the brownsection should be between my cement screeding (for living room) and the room flooring. supposedly to level the two floors. i hope they are not using BROWN.

Here are some updates! Our flooring done up yesterday. Skirting not aligned though. i'm also going to ask the contractor if he thinks we're colourblind. see this>>

i just got a quote for normal roller blinds (blackout) those cheaper ones at $8.50 per sq ft. total abt $1.9k after discount. dunno how many percent la.. the lady just told us she can give us some discount. the $1.9k is for all 3 bedrooms and my living room which has 2 sets of windows.

yah. i really do not want them to rush their work too. i'm not rushing them at all. i just want things done up properly. lol! yup.. agree. that's why we insisted on doors for our "bookshelves". so that can throw things inside and hide! jus4fun, you are right lo. so many things not done. but contractor ask me dun worry.. he say he target handover on 18 april. i myself gave him 3 extra days. coz i target to move in by 21 april. lol. lighting will be done up tomorrow i think. i'm taking half day to go inspect. carpentry wise, i'm not worried la.. coz then just bring over and fix up only. my room flooring done up liao leh. but painting not completed yet. so i guess they will lay the plastic sheets over. carpentry should be after painting. noted. meeting with contractor tml. ask him go and se my storeroom door. got ants on the door oso. swaskie, ours really abt the same time. lol. take one step at a time lo. better ensure the quality is good. yesterday they laid the flooring for the rooms... went ard checking.. saw some parts not done up properly. like under the aircon pipes. i'm going to complain to the contractor. tell him his pple think we noobs, never check on their work rite. lol. but so far he's ok la. got take in our "feedback".

abt 2 weeks. is that soon? sounds too soon. we target to move in on 21 apr. hopefully that's a good date. we din engage any FSM. saw ur place. love ur laundry area. but i do not think i'm capable of keeping it so neat and tidy. lol. too much effort. oh well...cant wait for my carpentry to be up! the colour paint oso not up yet. why is it that things are moving sooooooo slowly... and yet 2 weeks will be handover?!? i just cant see it yet. *impatient*

Thanks summer, jus4fun and ment0s for your replies. i took photos and sent to my contractor liao. he say he will come and take a look. i sent him these photos! My cables have been rectified to CAT 6. so that's settled. door lock, fridge and the "up down" hanger will be up/done this Saturday. hopefully. we're getting the EZ hanger. 6 pole at $438. not sure how good. but it's the lowest price comparing to all the other hangers... and this does wat we require. time passes so fast. 2 more weeks and gonna be handover soon. Here's what my place look like now.

Summer.. whay do you mean by wardrobe doors ? By bedroom doors I meant the doors of each bedroom. Your storeroom door is of different quality from your room doors? Thanks mentos. We chose classic doors. Im quite sure the quote is for classic door. Thats why thinking if storeroom door is of lower quality.

Im at my new place now. And I realised the storeroom door is of a lower grade than the other room doors. Is this standard? The storeroom door feels like just four pieces of plywood stapled together to form a hollow plank. I can see the staples and they are using plaster to cover up. Can anyone ley me know if their store room door is also like that? Or supposed to be same material and quality as the other room doors? Thanks all!

correction jus4fun. the rectification not done yet. he only agreed to do it. but i havent seen the changes. it's upsetting coz if we fail to see the "mistakes" then we have to live with it. the electrician also used wrong cable. we requested for Cat 6. but he already laid the CAT 5e wires. lucky we spotted it. if not, once sealed up, we wont know. and we have paid for Cat 6 lor. they charge us close to 1k to lay 2 panels of mosaic tiles. i expect some quality rite? i think what i'm asking them to amend is reasonable. the corners, they put white and white. black and black. so ugly. should be opposite mah. white tile then black tile. sighhhhhhhh...
