its common sense to set the lift at 1st. mid and higher floor. its pretty dumb that sometimes all the lifts just go up at once. i believe this can be solve by programming the software. this is what they did for some of the older estate whey cant they learn from the past and improve? just like the sheltered walkway between 89 and 90. its literally useless when it rain. just like temasek polytechnic new campus. it flood whenever it rain cos it was designed by a ang mo firm from canada! they have no tropical rain and wind!

ive this question. why do the lift break down so often and why do high floor service lift need to pass through the lower floor too? doesn't this defeat the purpose of having high and low level lift?

is it the claypot stall. its not bad but can taste there's pretty lots of MSG inside and the stall attitude pretty bad. if you order fruit juice from the other stall enxt to it and not from the stall they recommended, they will be very rude. cos the recommened stall is run by same families members.

i asked my electrician to do a power point near the washing for me and the wire is down from the kitchen cabinet. only use it when washing dishes or when just need a small light source. its in T5 light. personally i like the area i work to be brightly lighted so its good for me. my kitchen is seperate into 2 section so its not a hassle for me to walk to the sink and on the light. LED light is good for wardrobe, maybe you might want to consider

black sure will make the space dark maybe having 2 lights might help and also having light above the washing sink might help too. making washing dishes better and at night if need go kitchen can just on the light above the sink.

lol. best is to use protector etc whenever placing hot items on the solid top or granite. there is pros and cons is using either of these. if using solid surface i would recommend better quality as if you use more polyster based solid surface you can see the effects of decfects pretty fast.

the white design can cater to top load too. if in future you need, get the dryer and mount it upside down on top of the top load WM so the dryer buttons can be easily access. from my experience just take the contractors advise like a pinch of salt. most will never recommend and tell the truth as end days its all about profit margins they can make. seek advise from those that been there done that and in this forum. generally, whiteness of the laminate depends on the quality, treatment process and thickness of the laminate. for more reliable and higher end laminate its possible that the laminate wont turn yellow not so sure about the lower range and its impossible that shinny surface wont scratch as easily as matte. anything that is shinny and gloss will scratch easily. same too for solid surface table top, those that contains higher and more acrylic will not turned yellow and is more durable. solid surface brand like corian contains almost 100% of acrylic the price is almost double that of acrylic and polyster mixed solid surface. for granite surface you might want to check with khriz i think he is using granite surface for his kitchen. it might be a better idea to take the 2nd layout (all white) in case you wan to get a dryer in future can stack on top and on the left of the WM can do a pull down hidden storage space to put the detergent, bleach etc. my kitchen is all matte black laminate. guess its okay to choose any color as long as its matte laminate as gloss will scratch easily esp in kitchen. white will get easily same too for black HTH

depends on yr budget and preferences. there are MK, legrand, clipsal etc in the market. for each brand there are lower and higher range as well. MK higher range seems pretty decent.

think its nice if lights is cast onto the ceiling can see the lights cast. especially if the ceiling is dark. 2 way power point is helpful if you want to on the light from area A and off it in another area B. eg. 1 is living room, 1 in bedroom. save u the hassle of walking all the way to off the light. the minus point of cove light is dust will trap there easily and very hard to maintain the area well. hi tanglin halt ceiling can be kinda low. maybe whole ceiling white might help to enlarge the space. i guess if you have both side cove lights, most properly you will only use the light above the sofa cos the cove lights nearer to TV side can be too glaring when watching TV. you might end up using just the down light on top TV and cove light above the sofa area. HTH.

but those lemon wax spray for furniture will be good. solid surface is made from polyster and acrylic. the higher the concentration of acrylic the more durable and more expensive it will be. this is why brands like corian is more expensive than others. scratches is inevitable for all surfaces. HTH
