i tink is quite hard for kids to poke their fingers into it.. i tried myself.. i gotta use force (really forcefully) to poke my finger in.. i find it hard too.. kids may not hv the strength..

mm.. for me.. r using it in HK.. but my colleague living in landed property in the upper thomson area.. been using gas heater for 10 over yrs liao.. exactly how long he also forgotten.. he said no prob n said v gd too.. tats y i was so determined to get the free one.. hahaa..

accessories as in what accessories are there we need to buy? safe.. personal experience for over 20yrs using the gas water heater.. no complaints.. i feel v safe leh.. somemore come free.. and utilities bills shows per unit.. gas is cheaper than electricity.. i'll be getting the citygas 1..

mm.. for japan i dunno.. but in HK.. not true tat is cheaper to run.. cos the utility bill shows that gas is increasing in price n electric bills much more competitive n cheaper.. my dad (in HK now) doesn't use the gas cooker anymore.. he uses everything run by electricity as far as possible.. i think the only gas appliance he using would be the water heater during winter times.. cos only gas type really hot enough..

mm.. i dunno is it better.. but for me, i'd jus go for the free gas heater offering frm citygas.. the only con i can think of would be the "pomp" sound when u turn on ur hot water tap in bathrooms.. tat "pomp" sound can be quite loud n will scare off some.. hahaaa.. like my mom.. she didn't expect the sound to be so loud cos our gas heater in HK is quite silent or jus a soft "pomp"... hahahahaa.. btw.. she heard the citygas one frm her colleague's new house during the housewarming..

gas water heater is v safe.. in sg is not as popular as electric ones cos gas water heater was mainly for very hot water to be used in winter.. in HK.. we used more than 20yrs n it has nvr failed to perform or neither any mishap happened.. the only thing tat has to be sured.. is the airflow.. 空气一定要流通.. in HK usually the back of the heater are sticking out of the windows.. but HDB here hv the law that cannot install anything protrude out of the window.. so tats y our heater is inside the house but near to the windows.. to allow better airflow.. hence.. i don't think is safe to conceal it if u decide to install the gas water heater...

oh! thanks owens_avenue! those transparent covers on the switches are meant to be there for us ma? then is quite good la.. indeed safe n easy to wipe off if oily.. n i was thinking if the water heater put there.. can't hide it even if i making a partitions for the laundry liao loh.. looks weird leh.. it is the immediate thing i see when look into the kitchen frm its entrance..

thanks OnePostWonder, that pattern looks ok on its own.. but it is such a small tiny ting in the middle of the tile n once look on the overall of the kitchen tiles.. i just cannot feel ok anymore.. but thanks for enlarging the tile design! i got 2 Queen Sized mattresses.. do u think I can fit in MBR n Bedroom 2 nicely with walking spaces?

Green, shld i congrat u or not.. on 1 hand am happy that ur bf finally understands n stand by u.. but on the other hand.. feel really really sayang to let go tis place.. if i'm not wrong.. the Jurong balloting site is not v near to the mrt or the shopping malls.. transport will b quite tiring as i know the buses frequency not tat gd n many ppl at rush hours.. n the coco smell.. may b not tat strong liao since is not so near.. yet.. i somehow understand y ur bf feeling down.. nonetheless.. relationship is always much higher priority than material tings.. u can look for better house or location 5yrs later.. but 如果搞到家不成家, 一夜之间伤了和气, 也太不值得, 也真的是说不过去.. hope the same prob will not repeat again in your next apps.. wish u all the best..

ya green, i agree with nemofc... cos nw tat ur bf willing to give in to u.. can i say tat he's now willing not to stay with his parents? if so.. can tell HDB tat the parents will not moving in to tis unit n not selling their current place.. so cannot let go tis unit.. jus remove parent's name frm occupiers.. shld b ok bah.. cos they r not listed as applicants..
