  1. received a call from ID's assistant that the painting for the MBR has been done! can't wait to head down to take a look as I'm quite worried that it will turn out to be a little too dark. anyway, the colors chosen for the apt are pretty dark.. hence the t-blog title! keeping my fingers crossed on how it will turn out.... the color samples are below: living room color - NOBLE GREY MBR color - GRANITE close up of the living room color (noble grey) think it's not very accurate though.. due to the lighting i guess... *anxious
  2. hi blackpeace, i bought this faucet for my kitchen and still waiting for the delivery from amazon: as for the connector, i'm asking my ID to go to the place recommended by bettarism to get it for me... i doubt they went to purchase it yet. as for whether if it's suitable for the bathroom faucets, i'm sorry i can't advise you becos' im not changing my existing bathroom faucets at my place. maybe you can try to see if there's any difference in the faucet and call up hansgrohe shop to find out?
  3. greg, how's the dark colors doing for you so far? i think i have very few white walls... the colors chosen for the whole house is leaning towards very dark shade of grey and lighter grey for the bedroom.... im getting quite worried hahaha
  4. yesh! tats the only good piece of news so far... i have been busy mourning the loss of my watch and bracelet
  5. wow.. it's been so long since my last update... nothing much is happening and i haven't been down onsite as well... the only piece of good news i get so far... carpentry targeting to be in on 10 or 11 October! YAY!
  6. love the look of the old flats in TB area... looking forward to more pics from your reno!
  7. i do hope i'm lucky enough to get from my frens, both of my frens told me they threw away some crates some time back! arrgggghhh.. i should have asked earlier..
  8. Nice! I'm planning on some DIY projects with wine crates too after my place is done. Right now is asking my friends to pass me their unwanted crates
  9. tell me about it.. i just purchased mine after bettarism's info.. and i think there's only 2 left now ... when i was looking at it few weeks ago.. they have like 6-7 pieces!
  10. zihui>> i think so too! thought some colors would be nice since my interiors are mainly darker colors... bettarism>> thanks very much for the info, appreciate that alot! i just put my order in for the hansgrohe faucet from amazon!
  11. OMG! u are a life saver!! how much is the connector?
  12. After a fruitless trip to the wet & rainy Bangkok for a past few days without managing to score any decor items nor furniture for my new place ... boohoo.. headed down to LIKE THAT ONE this afternoon and managed to score some stuff for the new place instead. Finally found the stools (max height 67cm) for the kitchen island although i would have much preferred it in black. Gotta grab these cos one of the partners actually reserved it for me as i called up a couple of days ago telling her to put it on hold for me till i'm back from my trip. When i was there today, the lady who attended to me told me that actually somebody was keen to get it but they couldn't reach me on my mobile for the last few days... ooops! so thumbs up for honouring their promise to keep the stools on hold for me! The perfect lounger for the patio (on the astroturf) as it is so summer & cheery looking. Out of the colors available: white, yellow, green, pink and blue, i chose pink & blue cos they were both gonna be placed outside at my patio... white would tend to turn yellow i guess.. and green on the astroturf wouldn't stand out as much. I like the yellow too but it's in an egg shape... thus the best choice would be pink+blue combination. Just perfect for a his/her combination.. one for me, one for the BF. Oh, i must say that it's really comfy! The happy family of the acapulco chairs:
  13. greg, not sure if u are looking at sonos play bar (can't remember) , but if you are do remember that the sonos playbar only works with LED TV from what i know due to the optical input/output that only LED TV has ... just a reminder that's all.
  14. hi greg, thanks for sharing ur view.. i guess the most attractive draw factor for the LED lights should be the fact that they do not generate as much heat. I remembered my previous apartment i was using alot of halogen lights and they really make you feel hot after being under it for a while. cost wise, LED are definitely alot more expensive than the norm ones and i can really feel the pinch to have to fork out so much for it. if one is looking to save money on electricity bills, i think the difference is not really that fantastic considering the initial outlay is so many times more. in my case, i guess i don't have much better choices since i hated the heat generated by the halogen lights and LED should be more comfy in this aspect. Just have to bite the bullet and do it
  15. I have been warned by Vanessa too.. But thanks! hehe I guess I just gotta be more diligent in cleaning it. Fret not, I bought a dishwasher too so that should help as well cos I really hate washing dishes
  16. finally some work being done at the new place.. some pics update by the ID: MBR original wall (TV will be placed here) - BEFORE: MBR wall with partition - AFTER: and then... the original plaster on the living room wall is down! The ID said the wall is nice thus we can just need to paint over it (hopefully some treatment will be done?) and we will have a real brick wall..yay! can't wait to see the final result!
  17. thanks mrsmerry... the quote that i have gotten is pretty high (more exy than yours) but i guess what sets them apart is the quality (i hope!) just feeling the pinch from the expensive LED lights!
  18. hmm i didn't really compare against phillips one except via the website lightings.com.sg , however the specs for the philips LED and the one i got are slightly different. Thus, it's not really a fair comparison ... my LED lights are definitely pricier than the philips one i think will pm u seperately. thanks
  19. just received my LED lighting quote yesterday and makes me wonder if it's really worth it to pay so much just for LED lights. i'm using a total of 27 single recessed downlight, 8 single dimmable recessed downlight and 3 double recessed downlight! the lighting plan: the quote from the lighting supplier with the specs of the LED: does anyone out there have the same doubts about LED lightings? Is it really worth the high price?
  20. the specs are: thickness: 1 mm bowl: 800 x 400mm bowls' depth: >=200mm dimensions: 850 x 505mm drain: 3.5" packaging: 910x540x290 mm 10.7kg you can google for FOSTER Quadra. 1V.80x40ST
