mm.. depend on individual's level of noise tolerants.. cos me.. being brought up in a noisy env.. my place in HK used to hv a bus interchange directly next to my block.. less than 50m away.. haha.. so i'm very immuned to the traffic noise.. hence i don't really feel the traffic when i was at my place.. frm 9am - 7pm..

ya me too.. mine was dirty cos i opened all windows at home yesterday.. n the door contractor guys were there to install the door frame for me.. so was very dirty.. but after tat we cleaned up our place.. nite time b4 gg home we shut all windows.. n today we went back.. place is still ok.. not dusty le..

FC has finally reached my place! i'm a very satisfied customer! the 2 delivery guys were both nice n frenly.. handled everything with care.. installed nicely.. n even when we changed our minds on how the full glass dining table to be put.. need to change.. they still smiled n said is ok nvm.. n changed the position to our liking.. n most imptly.. cos i hv 1 big full glass dining table, 1 full glass coffee table, n my tv console also hv 2 glass shelves.. it is not easy to move ard n very fragile... nevertheless.. they handled everything with extreme care like moving their own home items.. i was very impressed with their service level.. EXCELLENT!!

oh binzz.. like tat ah.. then i tink mine can't be done le.. cos sure will hit the circuit board.. i got no add on feature wall to cover the circuit board.. n my sliding door can fully pushed to the side where jus next to the main door.. but thanks for digging out the pic!

haha.. ya.. our unit's direction is facing either south-east or south-west.. so no prob in getting the wind.. binzz.. urs shld hv wind too.. even no wind.. one shld not feel extremely too hot neither.. so no worries.. hee.. simpleboi.. then i tink i wasn't not looking at your unit le.. haha.. been seeing this grill for almost a month le.. haha.. paiseh..

kao.. i tot i was the only 1.. looks like not.. my kitchen sliding door.. also can't close 100%.. n i did studied the area for a while.. concluded either side hv to go slant.. cos the problem lies with the lousy HDB walls n corners!! so angry.... n the painting.. mine sucks a big time too!! even push blames.. the paint stained everywhere n the painter also said not their faults.. was stained by HDB... kao.. i almost wanted to dig out my pics i took on the day of key collection.. where got so much stains? hv la.. but not tat much either.. but since i can't denied the fact tat i didn't really get a 100% clean windows.. i didn't insist.. n carry on pointing out the stain on the tile skirting.. painter push blames n said tat was not pain.. is the grouting materials.. ARGH~~! n my walls edges was not a straight line too.. sigh..

huh? can.. but will hv tat gap loh.. but binzz's id more clever.. help her solve this prob.. i hv yet to c her id's magic yet.. she was too busy to take pic while i was too busy to go her place.. hahaha.. may b u can check with binzz too.. tink hers could b a better idea.. mine is a 4rm.. i guess no issue is a real issue.. money is the only issue.. when budget concerns.. it is only id wants or doesn't want to help u tink n solve it.. .. sometimes when i tink of it.. sort of understand la.. to them.. they also want to solve all issues n make a really dream home for the clients.. so they can b proud of their works n feature on mags.. but they hv to ans to their boss on the costing wise.. unless the clients willing to pay.. or the boss willing to earn less.. otherwise.. they hv no choice but gotta cut down on their ideas in order to meet both ends happy..

ha! it was NOT fun at all.. in the morning.. the washing uncle helped me got rid of the stains.. washed the living room floor.. wiped my room's laminates.. this was thanks to lance for arranging a better uncle to come wash my place again.. cos the previous guys were lousy n were not really doing their job.. so lance said he would feed back to company n black listed this vendor.. then he arranged another uncle (who worked previously with them n knew their standard well) to come for a last round.. thank god.. this uncle was nice n hardworking.. really did his best n clean my flooring till so clean.. BUT.. not even half hour.. the place got dusty again.. while my mom was wiping her wardorbe.. i wiped (not mop hor) my mbr floor.. then finally when my bear came up with lunch.. we filled our stomach n then continue on the cleaning.. however.. u'd tink by then wil hv 3 of us cleaning right.. holy WRONG! i was sweeping the kitchen floor.. n sensed that someone is watching n so i asked.. "为什么你看着我扫地?"... "我陪你嘛!"... kao! where got fun? where? when i was diligently sweeping.. instead of a helping hand.. i received a pair of monitoring eyes.. sigh.. tat's my bear.. wat to do.. shld call him king ah.. we all really maids lo.. but today gotta give him back some credits la.. he helped carry the heavy toyogo storage racks.. n installed them.. quite heavy stuffs.. he turned a sweaty bear then.. haha.. this has to thank him la! n my great fren, mwpoon, too.. helped installing with my bear.. but hv'ing "less cushion".. i tink he wasn't perspire tat much.. haha.. mwpoon.. tis is a compliment leh! hahahaha.. really thank u guys for helping out!

neighbours & frens.. i'm typing tis with dead tired fingers.. so sorry.. m v v busy with all the waiting n cleaning up.. sweep non stop.. mop non stop.. scrub non stop.. pack non stop.. so i may not b loggin so often or reply s fast.. n may not b able to meet up with lots of u.. if i ever "fly u a areoplane"... so so sorry.. will invite all my renotalk buddies here on 1 same day for hsewarming ya! right now.. i can only say.. sorry..

yes congrats to all jus got ur keys yeah! 100-million% agreed... HATE the lousy workmanship.. none of the walls is smooth.. none of the corners is 90deg.. none of the walls is straight.. when u open ur door for the 1st time.. u'd tink is great n nice.. BUT once u paint ur walls.. installed lightings n switch them on.. the walls r worst then 李国煌's face.. n all these little details affect ur tilings, carpentrys, paintings, solid surfaces, SUCKS a big time!! but then again.. ppl still willing to pay condo prices for lousy workmanship places.. jus for the location.. so.. i'd take it as a blessing in disguise.. we're still the lucky ones!

won't shake leh.. cos the top still hv hole n lock.. i lock the top part actually enough le.. not really shaky.. but personal preference la.. depend wat u like.. if really feel safer then better drill the hole back on the floor loh.. else u will always feel insecure then no pt right.. heehee..

mm.. mine too.. after the tiling done.. no more holes there.. my fren brought it up n ID asked us to decide.. n i tink thru.. i prefer no holes.. cos the washing by town council usually will splash in a little n dirt might trap inside.. s days go on.. dirts built up n wat if breeding mosq. n kana fine by govt... i tink may b i tink too much la.. but anyway.. i dun want tat hole on the floor.. haha..

mm.. my fren (frm m'sia) once took a train in sg.. saw this young lady standing (with a big "tummy").. naturally he gave up his seat n offered to this yound lady.. to his suprise.. this young lady scolded him back "i'm not pregnant lah!".. she stared at my fren for a second or two then walked off to the next cabin.. he was like ....... wordless....

hello moonbell, hahaha.. ya ya.. is either u shift those points inside the kitchen so u can hv it slide in the kitchen side (in between the fridge n wall) or hv tis gap to give way to the circuit board n slide on the foyer side.. or totall scrap the idea of a sliding door.. hv a casement glass door.. but for me.. i tink should b ok since i bought a 1000m3 suction hood.. shldn't hv too much issue on tat little door gap.. hahahaa.. thanks to happy for praising.. but cos "siu" is my middle name.. so naturally i'd see "siu" as "小" rather than "靓" ... hahahaa...

hi nemofc.. i guess.. hv to depend how much do u trust the contractor's carpentry work.. if u worried.. then get the sink area done with concrete.. concrete def last (near/almost) life time.. def is strong enough to hold anything any weight.. regardless of water/moisture.. but i guess i'm in no position to give advice.. cos i didn't do any concrete support in kitchen.. hahaha.. n if u ask y.. i also hv no idea.. jus nvr cross my mind tat i need a concrete support.. until i read this concern in the recent threads.. haha.. *scratch head*..

simpleboi, for my case.. they drill n install all the aircon pippings done the trunkings.. installed lights then start the painting.. even thou.. ID said that is still not the final coat yet.. n follow by the aircon units.. then room's laminate floor.. then wardrobe up.. then will see wat r the things need rectifications.. when everything ok.. then paint the final coat.. then will see where else not satisfy n try to help me with it.. etc etc..

mm.. each has it's pros n cons.. sama sama.. no such ting s tis is better than that.. cos glass u'd risk breaking it.. thou easier on the cleaning part.. but talking abt the cleaning part.. i rem someone (was it binzz?) mentioned tat contractor teached to use veg oil on kitchen paper to wipe it clean n shine on s/s surfaces.. i hvn't personally try it yet.. so still .. but s/s def won't shatter like glass.. 100% sure on tis.. hahahahaa.. anyway.. on the colors of glass... yes... basically is jus a layer of spray paint (contractor said is called 水漆) at the back of the glass.. so from front.. u c as colored glass.. mine will b a black 1..

hello happy.. no prob.. bring ur mom along la.. then my mom can chat with her as well.. haha.. btw.. wat's ur mama's dialet ah? haha.. skali can't converse.. hahaha.. anyway.. my sliding door pelmet is up.. has a little recess shelving on the right side (abv shoe cabinets).. finishing.. looks quite good.. thanks to lance.. but i tink i hate china constructions more.. when the wall is not straight.. the shelves n pelmet followed the walls.. the sliding door can't fit nicely when closed.. there is a very thin gap.. but ok la.. camera can't even catch that thin gap.. 那就算了吧.. thou the black tape still hvn't tear down yet.. still cannot see the 100% finished white door.. anyway.. for those still contemplating abt the sliding door.. may b u'd want to consider this gap.. picture taken from inside the kitchen when the sliding door is closed.. tis is to give way to the main circuit board on the foyer side..

oh! happy.. i'm not doing any shower screen.. both toilets in my place will b using shower curtains.. n will b getting the cheapest $2.90 shower curtain frm ikea will do! hehe.. the rod i'm thinking to hunt for cheap ones frm kelantan lane or any neighbourhood hardware store..
