Hi, My wife and I have been viewing the forum for over 6 months now. We are looking for recommendations for a experienced contractor and in the process of getting a few quotes. We would however like to get advice from people who are more experienced from Renotalk. 1. We are a new home owner and we just repurchased a repossessed flat from HDB, so the house in fact is very old and very bare, in fact it is empty. We would need new contractor to do Everything i.e. kitchen, carpentry, electricity, toilet, air con etc... We are clueless where to start! 2. We are hence looking for an experienced contractor - those who are willing to do major overhaul. At least there no need to have any hacking! We have a good idea what kind of theme to have (Modern Resort) but need good tips on how to make it practical and liveable for ~6 people. So far we are attracted to the teak-like/birch veneer furniture in IKEA 3. As we are a young couple, our savings are limited (and need to save for wedding too!) so we want contractors who are able to give reasonable quotes. Also, we did not consider ID to save costs?! Will the costing be very different? Please help if you have a good contractor to recommend or any good tips to share! Thanks!
