  1. Hi GMC, are you aware if this method can be used to plaster & paint the side external walls of an intermediate terrace? Is there a such thing as encroachment of "air space"?
  2. Thanks Lilian, GMC for your suggestions. But I can't use scaffolding so I'll have to consider a boom lift.
  3. Hi, does anyone know what are the options available for plastering & painting external walls besides erecting scaffolding? Thanks for any advice.
  4. Yes decided to get glass instead. Heard that acrylic becomes cloudy over time.
  5. Hi all, anyone used Acrylic roof tiles before? Any feedback on e.g. Durability, leakage, heat, noise, etc? Any other options? Thanks
  6. Hi all, Anybody applied for waiver of household (bomb) shelter? And if successful, did SCDF issue an official letter? Thanks
  7. Can I ask those who have installed autogates, which typically has more issues, a sliding or swing-out autogate? Some feedback I received is that the sliding autogate will collect debris in the recess where the wheel sits.
  8. Thanks to all for your advice. I've checked with the architect and builder, the boundary line is indeed part of the property. The reason why the owners didn't build a wall/fence on the boundary line was due to it being at the bottom of a slope. so I guess to save money (levelling it up with earth), they just left the fence as is (just at the top edge of the slope).
  9. Thanks yoongf. I need to do some checking, if not the land is wasted. Will update later.
  10. Hi all, Just asking what is a boundary line, because I saw a layout drawing which shows the boundary line further away from the house's rear fence. Thx. --------- Boundary line ---------|Rear fence (2M rear setback) ---------|Rear wall
  11. Wow, thanks pantieileen, yoongf. This is exactly the type of feedback I'm looking for, appreciate it. Yes, the contractor has recommended Lysaght with the 6 layer insulation. My initial concern was the it would be noisy when raining but he said that he has built a few houses using this and there were no complaints of noise due to the insulation. It seems Lysaght can come in various forms, curved or angled and some finishes can even look like tiles.
  12. Yes, thx. Quality is key, I'm hoping that someone who has installed Lysaght would be able to comment about the noise from rain with the 6 layers of insulation. May just fall back to tiles to be safe.
  13. Very good thread. For those who like Country kitchens, don't use tiles for the tops. Difficult to maintain and the tiles will chip.
