  1. Mine were transferred into small tins, still in my storeroom, taking up space only ... But it's useful in case you need to touch up certain small areas in future, not gonna buy a new tin just to touch up.
  2. Unless the purchase date is written on your warranty card, there's no way to verify when you bought the item. You can basically send it in anytime so long the model is still ongoing in the market. If asked for the receipt when you want to send it in for repairs, just say it's a lucky draw prize or a house warming gift, doesn't come with receipt.
  3. I got my fake flowers and plants at Concourse level 3... Quite a few different shops for you to choose, ask about the delivery charges before you commit if that is a concern.
  4. I bought my washer already, surprisingly, it's the cheapest at HN Millenia Walk after comparing prices with the rest.
  5. I agree with this, they were punctual and the delivery guys were quite nice and polite. I bought my dining table and study table from them, separate deliveries but both pleasant experience.
  6. tingshen, it's not PJ, it's AsiaExcel.
  7. I usually check out all the prices at harvey, Best denki and some other places, then they will be my last stop. They would usually match my lowest price if not better.
  8. tingshen, they have my address and phone. Have been ordering from them all these while, a bit paisei to cut them off. But he really got no case since he had given me the impression that the deal can only be confirmed when I paid a deposit. On the other hand, if he accepted my order like before without a deposit, I would really have no case to speak of. Anyway, my usual guy settled for me. He said small case since no payment done. There were worse instances of delivery all the way up to the house and they still got rejected.
  9. Have you been to Vivocity, One Raffles Quay or Marina Square? Those homo tiles with glitters are compressed stones, very nice, but more expensive than real marble or granite...
  10. I need to blast something .... There's this particular shop which I usually buy from, I just need to make a call, ask about the price, and C.O.D. next. This time round, the usual guy whom I usually order from wasn't around, so I enquired from another guy instead. After getting the model, price and confirmation, I was told to go down to make a deposit before they can send the item over. I said, I used to just order over the phone, and COD. The guy said there were a few cases of people ordering items and then rejecting them when delivery for whatsoever reasons. So it's safer to make a deposit first. That makes sense, but if it's my usual guy, he would have sent it over already since I ordered quite a few items from him before. So I said ok, when I'm free, I will go down and make the deposit. And the guy said he will do the "reservation" for me.. With the impression that nothing is confirmed since I haven't gone down to pay the deposit, I am free to shop around for more options and I got some new ideas. After some discussion at home, we decided to get another brand altogether. I promptly called up that shop to inform the same guy that I would want to cancel the previous enquiry/reservation, there's a change of brand/model. To my surprise, he insisted that the order has already been processed and I can't cancel it!!! On one hand, he said a deposit must be paid to secure the order, the next moment he said he ordered the thing for me already??? I would assumed that the deal is incomplete without a deposit ... What should I do now?
  11. Haha, if it's electronics like digi cameras with extended warranty, I will make sure it "dies" before the warranty matures... Another question, I think my base for the washing machine might be too small ... 600 X 600 EXACT, there's no allowance. Dimensions ((W×D×H) Net 596 x 550 x 850 Gross 673 x 662 x 890 For example, if the washing machine is this size, will it be able to fit? Does the net size refer to the WM itself?
  12. It will be cheaper, but it can be quite overwealming if you are totally new to renovation, especially if you intend to overhaul the entire house. For minor renovation, might still be possible.
  13. I've decided on a Samsung.. But it cost $549+$30 delivery at HN (But with 1+4 extended warranty) Another one of those "agent shops" offered $498 free delivery (But only 1 year warranty).. Is the warranty that important for washing machine? Does it break down on the 2nd year onwards? Any advice?
  14. I thinking of getting Samsung WA95UP Top load, silver nano. $549 (1+4 warranty) $30 delivery Free DVD player or phone... alice916, can you PM me the shops you mentioned? sounds cheap..
  15. I'm totally new to washer, first time buyer. Anyone using the basic 6.5kg LG model which costs $299? I'm thinking of getting something like that, advisable?
  16. I use Supreme's AC5 (the better grade), there's also the cheaper AC3. I wanted full house minus kitchen/toilets, but faced with "violent objections". hahaha. It creates the warm resort look, but they want to limit that to bedrooms only, they want to retain the cold homo tiles in the living room.. Personaly, I LOVE the feel of laminated flooring, I could have saved more back then to have them to overlay the entire house, it costs more (price of tiles, sand, cement) to hack off old tiles and install new ones. So far no water issues yet. I wipe them with a wet mop, I'm not too sure about stains yet, so far non of us ate in bedrooms, can't really advise you on that.
  17. Destroy your wall tiles and claim it's not there ? The cabinets were built in ... even without wall tiles, the walls will have to be flat and at least painted. Once you hack off the tiles, it's all grey and rough, it will be very obvious..
  18. The problem with white is that it will turn yellow for the water spots. I've seen it at a friend's place, his basin is made of solid surface, the area where the water drips has a yellow streak. It also stains, if you have a blue wrapper and you leave it there, the color will stain your white solid surface ....
  19. bernice, for your kitchen? Because it's high activity area, there would bound to be scratches on it, and it will show up as white scratches.
  20. Unfortunately, I wasn't the one who signed the acknowledgement form, I wasn't at home that day, and my maid handled it all. Since it was a technical issue, I couldn't get any decent help from the technical hotline either.
  21. I had 2 Philips TV and 1 LCD all my life, no problem so far until it died of natural death. Only complaint I have is the subcons engaged by Philips to install the LCD on the wall, they are crap. They left before they could ensure that everything worked fine, refused to return when I called them up again. The helpline is another joke altogether, this B**** over the phone simply replied "YEAH" when I asked if that's the kind of service and standard I can expect from Philips. After that unpleasant experience, I won't be getting anymore Philips products ever. To think that I have to bug Harvey Norman (the place where I bought my LCD from) to solve my LCD problem. Thumbs up for HN!.
  22. Not so bad to that extend I think? If not, what happens to those people who stays in there?? They will have to hide at home whole day, no need to come out already.
  23. JB has nice mooncakes, I think do a quick one? Just go City Square, buy and come out, don't go too many places? There are many incidents of crime lately, esp against those who drive..
  24. I was thinking of that too, past few years I've been buying those from Crown Prince Hotel, but last year they disappeared in thin air!?! I went into the hotel and ask, they said Long Jiang Restaurant closed down, so no more mooncakes as wel ... I can't seem to find any good replacement after that.
