  1. I happened to pass by some neighbourhood stores selling traditional switches/sockets which cost above 2-3 dollars per piece easily. Legrand products are slightly pricey, but I like the design, they look elegant & classy. My newly renovated place required not more than 40 pieces, which I suppose it's still affordable. Thanks for your interest.
  2. Sorry, was buzy with renov & shifting lately. No, I don't provide installation. Cash & carry. Thanks for your interest.

  9. Recced the renovation works done so far, was quite amazed the MBR & Children toilets' wall tiles were 70% done on the 7th day MBR toilet Children toilet
  10. Things seemed to move slower if you monitored the renovation works day by day. The hacking works took roughly four to five days, and removal of debris took place a day or two later after hacking and could last the entire weeks (six days). Decided to take a short break at Malacca on the eve/actual day of Deepavali. Also had in mind to buy somethings to decorate our new home. Saw & bought this piece of wooden buddha craftwork along Jonker walk street (chinatown):
  11. Thanks for your suggestion. Of course, windows grill is a must but I don't think it would compromise much on the view.
  12. Hmmm... I was wondering whether you are one of my neighbours... But looking @ your EM layout, it is different from mine.
  13. Congrats & looking forward to more posting.
  14. Although a low-flat unit, you would b surprize it's unblocked when looking up from the balcony. The feeling is great to be able to see my ride (not mine) ! I love the balcony very much, it gives you an open feel as thought the balcony is not part of the building...

  16. I went to inspect the house on the first day of hacking: Not hacking the cabinet wall area to save hacking cost, revealing part (behind fridge) would be overlaid with wall tiles...
  17. Aiyo, just saw your rolling "ong lye" and salty thingy.. shud have tell me earlier... How I wish that I could turn back the clock... Anyway, no regrets as I really enjoyed the home-making moment...
  18. The time-frame nine-to-eleven today wasn't good to commence renovation in the context of Feng Shui, so had to pick one before that as I wasn't on leave today. Both 1-3 & 3-5 am were asuspicious timing. The hammering is really a simple act to signify the beginning of renovation, the "soil-moving ceremony". Not to worry, I was very discreet, and you had to hit in the right directions somemore based-on some online Feng Shui references..
  19. Finally, we collected our house keys from the lady owner yesterday. My 2nd son made the grand opening... I'd a busy day fetching my family members & friends to & fro our new home... tiring but very excited! Today is an excellent day for starting the renovation, and I woke up @ 4am to catch the asuspicious timing, hammered the place to signify the beginning of "soil-moving" ceremony (if you know what I mean).
  20. Congrats on your new found home.. huh? why i din see your unit as I suppose I bought my unit somewhere around your period.
  21. Went to M-Flow Plumbling Trading in Chong Pang which sells kitchen & bathroom accessories. Heard from my contractor about this shop is having closing down sales. Never thought of spending so much for my kitchen & toilet accessories, the damage was 3.8k comprising of a) 3 set of OTTO W/C (those retailing @ 599) with sinks, excluding taps, spray guns, towel bars and hidden accessories for W/C (10 yrs warranty for W/C) b) Hobz Cooker & hood (comes with 2 yrs warranty) c) 2x Rinnai instant heater (ease of maintenance & not worrying children would play or spoil while playing water) d) 1x rain show & mixer for MBR (retain old storage heater from previous owner) e) Kitchen sink + tap Now starting to worry about other costs for aircon, furnitures (not many as most carrying over) and lightings... I estimate to total up to 40k (renov) + 10~15k = ranges from 55k to 60k
