This time round must must must go to poh joo early and also get a storage heater. Wonder how much a 3 litre costs?!?! Anyone can shed some light on this?

Ideal House Id
lynzi replied to bubblepearl's topic in Renovation Contractors, Interior Designers & Suppliers Reviews
Mine is also from Ideal house though its not with Mr K. My reno is still going on as we asked for a slower pace. No hurry to move in yet. When we took the package its with 20ft kitchen cabinet, free kitchen sink and tap and free hob and hood. Now I heard the freebies have changed. So far am very satisfied with their work. Me and hubby have one thousand and one changes and questions but id has always answered us promptly even when its late at nite...hehe. My id also always revert to us when there is any prob or just an enquiry. Can refer to my t-blog for details. To me I don't find any problems with the 21 day thing as we told him to draft a few revised qoutations and redate it again...haha!! -
Wah...nice place! Been wanting to have plants but I'm afraid if they will die..haha. Nive sticker for the door u have there.

Thanks scoria76! Karen, I have pm u the details. So sorry for the late reply. Been coping with my morning sickness and dizzy spells ah. On 2 days mc. Tomorrow have to back to work...sigh. Scoria, what karen said is true. Both parties are in it together. Maybe your hubby is scared to know the test results. At first my hubby was like that too. But he changed his mind when he saw me crying everytime i got the red traffic lights. By then, we were even considering adoption. But before we go further, we really need to know if both of us are capable in having our own kids so he agreed to go see the doctor with me. Even outside the consultation room, he was still very sceptical. However after that, he said to me that we just have to try our best and pray that God will grant us our wish. Tell your hubby, going to the doctor does not mean u are going at it unnnaturally. It just means that you will learn more about your body so that both of you can do it at the right time and not just doing it blindly without hitting any targets. And also tell him, only using IVF or a surrogate mother is the unnatural way! Taking medicine or any supplements are just to help boost your body's overall health and increase your chances in getting a healthy baby. -
Been on 2 days mc. Tomorrow going back to work. Had terrible dizzy spells. Wanna know about my shopping trip? Went on Sunday with my id to buy lights and bathroom accessories. Went to Chelsea and bought our plc, white tubes for my cove lighting, lights for the toilets, bedrooms, kitchen, walkway and balcony. Had to part with $710! We still have our dining lights outstanding as I wanna get from another shop in Sembawang. That will cost me another 100 plus. Then went to poh joo. That's my 3rd time there and we were quite surprised cos there were only 2 salesperson whereas there were many customers. There was this 1 young guy who did not look happy serving and when we asked something he said they should have closed at 5 and yet by then it was 10 minutes past 5. Then when we asked for the price of the bowl sink with brackets, he took his calculator and pressed a few times then told us its $350. We were shocked!! During our previous 2 visits, we were qouted less than 250 for the same thing. My hubby and ID said better come back another day as it looked like he's more interested in closing the shop. So bo pian ah. Going back there early this Saturday to buy and also to Sungei Road to buy the 2 KDK wall fans. Went to Hoe Kee to get the rain shower set. Apparently, the one we wanted is out of stock. Must wait for the stock to come end of April. So we booked and paid for it there and then. Today hubby went down to the house as our id called him and said its urgent. The SP gas and heater are to be installed today. Initially, we wanted to place the gas heater in the service balcony. Then man said must hack our cornice from the walkway to the hall to the bedroom walkway to the master toilet in order for the piping to run. I freaked out when hubby called to tell me that. Luckily a few minutes later he said can install the heater in the toilet itself. Heng ah!

Thanks Allo and applefreak. Gosh...so many things to do to child proof my home. So where can I get that child lock from? Saw some houses juz tie their drawers with string or they tape with scotch tape. Looks ugly!
-
Wah...so many things to take note of. Sure homeowner, will reading soon. Today I'm extraordinarily tired and sleepy. Don't even have much energy to stand in class...sigh. Got my 1st morning sickness too. Horrible!

Oh...i very gong gong ah. Why must avoid any knocking, hammering, moving of furniture and painting??
-
Haha...been preoccupied wif lots of other things as u already know. My reno is going at a slow pace as I was the one who asked for it. Next will be electrical works, our false ceiling and feature wall. Maybe no more hacking, that's why quiet.

lynzi replied to Cabbage77's topic in Pregnancy,Parenthood and Education Matters
Ahnah, I have pm u the details. Karen, later when I'm having my free periods then I pm u ok! Yah, my hubby has no prob. Btw, the price is rather cheap. Homeopathy is a kind of self-healing. U eat the medicine that will help your body to target the problem areas and heal by itself. -
To the wonderful people here...thanks a lot for your good wishes! Oh gosh! I didn't think of making my house child safe. How do I go about doing this? Any tips anyone? Oh yes storeberry. I'm excited but nervous at the same time as its my first, don't know what to expect. Maybe you are rite homeowner. Maybe I should start reading baby books. Any recommendations? There are so many titles in the stores. Don't know which is comprehensive yet interesting. Haha warderz..its juz quite overwhelming me now as my house still needs lots of things to be ready. Not sure if it will be ready in time for me to move in this June. And now a baby. Guess its a blessing in disguise afterall.

Its this homeopathy clinic that I went to. Its somewhere near Eunos area. The doctor will aske u very specific and detailed questions about u and hubby. After the consultation then he will prescribe the medicine for u. It differs from 1 individual to another. As for me my problem lies in the white discharge. He said I had an infection that will automatically kill the sperms when they come into contact with the discharge. If you want, I can pm u the clinic details. -

To Karen, I can really empathise with you as I felt exactly the same way. Luckily my parents in law are the laid back kind. To all those people here, I have an announcement to make. I'm officially pregnant! I'm so happy and I hope my pregnancy will be a smooth one. Maybe to those who are TTC-ing, u can try homeopathy. I was recommended by my fren last month. After one month of taking the homeopathy medicine and having sex regularly during the ovulation days, I have conceived. At first, I felt some swelling at the chest area. I nearly gave up hope cos usually when that happened means I will be getting my menses a week after it. But the swelling persists and my period did not come so went to check wif my family doc and recieved the good news. -
Me and hubby will be shopping for our lights and bathroom accessories this weekend. Thank God for Good Friday. So exhausted at work. PEOPLE...PEOPLE...I have an announcement to make! I am officially pregnant after being married for 10 mths!

Been trying for a baby for 9 months. Tried so many old wives' tales. Even started counting my fertile days. Still the red light comes every month. Getting more and more upset each month. -
My engagement ring is 0.32 carat from Diamond Industries. My wedding ring is 0.5 carat from Lee Hwa and costs more as its platinum and custom made.

My first utilities bill was $70 but we have not even moved in or started reno yet. Hubby called s'pore power and they said man will come down and checked. In our next bill, we found that we don't need to pay as it had been subtracted from the amount they have overcharged us. The amount overcharged is enough to pay for at least 2 months. Me and hubby don't use much aircon at home. We prefer the fan though we do have aircon just for the really hot days. Even with the fans or lights, we will switch them off if we are going to leave the room for some time maybe to bathe or something. At night, we make it a point to switch off our electric kettle. Juz attended a fire safety talk in my school. The fire safety officer said its better not to put any electrical appliances like tv on standby mode as they consume extra electricity and also the number 1 cause of fire incidents at home. I also charged my laptop at work so even if I need to use it at home I won't use more electricity. We also have no dryer. Only depend on weather conditions to dry our clothes.
