The wait is over! The Montella finally deliver KUKA sofa to us today... No doubt the quality of KUKA sofa is good. But my 2 cents worth of advice if any bro or sis wanna RISK to order from The Montella.. 1) Give urself at least 10-12 weeks lead time for the delivery. 2) Never pay full deposit. Sales person initially request us to pay full upon confirmation of order, but we nego for 50% deposit. 3) To have a strong heart. Expect "Murphy' law to happen". 4) Be patient and keep chasing for ur sofa. KUKA sofa Our matching TV console and coffee table.. Another view of our living hall. Lady owner enjoying the sofa. Initially, we wanted to custom-make TV console to match the altar. But ID say if we want to do round edge, must top up addition $240 wor.. With the top-up, to custom-make a similar TV console will cost us $1200!! So we give up the idea to custom-make and buy a ready made TV console and a matching coffee table at $1300 after a long nego with the salesperson. ID help us to sit the TV console inside the feature wall & make it looked like custom-make. Thanx potatoes. We keep the feature wall simple as it is 1st.. When boring le.. Can paint another colour or put wallpaper for a fresh look.

Thanx kooky. Bar counter is a small relax area for me & my wifey. Too bad she can't drink now.. U can also do some carpentry work, example a shelve to sit ur TV and to hide those wires. I used carpentry and partition wall to hide most of the trunking and wires in our place..

So far all furniture and electrical all deliver, ONLY left the sofa... Our mini bar counter. Wine chiller is sitting in a corner. Simmons Beautyrest mattress and bed frame with the freebies.. Does the TV console looks like custom-make? Its actually a ready make console, but we modify a bit for TV console to sit inside the feature wall. Left side is our custom-make altar. Samsung 55" LED TV mounted onto the feature wall, all wires are conceal inside. Remember to ask ur contractor to put a pull cable inside the feature wall.

The Montella delivery really ?!#%$¥£&@........ Today call to follow up on delivery for this coming Thur as committed by The Montella. The staff told me they not sure and they have to check. Afternoon, the staff told me, our sofa just reach SG nia, waiting to clear custom. So 2nd May unable to deliver, gonna push to 6th May instead. Kaoz!! I suspect their shipment is via sampan lor.. Mid Apr told me already shipped out from China by 20th Apr can reach SG port. But till today, then reach SG port? Hope we can get our sofa on 6th May.. Keep our finger cross, The Montella don't give us any more excuse for the delay again.. Tolong..Tolong.. Tomorrow our bed, TV will arrive..

Finally confirmed our TV today. Since our 1st choice Sony KDL55HX855 discontinued and we do not wish to top up $600 for KDL55HX955.. so we choose Samsung UA55ES7500 (it's a 2012 model), which we think its value for $. IMO, if u don't mind old model, u can bargin for a much lower price than a new model as dealer is trying to clear their old stocks. Now start packing up and slowly bit by bit move to our new place.. Yahoo.. next weekend can official move-in le.. Then will be waiting for our bb boy to arrive in Jun..

Tiler joined two tiles together for the shelving. Mitre joint is the tiles are cut 45 deg joint together. Below are some closer pictures of the shelving, hope it helps. I am using Philips LED down light with built-in driver (Purchase from Taobao), so far so good. Only thing is the down light only have round holder, no square type. Initially, I also concern about the built-in driver. After some consideration, I choose Philips (believe at least their QC should be better ba..) I did buy a few spare, if really spoilt, then change lor..

U can call May @ 93862818. So far used once to ship the chairs and table from China, service is good. To save the trouble in coordinating, we pay RMB $50 per link for her to order for us. Mine normal wall tiles le.. Even the sides are the normal homogeneous tiles with mitre joint. Schedule the furniture and electrical appliances to deliver tomorrow. The Montella, sigh... really kena from their bad delivery. Before we order, the sales person told us that the model that we order is in their warehouse and they will keep for us without any storage fee. But when I called last week to arrange delivery, they told me sofa will reach SG on 20th Apr. I ask them how come when I order, they say have stock now say stock not reach yet? They cannot give me an answer but told me can deliver as per my required date. Yesterday, they told me the sofa delay and can only deliver to us on 2nd May. Sigh... Gonna keep our finger cross for no further delay... Sony KDL55HX855 discontinued this model. Kaoz! Sales person recommend either to get Sony KDL55HX955 which we need to top up more than $600 or to get Samsung LED TV. Any Samsung model 55" LED TV to recommend? Anybody using Samsung 7series LED TV? Hi kooky, how's ur renovation? During my renovation, I also realise that many walls and ceilings are slanted. We use some false ceiling and built-in cabinet to make it visually unnoticeable. By the way, when can move-in?

We hope can move-in by end of this month. This week my furniture and electrical appliances arrive, hope no hiccups.. The chairs we bought from Taobao are good and also very good price. Water pressure for Grohe rain shower is ok..

Master toilet. Love the toilet.. We also purchase a LED crystal light for the vanity above the mirror. Very nice! But can't really see the effect from photo. Loves the Grohe rain shower too. In fact, there's a settee inside the shower area.. but wasn't capture in the photo. Common toilet. My mum loves the marble look alike wall tiles. Bedroom two. See no aircon trunking.. Bedroom three. Aircon trunking is just below the pillar, but it was plaster up nicely and painted over it. All aircon trunking are smartly hidden and cover up by the discussion with the aircon installer, ID and me.

Another purchase from Taobao... Adds a little colour in our plan balcony. Less than RMB $760 (exclude freight) for these.. Another view of living hall. We do the drawer storage under the stairs and a mini area with a door for bigger items. Staircase view from level one. Cove light (they are LED strips) is sufficient to lighten up the staircase area. ID specially tell tiler and glass sub-con to do a groove on the floor so that the laminate flooring can cover the whole floor without a small kerb to hold the glass railing. Master bedroom. Finally, today ID finished almost all the touch up and can handover the unit back to us. As of today 11pm (before I left the unit), ID together with his two staff are still clearing up the unit. Really appreciate the hard work by the ID and his team.. Below are the photo I took when he is doing the pebble wash. Gonna start cleaning up the whole place and will post more photos when the place is clean up. Most of my furniture and electrical appliance are schedule to deliver next week.
