  1. ai ya. drool more loh. 2molo ask yr wife bring down a bucket for me to wash toilet hehe hello happy pre boxing day some pixs to share for the actual done up reno. hope its not a disappointment compared to the 3D hor LIVING ROOM LIVING ROOM LOOKING INTO KITCHEN
  2. this is why its call "hotel" and not "home" mah. my master toilet is totally transparent with glass doors though okay lah. love the high floor, great location and BIGGER space yeah. all walls done hehe. the final cost ..................
  3. Are you going to have cement screeded walls in your bathrooms? no lah, i did cement screen just for the master toilet dry area. the wet area all moasic tiles. tweak the perspectives a little. cement screen not advisable if in contact with water too much. And what will you be using for your wall coverings in Living Room 1 and Living Room 2? done the cement slabs effects, inspired by the japanese fellow tadao nako or something hehe. Lastly, your glass sliding wardrobe doors ... may I recommend that you use opaque glass film? I have had experience with translucent glass doors/frost glass doors, and they look fabulous ... only when the wardrobe is empty or when you only have clothings of ONE colour. Realistically, we have clothings, bags and accessories of all sorts of colours and when you can see them through the glass, it's like a disaster zone in there .... or like my DH says "wayang". ha definitely agree with you. this is partly the reason why i "fired" my id. though i'm into radically different idea, it have to be at least practical to live in as well. i was even recommeded to do master toilet without door. i say cannot and was told "nice wat"
  4. gt our keys in march but the hunt for ID started 6 months before. went through quite a few ids before selecting an id that managed to get what we want but we also dropped in the end after paying for the layout plan. looking for an id that can keep things really simple yet ensure that its practical for everyday use. we gave the id the brief to 1. remove all walls and relayout the floor plans 2. plenty of storage 3. no wood grains okay except for bed room 4. use black, grey and whites 5. a marine tank. 6. ensure interior doesnt look cluttered after everything is shifted in. 7. keep things simple attached are the 1st round of 3D that was proposed to us. due to guts that there gottna be issues working with the id , we purchase the space planning and 3D and i decided to do and coordniate the reno myself the final results are pretty close to what wat was proposed after i did some minor change !! boss. you see so many times liao lah. not tired hur
  5. thanks jule. yet to shoot. will show the perspectives first. !!
  6. hi there. moved in liao lah. got our keys in march and moved in this september
  7. hello season's greetings. finally, settling down and trying to figure out how to share our flat online. khriz been asking me to post it up online but dunno how and bo eng too. the apartment will house my wife and little girl. moved in september after renovating for more than 5 months. getting things figured out, fixed and getting things right. firstly, lets see the floor plan will try to update ASAP.
  8. guess particle board is same as gymson board? if it is, it can withstand and hold door if its construct properly. can get the guy to put in solid timber inside the board so you can drill the hinges for the door. there is different materials inside the gymston board, can even mount air con vent on the wall
  9. didnt try any of them before. however, think its very important that you look for an id that can capture the style and mood you want for the home. rather than having someone that is very good but cannot capture what you want. from project file website, think they are very good in clean, simple style. just 2 cents worth
  10. used grohe for my whole flat except for kitchen sink set which is from teka. so far no complain. after sales service from grohe fast response too. rain shower no issues too
  11. you can get 1 big bean bag for less den $100... for the GOD design is more special with head rest so its about $180??? forgot the price liao. can check it out at the raffles city outlet. they have display outside
  12. think be quite difficult to find something that is cheap and good for this type of toy, as this is considered life's luxuries, and luxuries items are never cheap according to my research, the most reilable brand to get for this kind of toy is from clipsal or legrand. there are of course imitation brands from korea and china as well. i took my switches from clipsal but not the remote control. best to spend more money to get a reliable brand than having the curtains "hang" halfway when the circuit board malfunction
  13. there a shop at basement of park mall and another 1 at 3rd level of holland V shopping centre. got mine from antropolgy at raffles city. from GOD brand, pretty unique in shape.
  14. i'm using clipsal dimmable fluo light switches for my flat. didnt get the remote control though. the supplier brought one for me to test its not bad. think it works using RF and can control bedroom from living room and vice versa. unless its a bunglow lah they have a main which you can light to your curtain etc. not cheap though. 1 way 2 gang switch cost more den 500 liao
  15. did mine some time back. think all vendors are selling at about same cost. just white colour will cost slightly more. i did an "L" shape around $250.00. you can choose from a few ready made measurement that they already have.
  16. thanks. compared liao, buying off racks for certain items cost more den to custom made. so decided to custom made everything to fit the layout instead
  17. GTeton, just come along for a drink and introduce yourself lor; you can go see some of the neighbours' reno mah. Most of you staying at Blk 91, I am one of the odd one...hehe... Erm, concealing wires is against HDB's regulations hor... odd meh? me olso 89.... its not odd its call "bo bian" kena cheated by men in white boss, give me a call or sms 2molo. if free i jump down !!
  18. cool to find someone doing B&W hehe. i did my whole flat B&W with glass keep things simple
  19. the latest is based on actual reading. i use the clothes dryer about 3 times a week and got a huge aquarium sucking the electricity. if it hover around $160.00 is still okie cos my previous flat already $130.00 liao. heard quite lots of neighbour mentioned about high electrical and water bill? could the meter be "prototype" too? so its not accurate
  20. any body keeping arowana? can catch them and feed the fish its up to inidividual preferences as which type to use lor. for me case is i've a bath tub and i want a conceal look so went for storage heater. it take just 5 ons to heat up whole tank so quite okie. btw, what's everyone average electrical and water bill? mine is around $160.00
  21. you meant the toilet bowl they use is "for trying out" our block is prototype meh? the price we paying is not prototype price leh. hi i using ariston water heater and its super hot if turn full. think the issue is with the time it takes for the water to travel from the pipe to the destination. for common toilet not too bad but for master toilet take a while longer. so now will on the shower den use the cold water to wash clothes etc. my neighbour is using instant water heater and was told that the water temperature is quite inconsistent cos its due to the water passing through the heater.
  22. another thing is that, the distance of my door and wall is so far to the point that i could find a door magnet long enough to fit. so no choice need to use a wenge all the time. if you want, can but those door magnet that is drill onto the floor instead. i'm using one, it works but need to drill onto the floor tile. !!
  23. i'm afraind it might be difficult to get them back to fix a new set cost i believe the $400 already covered their initial cost and manpower. so they will not be keen for the other $130 as if they redo the set. they be making a lost. i've learnt that the best way is to give just 10% deposit and pay all upon completion of project. usually the last 2 or last payment is their profits. the earlier payment is their material cost.
