping, ask for catalog to bring home. or maybe get the picture from the website. Show ur ID the picture, they should be able to tell u if design is suitable. Next, ID will offer to bring u go shopping/custom-made furnture... then u can compare the prices before deciding

the tv console is susposed to be suspended on the wall below the window. My is a corridor unit, therefore window is nor full length. Not sure will there be a problem in future when i want to clean the window.. as LCD Tv will block part of the window

helo, in the 1st place, what is your maximum amount you will to throw in for this reno? and ID ensure 25k is well spent? Is it what you wanted and required and within your budget?? Eg. Most Id will tell assure that with 40k, my 5rm resale will turn out to be decent but the fact is i do not have a budget of 40K to start with.. hence i have no choice but to ask around for more quote base on a list of what is required and my meagre budget of 27K. By not share your quotation here.. item by item then i think the experience forumers will be able to tell you what is expensive and what is not. cheers

i think i would have fell off the chair too... im not experienced, but based on the few quotation that i have and some already shelved it away cuz its way over my budget i was quoted 1) $1100 for a 3m suspended Tv console. even if i ask for a full height tv console with rotating feature , it would be $1900 2) $1080 for a 6FT walk-in wardrobe ; your dresser is double the price of my walk-in 3) Shoe cabinet maybe acceptable, i was quoted $390 for a 3FT Dining table, $980 for a 1.2m.. with that price i can buy a 1.7m 6 seater at the furniture store hmm, maybe u can try blanco the price and send it to another ID, ask them to quote u the same things u will be able to know if that is the 'standard'

Heng me n hubby super thick skin de.. n i dun like my kpo neighbours.. for months they didnt want to talk to us super happy n thankful!! haha.. u harass CID ar.. i gave up on the police at that time. even my frd who is in the force, told me.. usually nothin can be done unless it keep repeating so my is nt so bad as yours as it happen only once

agree alot of nice food along the whole stretch of road. Used to work at the hotel area there.... sometimes will go near golden mile there for the herbal chicken soup for lunch the fish soup opp the hotel very nice. I heard there is a very yummy tomyum steamboat at golden mile itself... haben got chance to go there
