Sould I Change Hospital?
lynzi replied to lynzi's topic in Pregnancy,Parenthood and Education Matters
Hopefully I won't need to go for csection. I did think of taking epidural. But after reading Dr miriam stoppard's book and seeing a detailed diagram of how its done I'm very scared. I'm the kind who is afraid of needles and thinking it will be at my back with a drip attached throughout my labour is rather daunting. -

Sould I Change Hospital?
lynzi replied to lynzi's topic in Pregnancy,Parenthood and Education Matters
My gynea is Dr shamini. Took her cos she handled my 2 close friends. 5 kids delivered by her. 1 of my friend had complications with both her sons and dr shamini handled it very well. That was why I was confident in taking her. And so far I had a pleasant experience at kkh since the private suite gives exclusive treatment. Yes the charges are slightly more ex than most private hospitals. The nurses have also been very nice. I also have the rationale that most women who are delivering will sure scream. But my mum and relatives pooh poohed my theory. Maybe I should just stick to kkh. Plus I heard even at private hospitals in the one bedder room u will still be served using the plates with compartments. In kkh the one bedder is served using corelle plates and utensils...hehe. -
Saw a very nice black glossy one at lifestorey.

I can't remember the name of the shop. Have to ask hubby. Will get back to u guys on the shop's name asap. If u do go to Kelantan Lane its the shop rite at the end corner. Yup, the one we bought are wall mounted and using remote control. One for the living room and one for dining room. Our house have a wide beam rite across the living room so we can't put those ceiling fan. We also needed wall space and wanted the living and dining to look less cluttered so we got the wall mounted ones instead. One is about 100plus. If u need exact figure have to ask hubby...hehe.My in laws been using it for years and they still work great. Me will be getting 3 more standing fans for the rooms soon.

Last few days i went to Private Suite at kkh for my medical checkup. That was my 3rd time there. This time round during scanning saw my baby moving around non stop. Was so delighted looking at its progress. However, after returning from the visit, some of my relatives, my mum and even my cousin who is doing her training now as a nurse at kkh said that the hospital is not good. My cousin said those in the maternity ward were left screaming. All of them said if its a private hospital then its better treatment. What do u think? As of now, I'm already taking the highest class in kkh. So confused.

Saw some cheap ones at Ikea. At Molecule also have several types. My hubby really wanted one that even has indentations to place the drinks in so that they won't spill as u push the trolley around. If u like entertaining, can even get one with a wine holder or ice bucket.

Haha...the one at the balcony must have been my dad as my father in law does not smoke. Yup they had to paint nearly every weekend cos of the wrong colour. Aniwei...latest updates. They have installed all my lightings. But have to patch up some holes on the false ceiling and feature wall as they drilled wrongly. So hubby have to do some painting touch up...haha. Then we discovered every time we tried to switch on the instant water heater, there will be a power trip. Looks like the heater is spoilt and we have to buy a new one plus a new sink for the common bathroom...sigh.

I bought my 2 KDK wall fans at a shop in Kelantan Lane for a price cheaper than in retail shops. My hubby did enquire about the price of the standing fan. Forgot how much it cost but definitely cheaper than in other shops. Think i will get the black one. Btw its a new model. Other shops don't even have the new one. In this shop if u get the old model its cheaper than the new one!

At first I thought of getting the KDK standing fan but seeing my hubby still sweating the past few nites even when the fan was on made us realised that the standing fan won't be powerful enough. Should i get those tower fan instead? They seem quite strong and cooling.

My kitchen cabinet was finally installed yesterday. Phew...wat a long wait. My tv console and the steel strips for the feature wall were also done yesterday. However, after installing the console me and hubby just realised that grey colour that we have chosen does not match my glossy black console. Yikes! :notti: We have to get a darker shade of grey. So...this weekend hubby and the fathers need to repaint the whole wall white again before applying the dark grey. Double work!!

Me and hubby went to lifestyle 21 at expo last saturday. We ended up buying our water feature there. We had it customised and still got it at the promotional price of $450....haha All inclusive of delivery and installation, lights and 4 plants. The size is ideal for our small squarish balcony. We have yet to confirm when it is to be delivered. Maybe after all the dust has been cleared.

deepakvali...apparently its the colour of the discharge and whether it itch or not that's important. If its whitish or yellowish or if it itches at times means there is an infection. Anyway, its good to hear dat ur wife is preggie. Scoria, u should try doing the check again. I'm sure it wil show a clearer result. Anyway, went for my first scanning last week. Was so excited to see that small blob...hehe. Tomorrow have to go kkh again as they think there is something wrong wif my hubby's blood test. -
Any Good Suggestion For Teak Based Furnitures?

U can try lokking at Wihardja. Have a few outlets here. Saw 1 in clementi the other day. -
Scanned my tummy yesterday. Wow, so fascinating. Its 1.8cm now. Something so small can grow so big. Can see its heartbeat. Seen the house. They have patched up the holes in the walls. Previous owner liked to nail frames to the walls. Some corners have also been plastered. Used to be uneven and chipped off at some parts. Me and hubby will most probably be getting our curtains in JB. My MIL said its cheaper there as she's used to buying her curtains in JB.

Last weekend hubby painted our house. Me stayed at home and didn't even show my face there. Lucky I did not go. They were painting the sealer first so had to add turpentine. From what I heard, the smell was rather overwhelming. Today's my bday! Received flowers at work from my hubby. Going off sch earlier today to have high tea at Carousel...yea!

Yup karen, I can empathise with u. Its really painful seeing other people's kids. My hubby and me ever questioned ourselves, how come those teenagers who are so wild and knows nothing about responsibilty always get their baby easily and then they don't even want the baby ...so how come we who are legally married and never fail to pray to God didn't get one. My hubby said not to give up hope. Wat ahnah said its true. The more stressed u get about it, the harder it will happen. Don't give up k. Give yourself some time to try out something. Sometimes a new method or medicine may take several months before it takes effect. Lots of baby dust from me to u and ahnah! -
Oh dear! Is it? Wasn't aware of it. Thought all paints now are safe.

Updates on my reno. Yesterday nite id called and said our ceiling works (the l-box and false ceiling) and our feature wall will be ready by this week. So we have to start painting before he install the lights. OH NO!! Suddnely we are rushed for time and have to paint by next Tuesday. Pored over the ICI book last nite and decided to paint all the ceilings, hall, balcony and service balcony first. The rooms we will paint at a later time. Hubby called my dad, my FIL and BIL to help this weekend. Me will just be the sup as I'm incapable of climbing nor strenous work...hahaha!

Krisietong...applefreak...homeowner...thanks for those helpful tips! Me shopped liao. Me, hubby and id went to the older looking poh joo..hehe. Bought 1 Joven 15ltre storage heater, 1 kitchen sink, 1 mixer for the sink, glass bowl sink with wall bracket, 1 double rod towel holder, 1 humongous towel holder (haha! ), 3 glass shelves, 1 round mirror, 1 black wc and 1 grey wc. It was so hard trying to look for a wc as mine requires a 4 inch one. Stupid HDB make so near. Only 1 brand at poh joo is 4 inch. Lucky have black. Heng ah! Total damages...$1300 of which $300 will be absorbed by moi' id. Lucky too on that day I wasn't feeling so tired. Even managed to go AKIRA building to see the sofa beds but the price range is way out of our budget.
