We came across the same issue 2 yrs ago when we looking for a flat, some how I guess we are lucky to get a flat on our 1st application during HDB last WIS. and at a cheap price too. I do have friends who bought resale at $0 COV, but dont forget about Agent fee.. which is still a few K I do agree that is a bit tough for couples who are cash strapped. Back to worldangel's qns, i think you should consider factors 1) price vs the years you be staying there. (I dun mind paying more for a hse that will last me a lifetime 2) Reno cost 3) your financial situation for price of a resale and also reno 4) surrounding environment and neighbours, signs of ah long case etc ** I have kaypohs neighbours, and my hse was splash paint after the 8th mths** 5) condition of a house 6) location and accessiblity

Just to check, Beside Supreme AC5, what are other brands can we look into? Does Pergo Malaysian range cost about the same? I was quoted Supreme AC5 by my ID, but i was wondering what other brands are equally good? btw, i tot AC5 is from malaysia? @Linger 1 thing to take note hor. They work alittle different from other ID firm They will ask you to pay $1k deposit to appoint them to design and provide the 3D drawings. Which most people feel uncomfy about paying, me and hubby feel the same. Somehow, we decided to proceed and pay, after viewing the quotation and workmanship and space planning yesterday. As we also worry to go thru the convention way, pay 10% deposit and sign agreement and rec'd 3D drawings that are like 'nothing special' for our meagre budget.

Hi Reiki, I got a repurchased flat from HDB. previous owner also buy over part of the recess area (flat is a corridor , not corner unit) and reconstructed and combine two 3-rm unit into 1. Therefore, when i took over the hse, HDB label its as a 5-room, and it include the recess area. I'm literally crying in the office when im read abt Ruby from your blog, as im have 2 dogs myself.. I can feel the pain you felt. But im sure Ruby is blessed to have you and hubby for loving her Btw, i notice your flooring has gt no skirtings, and its really nicer with skirtings. Someone told with skirtings is better to avoid gaps. Is it True??

Yeah, place deposit and balance upon delivery. flexible, can upgrade or downgrade mattress model 2 weeks before delivery date. the model i wanted, check in this forumn. last dec 08 compare till now.. Im paying $300 more. Can confirm lamination before ID?? How to do it and is it cheaper???
