  1. I supposed in my case my contractor should bear the costs since they did a relocation of the gas pipe for me.. Thus any problem they should be responsible for it right? Greg, not only we have similar taste we have similar problems too !

  4. Citygas came down on sat to do the installation of the gas meter but unfortunately it could not be completed as the guy said there's a small leak of gas somewhere! FML! Called the contractor up and since it was a saturday... he could only arranged for the licensed gas plumber to come and take a look on monday... was super duper sian after i hear that... i wonder where is the leak? so that would mean that i would need to get citygas to come down again for another installation/turn-on after the contractor fix up the problem. Does that mean i could get the contractor to bear the costs ? Since i actually arranged for an express turn-on service for last saturday which costs me $70 and ended up it was a wasted trip... Fortunately, i have the induction stove thus i could smoothly cook (or rather my mom cook hehe) last nite and have dinner at the new apt (necessary due to fengshui reasons)... some hiccups here and there but guess i managed to accomplished what needs to be done. More touch-ups will be done at the new place .. sigh... the painting sucks big time! i hope they could get it right this time round... it's been going on for weeks and they still can't get it done nicely... so looks like i will be staying over at the BF's place for this week till all the touch-ups are done... Ok, enough of the ranting for now... shall post some pics of the apartment

  15. oh yes.. the rope is very crucial.. it makes / breaks the whole look... the shop supposed to give me the rope (out of goodwill) but i guess they forgot to send it together when they did the delivery.. just called them up to check if i could still have the rope hehehe i don't think i will remove the chain as it acts as a support, think will find a way to tie the rope around the chain.. the rope should just be for decor only...will post up pics of the finished product!

  18. it has been raining for the past few days and i was afraid that my outdoor decking project couldn't be completed on time…thank god i think it's finally completed today! i haven't seen the final product yet but it'd better turn out to be good… can't wait to head down on-site tomorrow (pic took on tues evening - day 2) On the safe side, i actually changed the astroturf installation project from thursday to saturday.. i was afraid that the decking project couldn't be completed on time as the varnish gotta be fully dried. So much for my worries as the decking was completed today as per schedule. oh yes, i finally purchased my 'centerpiece' light for the kitchen island area over the last weekend! YAY! the electrician fixed it up yesterday and it's gorgeous IMO… my ID wasn't too keen on it initially as he thinks it's too girlish hehe.. anyway, it's been set in stone… the light has been fixed up and there's no turning back! \ THE ROPE IS THE KEY! So my next task is to go to the hardware shop to find some rope and tie it to the lamp…loving it!
