Hi, got some questions about networking and your use of popcorn hour etc. No experience with NAS before. Getting a new HDB 5rm BTO. Floorplan as follows My main aim is to set up a NAS (? synology) so to store my photos and also to stream movies/videos to both my TVs (either living room or bedroom). Hopefully via How is your experience with popcornhour? I currently have a ACryan playonHD. But i'm thinking of just directly streaming to either the smart tv/smart bluray player. Will lose some flexibility with the subtitles and file types. But likely more convenient overall. I opted for floors in when i signed on 3 yrs ago. I'll probably not hack the floors though i may be tempted to lol If not then, probably thinking of running the cables via false ceiling in my living room +- my hallway into my MBR (also false ceiling/lightbox) Can i just get cables from Monoprice? http://www.monoprice.com/products/subdepartment.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10232 Option 2 will be to use wireless but i prefer wired for streaming of videos... Originally wanted to go tampoi to buy philips led downlights earlier on. Then realised philips has no square led downlights. hmm i will still go JB to take a look. But in terms of warranty, if got problem. Going to JB to change say 1 x downlight vs just buying another one from taobao china is not much difference lol

wow i've been eyeing the same downlight as u. without shipping it's roughly 1/3 the price of a square downlight in singapore. Have u received it yet? Most of the downlights in taobao are circular. another good thing is that it's a 4000K instead of usual 3000k which i feel is too warm.

Have a Panasonic in my parent's home. The inverter is actually not switched on. My mum says in our weather, the inverter causes the food to spoil faster so she stopped using it. Just food for thought.
