Any Recommendation On Where To Get The Mattress And Bed Frame?
charemme replied to goodman123's topic in Home Furnishings
Depends on your budget for the items. I have just order a serta King size mattress, add $699 for a bedframe the material of the frame can be change from cloth to syn leather at no cost. -
I saw another forumner has a similiar L-shape at $1200, and i quite like it... think im obsessed with that design. Hehe, tot of going down to look for yeak.. but lazy to go down to yishun recently. As i note from e forumn, its a ID firm but doesnt provide 3d drawing... i need some drawings aid Im sourcing for ID now.. reno will only commence in Dec 09. But As im gonna be busy for yr end.. i shall start sourching earlier... hehe (KS) Btw, i saw some furniture at expo show yesterday.. and im falling in love with some champagne gold furniture... so classy think im too fickled minded!

Hi GPP... I bet i must be the 1st to sleep in a kitchen right?! Hahaha, it so happen the previous owner constructed it this way. and as you can see.. its the MBR... i really cannot convince to give up such a Big MBR to sleep in the other bedroom. Thanks so much... to hear this advise from u. Its really so confusing to heard whole lots of hearsay from friends.. who also hearsay from others.
-
GPP, Its okay since Im unable to provide more indept details. But in general FS term, I understand its not right to sleep in a kitchen. But Is it the same if the kitchen has been converted into a room, the stove is no long there? We would want to sleep there, but was advised not to by friends, as they heard its not good to sleep beneath or above someone's else kitchen.

Oh Im left with very limited bed placement.. and i read somewhere when sleeping, its not good to face a window directly too... Not sure in my case, is there any way to resolve it.
-
Oh have, 2 sheeps... and i dont want it so change it for 2 pillows... and together with the existing 2 I used 4 normal pillows to exchange for latex pillows

Missouri is closed enuff, but somehow i felt a difference when i lie down. what u say quite true...

I have just placed a deposit for King size Sophiscation @ $3668, and bedframe @ $699 Total is $4367 and I got the following freebies - 2 x mattress protector - 2 latex pillow (exchanging using 4 pillows) - 1 bench - 1 bedlinen - 1 lucky dip

I have just place a deposit for a Serta king size mattress and bed frame. After trying on a few, im quite undecided between Missouri and sophistcation. Missouri is closer to my budget, which is selling for $2.6k+ after discounts while sophiscation is at $3668 after discounts. I prefer sophiscation as its really more firm and comfy for me, esp for my back problem. But the sales advise to book sophiscation 1st incase the price hikes by yr end, while i still have many mths to think if i still want missouri. I was given alot of freebies too ... happie!! So how?? Should i choose Comfort over Budget?? its a difference of $800-900

Hi Grandpapa Its really nice that you are sharing your knowledge here with us. Both me and hubby are notstrict follower of fengshui, until something 'unlucky' situation occur lasted for a year which associated with wrong placement of bed. Therefore we been worry about about the placement of new bed after our reno this yr end. Appreciate if you can help us on this. Part of my masterbed room used to be a kitchen. Even though its has been reconstructed into a bedroom, i wonder is it okay to sleep there now? The unit above and below are kitchen as well. This is how it looks like. My Original floorplan. According to our Kua (Mine is #4, hubby is #9) and Kua of House (face south), we have avoided placing bed on the west wall as we both suffered the effects of bad lucky already (previously). Is it okay to play the bed on the east wall after the reno? Current our bed is against the south wall, but space planning is really restricted if we continue to adopt that.

Clueless About Reno
charemme replied to charemme's topic in RENOVATION IDEAS: Interior Design Themes, Space Planning

Hi All, As im clueless about reno stuffs, I've decided to post my floorplan here and seek some sound advise. Welcome all ideas/tips and advise from all seniors here. My reno will on start only from end 2009, and I know im alittle KS.. but isnt it always good to be prepared in advance? This is my floor plan. Its actually a Jumbo corridor Unit of about 23 years. (1st lovenest ) At the moment, im still trying to figure the placement of my furnitures. We are intending do some reno as the house is in quite a shabby condition but we do have a budget constraints. Another reason, we should be selling the house in the future, so didnt want to spend so much on reno. Renovation To do List: Overlay laminate on all bedrooms and hall complete overhaul for two toilets and kitchen Tv console (living room) WIW Feature wall for WIW (cover-up) Change new door grills re-wiring (whole unit) installl windows grills (corridor rooms and halls) Optional (depends on cost): change windows (whole unit) hmm, that is all i can think of at the moment.
