same here.. renov payments in 10-40-40-10.. soon gg to pay our 1st 40%..

i tink is my own mentality bah.. cos white surface being easily show any traces of dirt.. i'd pick up any hair or clean up the spills immediately once I spot it.. but for grey probably will "hide" the little tiny traces n i'd be too lazy to clean it after some time.. black is cos scratches can be super obvious very soon.. so not quite a lasting look for someone clumsy like me..

mm.. actually.. white is much easier to maintain than black.. or another easier color would be light grey.. but light grey solid surface not much choices.. n i don't like "pebble" pattern.. prefer plain full color as much as possible.. when ID open the catalogue of Samsung Solid Surface.. only 1 caught my attention.. which is the only shiny white 1.. even the black 1 has obvious dot dot dot designs.. quite a no-no for me.. hehee.. if u r daring with colors n contrast.. i tink a white worktop will make a very stunning contrast with your black sink!

mm.. seriously.. on tat day.. no need to rem wat procedures follow by wat.. cos officier will tell u wat to do.. jus make sure u bring your appointment letter, bank book (the acct u gonna do GIRO for future deduction of ultilities bills, etc, or if your acct has no bank book, they able to do it with your ATM card as well), IC, ATM Card (in case not enough cash, ATM just round the corner, officier able to wait for u.. no hurry).. n the very FIRST STEP n ONLY STEP u need to really really remember.. take a Queue No (scan your appointment letter at the self help kiosk is much faster than queueing, there is a small barcode in the corner of your appointment letter 1st page).. wait for your turn and after that will be all guided by the officier.. my ID told me tat for minor defects, he can actually start reno works 1st.. let HDB take their time to do it after tat.. but for major defects.. like hollow tiles (possibilities of dropping down).. cracked tiles need to change.. etc.. then hv no choice gotta wait after HDB's actions..

wow! i tink S&S view superb as well!! hehehee.. for me.. the only fireworks i can see would be from the mt faber.. u know early tis yr or last yr.. mt faber has firworks on the 2 towers? i can sit back n relax on my living room sofa look straight out to enjoy the fireworks from mt faber towers.. hee.. if they're gg to do it again! hahaa.. n nope.. not tat lucky to get the 30/F.. anyway.. 30/F doesn't hv so much sea view i guess.. abt 10% lesser.. hahaa.. ok no diff la.. jus tat i didn't get it.. haha.. but m very very very 101% contented.. very very superly HAPPY abt my new place too! haha!

wow wow wow!! hi all my dear future neighbour! sorry i been missing for more than 1 week in this thread.. n so so so so much to catch up man! i collected my keys on last tues.. n dear BLK26D neighbour.. a BIG HELLO to u.. cos i can look into all the rooms (YES! all the rooms, incl living n all 3 bedrooms) LOUD & clearly.. hahahaa.. it is real near.. look at this lucky for us.. it is only the small side window need to keep the curtain down whole year round.. but for the the other units facing each other.. all gonna like tis.. same case.. a bit more headache.. we gave up on knocking the tiles in toilets n kitchen.. simply cannot figure out what's the difference in the sound.. sigh... all n every tiles sounds the same loh.. so we jus trust they all perfectly fine.. stupid defects like 1) cracked bolts (do u call tis bolt or wat? i hv no idea.. my bf says jus call it bolt lo.. haha) 2) the rubber (for the handle to clip on 1) install on the wrong side.. causing scratches on my window frame 3) holes on wall.. i hv no idea y there r holes.. 4) electrical socket unstable power supply.. hv to keep on adjust the plug or try my luck on the switch to get connected 5) the bolt (or screw, watever) that "+" became a "o"... no screwdriver on earth can b used to unscrew it.. 6) cracked socket with big gap n ugly grouting which they tried to "glue it back" only able to find the abv 6 points.. no much defects..

finally, got the keys finally, opened the door finally, enjoyed the non-stop breezes coming into the house finally, wowed at the great scenary i hv in the new house finally, selected floor tiles for living, dining, foyer and passageway finally, selected all the lighting fixtures finally, selected hood & hob finally, submitted the form applying the cement screeding finally, tried and tested all water outlets and electrical outlets (1 3-pin points is faulty) finally, found and marked down some of the defects finally, got the revised designs from ID finally, got the revised additional costs for lightings & change of materials from ID n finally, u can go on and dig for more pics n descriptions in my yahoo blog

totally agreed with gadgetgal.. me too been long decided to get the city gas heater.. since it is free n gas is always cheaper than electricity in sg.. i saw 1 of the 4rm (90sqm) already installed the heater liao.. with the pippings on the wall.. not nice n very messy (cos hvn't paint to the wall's color yet).. n heater is quite high.. quite far from the U-shape.. which makes that area even more messy.. my ID said the U-shape can be taken out.. but will left with 2 knobs on the wall still.. sigh.. but i guess 2 knobs is easier to hide than the big weird ugly U-shape there..

mm... i'm no pro in bartending.. but tried mixing with a few things before.. mine was a tropica flavour if i'm not wrong.. the other 1 was lychee something.. both were red bottles.. jus slightly different in tone.. anyway.. for a sweeter taste.. u know the fruit tree aloe vera apple juice.. haha.. to me is best to mix with the aloe vera apple juice.. and get a pack of lychee nada de coco (the lychee juice depend how sweet u want.. discard the rest).. then u'd hv a big bowl of cocktail! hahaha.. or simply add sprite loh.. hahahahaa.. or when times i wanna less sweet.. i mixed with ginger beer (ginger ale).. got tried to mix with bitter lemon tonic as well.. also not bad.. quite unique taste.. i like.. hehee..

hee.. thank u greycat & cantona.. actually apart frm happy & excited.. i'm v super duper stress abt the $.. can't get into sleep at nite.. insomnia again le.. all those previous visits to HDB n calculation we did with the officers.. now it is no more telly with the latest letter that inform us to key collection.. it stated how the sums will b done, n in a quite messy way.. i took some time to figure out what is what and which deduct which then derived the final figure.. etc.. then bee joy (1 of the SERS neighbour) had the same problem as me.. got different figures when they were collecting keys and was told by the officer many others walked home w/o able to sign the paper due to insufficient funds.. i m super stress.. cos i gotta die die make sure we have the sum n figures right in order to have sufficient funds to collect our keys.. i'm the only 1 to deduct CPF.. papa is only available frm 13th - 18th in SG.. airtix booked n can't change schedule already.. even if i need to pull out investments in CPF also not enough time now.. ARGH...

BUT on the other hand.. yest nite my insomnia relapse.. cos my previous calculation on the loan repayment amt is somewhat different from the latest letter i got from HDB.. n i spent quite some time to figure why n redo my maths.. n in my head.. i keep tinking abt the $ n maths.. dunno what's the repayment preiod i shld take up.. 30yrs seem too long.. 20yrs gotta top up cash every month.. just nice amt no need top up cash would be 22yrs.. 22 seems a v odd figure.. dunno can b done or not.. aiyoh.. scare later make wrong decision.. if maximise the amt of OA contribution.. wat if recession again n pay slash.. then will not b able to pay up the monthly installment.. aiyoh.. v complicated for a simple minded me... *headache*
