Things to share on switches which we did... I request for a 2 way switch for entrance light. Red arrow is to switch on the light when u can back from home at night, blue arrow is to switch off the entrance light. So that u no need to go back to the entrance to switch off the light. The green arrow will be the little foyer that ID will personally be doing the pebble wash for us. Notice the power point on the left side of the photo? I put a switch there for fan, steamboat cooker or for vacuum cleaner to vacuum the stairs or dinning area. Another 2 way switch for stairs. 2 way switch for lights (red and blue arrow), 2 way switch for storage heater (green and pink arrow)

Yahoo!! Handover date!! After 80days of long wait... Gaps at the door frame have patched up and damaged laminate flooring have replaced. Taobao's order via Amcon have also arrives today. Since ID still need a week to touch up and do the pebble wash for our mini foyer, we will only open the boxes next week.. Wifey say if I got 100 likes for this Tiffany blue kitchen cabinet.. She will cooks me a candle light dinner wor... she thought Renotalk is Facebook meh? Kitchen view from fridge area..

Another tips for u. U can ask ur contractor to finish one of the room (ideally in level one) first, incase ur contractor delay (touch wood), u still can put ur things in that room to save on the storage.. Always plan ahead incase there hiccups.. Hope it helps..

9 more days.. I help u countdown.. Must press contractor when date is near. I went down on site everyday this week just to ensure things are done correctly and speed up the process.

Congrats! Finally finished the renovation. U can start to clean up ur place le.. If everything goes smooth, I should get my unit tomorrow.

The Tiffany blue really turns out well as glass backing. 3Dyms, in fact our kitchen is not white. It's light silver, just like the Tiffany's ribbon. I borrow the box from my wifey to do colour matching. Personally, I find the sliding door in level one very useful. Take note when the sliding door open, it does not hit any pipes and the dimension so that the door can open fully. Hope it helps.. Good luck for ur renovation.

Painting not complete and Kronotex flooring replacement no date yet. Suppose to do chemical wash, but was postpone to tomorrow as whole place is too messy. ID told us tomorrow can handover wor. Well.. Looking forward to tomorrow... Oops.. I mean the workmanship quite rough. The joining parts on the laminates not that fine, 收口 not that good.. Overall still can pass lah,..

Hi 3Dyms, FYI if ur seller is taking bank loan, sometimes lawyer may need a longer time for bank redemption. Assuming u left 8 weeks for renovation, it's better to tell ur contractor 7 weeks & give urself another week buffer incase contractor delay. Initially I told my ID I need the house on end Mar (which is more than 10 weeks including CNY), but till now (12 weeks liao) still have not complete. However, hope u can try to negotiate for 6-7 weeks completion during ur 1st appt.. Good luck.

Feature wall with ready-make TV console. Initially we wanted to do round edge for TV console, but ID told us have to top-up for doing round edge. So we buy ready-make TV console and incorporate into the feature wall.. Granite is here today. But do a shorter width for the master vanity. So they have to redo another piece.. Parquet guys came this afternoon to sand, stained the steps... Will vanished the steps tomorrow together with the wooden handgrip. Notice the laminated tempered glass railing? Still not here yet.. 8| Tiffany blue glass backing finally here. Again... the glass backing on the left was measured wrongly and need to rework again... Yahoo! tomorrow is the handover day... Have been there from morning till evening to see the progress.. Wardrobes for both bedrooms. There are two groups of carpenter (but from the same company) to do the carpentry work. Kitchen cabinet and breakfast cum bar counter is by one carpenter with a worker, the rest is a senior carpenter with three workers.. So far, the workmanship of the senior carpenter is not bad.. but for the other carpenter.. so so nia... workmanship a bit rough.. Master bedroom wardrobe and TV console cum study table. This photo was taken yesterday.. notice the corrugated paper just place it on the floor without properly cover the laminated flooring?? This is the result for not properly cover the laminated flooring... both master bedroom and bedroom 2 have scratches.. Kronotex salesperson says they need to take out many pieces and might need to remove the wardrobe if they need to access. He recommend using patch method, as shown on the right side of the photo... I asked him, if this is ur house, can u accept? I will leave it to my ID to solve this problem... Custom-make altar.

ment0s, u should feel better after u hear my story.. Today I went to my place to see the job of the sub-con. Went to my level one common toilet, I saw yellow liquid in the toilet bowl.. Wahlau eh.. Sub-con use liao must flush mah... Then when I went up to my master toilet, Kaoz! Yellow liquid all over and never flush lor!! My glass railing will only be ready on Wed morning, so I gonna keep my finger cross for zero error as after the glass railing is up, still got wooden handgrip.. So many things not done yet, really don't dare to think if ID can handover on Wed 10th Apr. Well.. Let's wait and see ba..

I agreed with what ment0s have said, think ID / contractors have too many projects on hand and they cannot concentrate on each project. On top of that, sub-con is also rushing to complete jobs and tendency to leave many mistake behind.. For my renovation, sub-con keeps delaying and personally I have stop a few major errors that I have notice on site. Imagine if I never notice, will take a longer time to rectify the errors and handover date delay further. My renovation job stops from (05 Feb till 19 Feb) due to CNY and I have to call my ID ask when are the workers back to work then I manage to see ONE worker the next day. Then I found out, other workers are starting job for other job site, as not enough people. During the whole month of Mar, also not much things done as sub-con are rushing other jobs to handover earlier. Ment0s, when is ur handover date?

After 75 days of renovation... Master bedroom wardrobe and dressing table. Special request carpenter to open the top of the wardrobe and another panel will cover the two holes. This will be an access panel incase there is sweating or leaking in the aircon trunking. Sliding door will be up by tomorrow.. Almost all my aircon trunking his hidden by carpentry or partition, so can hardly see any trunking in all my bedrooms. TV console cum study table in our master bedroom. Shoe racks. I have request carpenter to leave some space behind the casement door for ventilation. Balcony lights. Hmm.. cannot locate the switch for balcony and living room, so lights have not tested. Will check with ID tomorrow. Only 3x10W LED downlights in kitchen and our mini yard area and its bright enough.. In fact maybe 2x10W LED downlights will be also bright if spread slightly apart..
