Yesterday went EXPO buy cookie and chocolate, to give our neighbours and inform them of our renovation work (planned to start on 2nd week of Jan). Then wifey and I went HOME Planner to look see look see, end up we bought Simmons Arlington Plush (Queen size mattress) and Lison Divan set. Salesperson throw-in Simmons Mattress Pad (x2) and Simmons Deepsleep Pillow (x4) for us. Schedule to deliver in end Apr 2013. We also bought Akemi bed sheet (650 thread count). Looking forward to get our keys next week..

Think contractors / IDs are super busy with projects (so many BTO, SOBF and resale), many of them also rushing to handover flat before CNY. Many contractors / IDs got no time to quote or handle enquiries. During our selection of ID, we also encounter a few Ai Lai Mai Swah or no respond contractors / IDs. Ha..ha.. Agreed! Some well dress IDs really 中看不中用, can't even do a simple sketch. Sometimes by talking to them, u can tell are experience or not. Many of the IDs are only salesperson but they don't know much about renovation or how to do a nice 收口 for tiling or carpentry work. Good luck for your ID selection and renovation. If the dent is small, contractor can still sand off or they can used some paste to cover the dent, before varnish the parquet. Else, they can also removed the damaged piece with a new piece.

Hi split84, maybe u can try to blank / cover or put one corner those item which u intent to reuse.. For the parquet flooring, can ask your contractor to sand down and revarnish, it should looks like new. As for the countertop, think contractor can also polished the surface..
